I am tired also....but I will not go to sleep for awhile yet..
Bad news is my tablet "might" have some type of malware. The notice kept talking of Trojans or some such--and said not to go on Google Chrome (I use IE)
so I wrote it all down & I will show my computer guy when/if he comes over tomorrow night wit6h my laptop.

Good morning. I have yet to sleep from last night. I got close but the I would start dripping and coughing. I woke Teddy with the cough. Jonni was still awake reading. She decided to fix some bacon and eat it along with some string cheese at 3 am.
So that makes the whole family awake.
I hope I can sleep soon.

Have lot's of fun with Henry. Carol. And steal a snuggle with the girls too.
I went out today and it was a mighty expensive proposition. Two stores and $460. The only meat I got was some bacon. I also went to the post office and stopped for gas. That's what I get for putting it off so long. I play catch up a lot.

Yes, I buy things that won't spoil in bulk. And buy backups for my backups. The way the prices are going, they're never going to be cheaper than they are today.

Tina, I am so glad that you are able to stockpile what your family needs....you are so right on the rising prices.
I wish I had the room to store extra supplies. My house is so small that storing for a month ahead is all I can do.
Not sure what today holds...we have a chance of freezing rain. Thinking we'll wait 'til tomorrow to visit Grandboy.

I am home from my weekend with my Grandson & his 3 sister's. Then after Rod finished cutting the grass, we Skyped with our other DD & her family.

Hi all. I was so busy yesterday that I never even turned on the computer. I dug a trench in the snow so I can use the clothesline Today I house cleaned my bedroom...just the curtains to be ironed and hung. I hear you all on the to-do list....it never gets shorter.

Hi all. Well, today I got the entrance and the closet fully house cleaned. Just the curtains to iron this evening. Slow and steady wins the race The snow has been melting nicely...I even see a few bare patches out on the lawn

I hope your eyes clear up soon.
I cleaned the inside of all the kitchen cupboards today....how one gather so much junk amazes me.
I also have been trying to get a refund back from Bitdefender for charging me for re-installing an antivirus that I did not sign up for. I clicked to not have a continued subscription and they did it anyway. It wasn't worth the $60 for the first year....let alone another $60. They should be prevented from charging credit cards unknowingly. So far they have offered $30 back...I refused.

Hi all, we have been getting heavy rain...which is really melting the snow  Today I will tackle the worst job of all when it comes to spring cleaning. That's the cleaning of the top of the kitchen cupboards....the grease/residue seems to collect like glue. I know now why people build them right to the ceiling. The fact that I keep knick knacks on top doesn't help either. Hoping someone is having more fun than me today

Good morning everyone. I am feeling better, but am far from well.
I wish I could clean the top of my cabinets and the things up there, Sunny. But I can no longer climb up and down. I agree on the knowing why people have cabinets to the top of their ceilings now. I originally wanted to do that at the farm, but it was so much cheaper to just make them regular height, that I went that way...I wish these cabinets were to the ceiling or that I had a built in soffett. But oh well. Glad you snow is melting.
We are going to get heavy rains from Friday night to Sunday night. They are also saying that is more of a promise than a forecast

Hi all. I am wondering as well Tina. I cleaned out the garden shed yesterday...it has been taken over with toys. Today we spend the day with grandboy and I need to take DD for groceries. Thinking I'll treat myself to a coffee and donut at the coffeeshop as well

Good morning. It's very windy out there today. And the green growth from the rainy winter is beginning to brown off. It was so pretty after our droughts.

Tina, I almost wish it would be raining here again too. We went to Tori's soccer game yesterday at 5:30 and it was so hot we could not breath. Sweat was visibly pouring off everyone there. I almost wore jeans because at Darbi's softball game the prior evening it was overcast and I ended up putting on a light sweater that I happen to have in the car. I might have melted like that bad witch in the Wizard of Oz if I had worn them.

I didn't go to the farmers market. Haven't been in a while. Since our egg lady has started weekly deliveries and the market director left it's just sort of chaos there. I've had 2 people tell me that a few of the vendors are bringing in produce from who knows where and that it's probably been frozen. This past fall I asked one vendor how he had tomatoes so late in the season and he said "I just do." I wondered then what was going on. Another vendor told me that this particular man had already been thrown out of a farmers market 16 miles down the road from me. And my egg lady said that there is no chicken farmer within the allowed 50 miles that has enough chickens to bring in the hundreds of eggs one vendor has started bringing in. Would be lovely to have a fresh tomato but I'm going to wait until mine come in or I'm sure some of the reliable vendors have some from their early plantings or greenhouse. My plan for this afternoon (because I didn't get out there earlier enough this morning) is to plant squash seeds and cucumber seeds and green bean seeds. We shall see if this actually happens.

Hello everyone. I have had a rough few days. The Nurse Practitioner that I saw said I have an ear infection and a sinus infection. I am on a strong antibiotic 2 times a day. The pain is not so bad now but I still cannot sleep for more than say 2 hours at a time yet. Thanks for the concern, I am getting better, it is just going to be slow. Planting seeds already, how wonderful for you Sheri. I an envious. Good for you. I agree about the farmers market. I wish we had a nice/reliable one here. we have a small one but if you do not get there right when they open, you had may as well not bother. An "adult treat" (Coffee & donuts) Ya for you, Sunny. That sounds wonderful. Yay for rain, Tina. I wish you a better year weather-wise this year.

I did get out there an plant some vegetables as well as some marigold seeds my sister sent me. I have a few more tomato plants that aren't quite ready to go out but if everything comes up I'm set for the growing season.

I was able to live stream the daytime Emmy's on my la[-top tonight. They were great. I have not been able to watch for years, so this was a treat YAY for me !!
MY DD with the triplets texted me tonight.. she wake up last night with the chills, horrid aches & pains and a bad sore throat. She went to the Urgent care & got meds....the same that my Mom & I got on Monday...
(ab out Mom & I )The NP really did not tell my mom what her problem was other than to say wow that is is bad when looking in her mouth and grimacing at me when she looked in my mouth. I asked if I has an ear infection (she said yes) I asked if I had a sinus infection (she said yes) She told my Mom nothing.
Mom & I went to the same NP on Friday. Valarie went last night & had a throat culture done ( thank goodness) so she KNOWS she has strep throat.

Happy 1st of May. Sorry that you are all sick Junie, GG was a bit sniffly this a.m. so I am sure she will be as well. Yay for being garden ready Sheri, I am jealous....I am just starting to buy some seeds. Hoping the budget is all in order Tina...I find it easier to do that as well. I will be done with the housecleaning by the end of the day. I just took apart all the photo frames and took them outside and spray painted them all flat black. I have so many from over the years and only a few match...I am hoping it makes it all 'flow' better.

Good night Tina. I used to take Sudafed when I needed some help. Now, since I cannot take it any longer, I just get to suffer---I do not want to take antihistamines.
Tomorrow I need to get going early to take my DH's truck in to get the oli changed. Then in the afternoon, I need to go with my MIL to a Drs. appt.

Hi all. I was thinking GG might have allergies but it seems that when she starts to get sick she has a mild fever as well at first. The doctor keep saying it is all from a virus but I am making an appt. with a pediatrician to get some blood work. She has too many fevers in the run of a month. Today I have sewing alterations in the afternoon, children's clothes. It seems that there is quite a demand for fixing straps and hemming by the local moms in the area. It won't hurt to make a few dollars for myself.  Tonight GG and I are will be attending the school book fair fundraiser...it should be fun.

I and my grand children love going to the school book fair. When I was a school nurse I would check it out every day it was open even though they put out all the books on the first day. Love books.
Sunny, that's a great idea. Neither of my girls even own a needle or spool of thread. Shelley will ask me to sew on a button once in a while but I think Ginger either uses clothes as dusting rags or donates them to somewhere thinking someone will fix them. I hate to admit this but I'm pretty sure that both my girls have told me they've thrown clothes away because they needed a button or had a rip. I told them not to tell anyone else because it's so wasteful.

Mr. Rape has shown up again. A while back, a real while back I mentioned to him that the posts around the screened in porch need to be scraped and painted or replaced or something because the paint was peeling and I was worried about termites. Guess he keeps a list. His wife has Alzheimer's and I thought he wasn't working but guess I was wrong. I love that man.
We are fortunate people Tina. We all have a place to get in out of the weather and we have food. Everyone should read the book Nickel and Dimed.

Sheri, you are correct. We all need to look around instead of complaining so much..as you said, we have shelter, food and most likely more clothing than we really need...just to name the basics. Every time someone asks me how I am, I say, "well, I did wake up this morning". And that is how I try to look at it all the time. WE should be thankful for what we have instead of telling the world what we do not have... Going to bed soon. I think tomorrow will be a resting day. I will say good night now---sweet dreams

Amen to being thankful for what we have.
On another note....DH just got a lay off from work until November. They sent home over half the crew, they kept the men with the most seniority. It gets worse each year...lay offs went from a month off to six months off in just a few years.

So sorry to hear of the layoff, Sunny. I hope this all works out for you. But if it has to be, I guess now is a good time for it, as your DH will be able to do more outdoor work around home.
More rain do today and tomorrow around here. My DD who lives in Southern Missouri, has had her school closed so she is home and will be for several days.
Closing roads in MO continually...."A wet day in St. Louis" is what the news is saying 2 to 4 inches due.

Sunny sorry to here about the layoff. Hope he finds work quickly. A man underfoot is aggravating to say the least.
Junie my rain gauge says we got 4 inches last week in 2 days but it was a slow steady rain so it was sort of nice. Rain is a blessing.

Hi all. Thanks for the kind words....problem is that a man underfoot costs more than a man at work. First thing he said is, well guess that's the end of the junk food(extra's are cut out with just Employment Insurance coming in) I have vaguely heard about that diet Sheri...just from being mentioned on TV. I know nothing about it though. We have been getting LOTS of rain as well....I am glad we live on higher ground. At this rate I'll have no snow left by the middle of the month

I am up and at'tem early today. I don't know why.
I went and looked the diet up a bit and it seems to be based on your ethnicity more than blood type. I am not much interested in diets that float around.
I am going to take advantage of the heat and get some stuff done. We are supposed to cool off this weekend and get rain and storms.

I looked it up as well, Sheri. Looks to me like you eat only certain foods based on your blood type.
Me, being A+ would eat mainly green leafy foods....sounds like of limiting to me...and if your me that would get old real quick.
I slept on the couch last night so my head would be raised. I slept much better. But now this morning I am sure still coughing up an awful lot....(to my notion)
I got some news last night. On top of me NOT getting to see my girls or their kids on Mother's Day, I "get" to clean the house extra and make ready for my BIL & SIL, as they will spend Mother's day weekend here so as to see Marie..........
Tina, I too am going to get some things done today as I promised Marie I would come & see her on Friday, and then I will need to go shopping for her Birthday which is Sunday.
Washing clothes now, and then a good kitchen cleaning is on the agenda.
Sunny--YAY for Melting snow, and I am SO sorry for DH's underfoot. BUT at least yours "gets it". Mine would expect the extras to be around more, as he would be home with nothing to do but eat them....

About that blood type diet and ethnicity - might explain my hair cuz I'm B+ and more African Americans than white have B+. Need to have a chat with my mother :)

We had a lot of rain last night and tornado warnings. Thought it was going to rain today and it's looked like it should be raining all day but it's not. Very windy and damp and in the low 60's. I heard it's supposed to be this way for several days. I like it.
Tina, glad you're getting rain. A question. When you run your errands do you take Teddy with you? Have an acquaintance who's son seems to have the same temperament that you've mentioned Teddy has and she has a time getting him dressed, out the door, in the car, then out of the car at whatever store they go too. If she can find someone to stay in the house with him while she goes she's happy.

Good morning. That sounds like a fun kind of busy, Sunny.
No rain yet. But it has cooled down considerably. Mother Nature has my permission to do this once a week all summer long. But, like my children, she doesn't listen to me much.

Tina, I know what you mean. Mother Nature and the kids are the worst listeners
I thought I had posted today. Must not have clicked post.
Did I mention that Ging and Chris sold their house. Was on the market 7 days exactly. They have until June 17th to be out. Good luck is all I can say. They've haven't found another house in their new town yet so I don't envy them renting and then having to move again.

Yes, I agree, good luck to Ginger. I cannot imagine having to find a house ASAP.

Hi all. I think renting for a bit might be a good idea....buying a house under a time crunch might lead to a disaster for Ginger and family. It has been raining here non stop...over half the province is flooded, houses and all. I'd never put a finished basement under my house after seeing the mess people are dealing with. I bought all my veggie seeds...although I was saddened to see that I can't get any rattlesnake beans anywhere~ (heirloom pole bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). They were my favorite

Good morning. It is still raining and cold. I am liking the rain but could ditch the cold. I may dig out my long underwear again.
