All my company is gone back to their homes. So now the house cleaning-putting it back to rights is the next thing on the agenda.

Sunny you may be right. Maybe I'm allergic to Colt because this cough is winning the war right now. I feel horrible. I went to Shelley's church yesterday because they were having a ceremony for the graduates and Darbi was a graduate, sat on the very back row, tried not to cough and covered when I did, and the lady in front of me got up and moved one pew up and I didn't blame her one bit. After the graduates did their thing I left. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to sit around me.

We have Vacation Bible School starting tomorrow night so I hope I'm up to it.

Good morning. I was up at three but went back to bed for a couple of hours. Now I'm up for real and getting ready to go out.
Do you have a lot of baby-proofing to do when the kids come, Carol?
I hope everyone has a good day.

I think doing nothing is the most tiring thing there is, Sunny. Working keeps one awake (well it does me anyway)

Tina, I have a lot the girls and Ian cannot get into. BUT we keep the very "littles" in the living room boxed in with a chair on it's side and then we only have to baby-proof that one room. Makes it a lot easier.

by the time they are 3, we can simply watch them closely & make them mind.

(well it has worked that way on the first 3, we shall see how it goes with the last 4)

Today I will be mowing dandelions. It seems they grow even when the grass does not. lol

Yes about the dandelions. Our yard is full of them,-- and clover. I hate that as Rod worked SO very hard to establish and keep this yard in good shape. and he lets it go for a few years & oops, the "weeds" take over. it is quite sad how things like that work.

I am happily off to ceramics--TTYAL

Got my hair trimmed today. Since my guy jacked it up the last 2 times I've been anxious about having it cut again. I went to a new person and had her cut it dry. It seems pretty good right now but for some reason once it's washed and dried it may not look the same. You'd think it would pull out the same but sometimes that just doesn't happen.

I feel a little bit better today so I'm going to go to Vacation Bible School. We'll have a good time.

Tina, I hope your day was well. Glad you got some extra sleep. That is always a good thing.

Sheri, glad you are feeling better..I guess I am lucky, my DH's cousin cuts my hair & so it is usually a good cut. Now I cannot fix it like she does, but hey, I did not go to beauty school either.

I cut my own hair all the time....once a year I get DD's friend to re-layer it. She say's I'm the reason behind the mess that needs to be fixed lol

I have errands to run today.

I wish I could cut my own hair..as it is I wait for Rod to decide he needs a new cut, then I book mine at the same time.

Tina, yes I had a good time--but then I usually do !! WE go to lunch afterward & then we just visit until 2 pm. Thank goodness, the restaurant we go to is OK with is staying after our meal is done.

I am soon off to my errands as well. I am beginning to understand why people "like" staying home--it has it's good points.

I wish everyone a good day.

I am right back to being sick. I just can't shake this cough and it's beginning to wear me down.

I cut my own hair all the time and that's part of my problem because I am definitely NOT a hair stylist. I try not to do it but sometimes I can't rest until I do. Weird huh?

I hope you get well soon, Sheri.

Well we went to the Drs. (just a yearly check-up) and then did some shopping.

I found out it would be around $700.00 just to get my grandmother's engagement ring reset.

Good news is that I have my good watch fixed. it needed cleaned out, a new gasket placed in the works ans a new battery (I was not taking any chances.)

YAY for me.

Hi all.

That is a lot of money Carol...I hope you can get a second quote somewhere.

I have been busy, GG has tonsillitis and tonsil stones. We were at the hospital all day yesterday...they have to do something. She has fevers every week and misses school for days at a time. They are supposed to call today to get the ball rolling for a tonsillectomy. I had to see a nurse practitioner to get in to see a doctor then now I have to wait to see a pediatrician to get an appointment with a ENT specialist. touched

Gracious, what a run around Sunny, and in the mean time poor GG suffers (not to mention her gran parents) I hope things move along quickly for all your sakes.

Yes I was quite shocked at what it would cost to have the ring reset. It cost me like $85.00 in 1980 to have it reset then. and while the setting he showed me was simple yet beautiful, THAT is a lot of money that is not even for my diamond. (it needs resized big time, so I do not wear it. Luckily I have my 25th anniversary ring to wear.

Not to mention he told me it was a blood stone, not a ruby. Now, when I had it reset the first time, I was told it was not only a ruby, it was a high quality ruby...and the place I was in this time was classy to say the least....so I am way confused.

I always thought a blood stone was green and red flecked...I think you should really search out another jewelry shop.

It is a rainy weekend. I could use a quiet Saturday anyway...have a good one.

Yes, and he said that it is slightly chipped & a ruby would not chip--well it is over 100 years old....and yes I looked up a blood stone as well..it is DEFINATELY not medium/lighter pink---yes I will be going to another place, which is sad as these people have a store that I could drive to myself--but oh well.

I will find a place that I am sure about. Thanks for all the advice guys.

Junie, a bloodstone isn't a solid color. A ruby is more solid in color. Does seem a lot to reset it.

Yes it is a lot to rest it...and on top of it I was looking at the setting in a book---I would love to see the setting before I bought it, ya know??

As I said, I will find a place I am sure.

The promised storms have not hit yet, so I got to go out to eat...it was very nice..

I am headed to bed everyone. sweet dreams.

No such goings on here... although both girls did call their Daddy to say Happy Father's Day. That was nice.
