Fading fast. Sweet dreams all.

I cannot rest tomorrow, Tina---I have to go Birthday gift/Baptism gift shopping. Then I will need to go grocery shopping..hopefully I will get home in enough time in order to catch a nap. But yes, you are most certainly correct in your assessment.

I came home at 1 pm to find my DD & her 3 boys here already. SO I offered to take the oldest to the grocery with me, but she siad no, so I went by myself.

They are finally asleep & I am washing clothes for them.

I didn't do anything I planned to do today. I didn't do much of anything at all. And I'm tired again.

No she did not--she is a different duck. She hung out here all day---(a lot of the time by herself)---and it would have been NICE to be here with her---but no, she KNEW I had shopping to do and only 1 day to do it, BUT if I had of known that she was coming I could have had Rod take me shopping yesterday afternoon so today would have been free and we could have visited. But oh well.

The computer fix is good for now. I really need a new one...some day.

Tina, some days doing nothing is a good thing.

I cut the grass and weed wacked yesterday, today I have an hour of weeding to finish. Then I am making cucumber preserves from my garden this afternoon

How do you preserve cukes? I only know of pickling them.

that's what I meant...sorry for the mix up. I just said preserves because I make different varieties at the same time.

Sunny, your family is very lucky to have you do all of this preserving for them. I hope they know it. !!

Pickled beets are made...slowly but surely the Winter's stock pile is building

OH MY !! I LOVE pickled beets. I have even found a recipe to make them one pint at a time..(I love them Rod, not so much )

Yes Tina, The 5 of them are coming here at some point Thursday and then will stay Thurs/Fri/Sat night. I assume we will be making cakes for the party.

Just got a text......Surprise (NOT)
My DD & her DH want to go shopping or (to my mind) just out for the day & so they asked me to watch "the boys" when I was done with my errand. She can't (or won't tell me what time) so after she said she would call me with a time, I said I would text her when I was home...

I LOVE having the kids, and am very happy to help her--she is left alone with NO help when she is back in Virginia,-----what I do not love is how she does things--she knows what she is doing, & when, BUT, she will go to great lengths to NOT tell me anything until the very last moment, and even then tries to be vague about things...this is very frustrating to me.

I am going to let the laundry finish & then do the dishes. I am then off to bed, so I can get a good night's sleep

Errands done, & groceries put away...They are on their way over here now--so I ate an early lunch.....

Hi all...just came back from the clinic with GG. She has a virus/gastro again. I was up all night with her and also had to wash all the bedding and sofa cushions

Oh, I am sorry, Sunny. How miserable for her and you. I hope she gets over it quickly.

YAY for errands----(& their completion)

I wrapped all of my gifts & straightened up the basement some this morning. Thank goodness that is done--the boys played with doll houses while I did that.

Ladies & gents:

I am closing down the computer and then I will likely NOT be back until say Sunday night or Monday Morning. Valarie & her family are coming and I will need the dining room table clear & that is where I keep my Laptop...(Rod & I do not use the dining room table). YAY for both of my Daughters/their spouses & the 7 littles.

I did get to Teddy's appointment this morning. And banked. But put off shopping for another day. I had to get home. So another trip will happen.

I had to run errands today...sad part is that most were not even mine

DH had a great-Aunt pass away so that will take up our day tomorrow...she was 90, her heart just stopped beating in her sleep. I hope I go like that.

Yes, my grandmother went like that too. At 96. I can only hope.

Change of plans....funeral will be Monday instead.

They are having a children's 'chocolate bar bingo' today as part of a community fundraiser. I'm not sure how it works but I have a grand daughter begging me to take her this afternoon.
