Good Morning, Barb !!! So glad to see that you were able to get in...we/I missed you a LOT !!!! I hope you are able to get back in again & again.....

So glad your cactus are all in bud....

Good/not so good news on the cactus front here. (The bad news is) Apparently I only have 2 pots of living cactus now a days. I have no idea what color the one in the dining room by my glass sliding doors is, but it has 1 bud.

(The good news) The one in my guest room, that is made up of the pieces that you sent to me, has 4 buds on it !! YAY !!!

IF they either bloom, I will be sure to photograph them for your viewing pleasure.

Yes, this is the most current thread. My mother has hers in the dining room in full sun all year and it blooms like crazy every year.

I had mine in full sun and they did nothing, just stayed the same--I put UV film on the deck doors, to keep out the heat, & some of them died. Then I read that cooler temps & dark a good part of the day would help them bloom...so I tried that.....and here your Mom has it blooming sitting in full sun---which direction is the sun coming from ???

I only have 1 window that faces east that I can put any plants by, but that is the room that is only heated when the kids come home and stay here. I currently have 1 cactus by that window..I had 4 buds on that cactus but only 2 of them bloomed. BUT then the kids were home twice & so the room was heated, and the windows curtains put back down to cover the window for a few days both times.

Thank you for the link Junie. I had no idea this isn't even a real plant. Interesting. And I had no idea they're so easy to propagate. I'm going to prune when my stops blooming and stick the pruned parts in the dirt and see what happens.
