HELP! I had my aloe vera plants inside during the winter. They were strong, green, and healthy. I took them outside last week and now they look like they are dying. The leaves are fading color and look weak. Some have brown spots on them. A few have curled leaves. We did get some cooler weather but not freezing. It has rained and pots they were in had drainage. They were in regular potting soil, I see now that's not good. Also getting afternoon sun while outside. I have them back inside and out of pots. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome Agmom. It doesn't take freezing to shock plants with cold. It was more than likely a sudden move from the warmth indoors to outside. I grow aloe outside all year long in my SoCal garden. Sometimes through light frosts. It survives and thrives. I think yours will recover with new growth if given a chance.
