Hello Ladies (and the occasional Gent), my co-developer pointed out how old of a copy of the forum software that we where running, and that we're getting super close to an official release; so, as we need to test new features we're now running a newer copy of the UBB.threads beta.

The only setting you'll need to deal with is the selection of your timezone in your preferences (My Stuff -> Preferences -> Display Preferences -> "Your default Time zone"). At this time there is a small bug with the timezone selection, the software will not offset for the hour affected for daylight savings time; while you're at your display preferences you should also turn on the "Use Relative Times" setting so that post times display "time since a post" version "time of the post".

If you where here a couple of hours ago when I started the upgrade you probably saw some irregularities on the forums, and for this I apologize; I was trying to clean up some customized coding that we use here, and I had several little bugs pop up; but all should be well now.

Is this why I cannot go from page to page on a given thread??? I went to the current CH and at the end of a page there is no way to go to the next page..(no forward & backward arrows or page numbers)
I was trying to read up on what I had messed so I could post.

So, you don't see the page indicator buttons like shown in this photo? They should be at the top right and bottom right of the list of postings on a thread...

I disabled the old versions of the UBBThreads and UBBCentral styles (you where using one) and added the newer versions, which where specifically updated for this release; I updated your profile but if it still doesn't show, please update your style selection in your preferences. Let me know if this fixed it.

The default "A Gardeners Forum" style gets regular updates.

If you are looking at a thread with no additional pages (a new thread, or a thread with not enough posts to scroll to a new page), the pagination area currently won't display.

Any time; if something doesn't look right, just let me know! :)

Sure thing...

I speak/post to "Sunny" every day. She said my last post of yesterday was all messed up (looks fine to me) So, she was going to check her settings.
IF you hear nothing from me, she got it resolved.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /home/agf/public_html/forum/scripts/editbasic.inc.php on line 331

Did you clear out the *'s from the password field? it should auto populate it with a string of text that resembles a password, if it's not either that string (123456789123456789) or a new password, it'll throw an error.

No sir, all I did was change the graphics in my signature line, click on preview signature and when I was done I chose save changes...

I will go try all of this again.. BRB..The verify password field was empty---I will go correct that & then see..

I can't get any of your graphics to load, I'm not sure if they're having server difficulties or what's going on.

oops...I got them to load..I failed to come back and tell you. SOOOO very sorry.

I will say that once I added my password the new graphics worked/loaded ok but now to look the 2nd PW is once again gone. I am guessing this is how the new program is working??? I will just have to remember to check when I want to change them. Not a real issue anyway as anymore I am one of the very few people who still change their graphics.

and oh--Sunny says my post is now all straightened out. so whatever it was that was wrong is fixed for her.

Ok, I just pushed out the final version; it should fix any lingering date problems (and the guests now have a date display of PST).
