Daughter & family are on their way home around 1:00pm....

I am always sad to see that..but then I was glad they were here....The "girls" are much more aware than they were last summer. The moment they saw me they say anyone they smiled (in the hopes of being taken out of their car seats.....

The good news is they will be back in 3 weeks for our "Dudley Christmas" which will be the weekend of the 17th. Our Dudley Christmas the 17th and then "our" Christmas the 18th. ... Unless we go to their house for actual Christmas. why

Good. I'm glad you got to enjoy them for a bit and show them off. Is Henry still liking them? Or is he slightly overwhelmed?

The triplets have slightly overwhelmed me and I'm far away :) I've watched the show with the 5 baby girls and I don't know how that mother is able to carry on a conversation much less do anything else but she seems unphased by it all. Good to have babies when young.

Yep, I think so too, I know I could not do that now either...Val just seems to go on about her day like normal....

I know I could not. Cuddling a baby is fun. But the work goes with the young.
All day I have been chilly. It never got above 47* outside my door today. And rained off and on all day. A light drizzly rain. And I've been cold in the house too. I am looking forward to my bed tonight.
Sweet dreams everyone.

Good Morning !!

Once again I have been up since 3:30 a.m. Apparently, this has become a bad habit with me.

Anyway, may the Holiday Season begin !!!

Good morning. Happy Monday.
Our rain swept down from Alaska. It was cold and still is although the rain is gone. 42* this morning. Only to go up about 10 degrees today. I'd rather skip winter altogether but we need the rain and snow. So I'll stay cold and grateful.
Today I need to go out for some things, milk, bread, bananas. the usual. And I'm feeling pretty good so it will happen.
I hope everyone has a great day.

I'm chilly too. The heat is on so I'm not sure why. Think I'll put on a long sleeved shirt. We are supposed to get rain this week and I'm praying we do. It's so dry and I'm concerned that everything is going to die. I need to be doing something, actually need to do a lot of things, but I can't get motivated today. The Christmas tree is ready to be decorated so I guess I'll start there. The getting started is the hardest part. :)

Got my first Christmas card Saturday. From dodge.

I can't imagine not being able to sleep. One of my sisters is like you Carol. She can go to sleep but wakes up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. She's tried a lot of different things and has had a little good effect from diffusing essential oils. Try that. Hope it helps.

Thanks so much Sheri. I have been able to go back to sleep the last few times (much later in the morning for a bit, but then I drag the rest of the day anyway.

Wonder if you turn on a constant noise. I sleep with a fan going. And I sleep by myself. That may do the trick for ya.

Thank both of you ladies...I think I have the problem solved. why

I have no idea why it chose now to show it's head, but I drug all day & then after supper I woke up and wanted to do things

Back YEARS ago my DH would work a lot of afternoons & midnights. I would do most of my housework at night when it was quiet, & the kids were asleep & so was alert & active late at night....

I guess I decided to like that routine once again rolz However I am no longer in my 30's....& this "not 30" lady needs her sleep, oh well...

I guess I will soon go watch TV perhaps that will tire me.... prayers

Hi all. I was supposed to take Grandboy to physiotherapy today but they cancelled once again. I told DD to contact the hospital and ask to change therapists...she cancels than we have to wait a month, then she cancels that one again. Meanwhile a 16 month old is not getting his therapy.

I made some bread, buns and cinnamon buns already...we are supposed to get a snowstorm tonight.

I haven't been sleeping well lately either...I use a fan, but strange dreams are taking their toll on me.

MIne is having just enough sleep when I get up to potty to get me by so I cannot get back to sleep.

I think that is turning into a habit plus the other as I have said.

Sunny--sounds as if your DD does need to find a new therapist....That is uncalled for esp. since if your grand boy needs the therapy he needs it on a scheduled basis. not once every 3 or 4 months...I wish you all luck.

Good morning.

It snowed about 6 inches through the night, the plow just passed and schools are open. I have to take GG to an appt today at lunch time, thankfully the clinic is just across from the school. I want a referral for a second opinion about her throat clearing tic.

Then I have to check the drugstore to see if they have a 'knock off' elf on the shelf. I was told last night that the elf always visits on Dec.1st to little kids and all her friends get visits. I don't mind going through all the motions of it but I refuse to pay $50 for a real one. The joys of school rspb

Good morning. I hope you can find your elf, Sunny. I've never seen one in person but would not pay that amount for anything like it. Is your snow still pretty? Our ski resorts are open.
I'm going to run some errands today. That will be enough for this day.
I hope everyone has a good day.

I too think that is a LOT of money for the "Elf". I am thankful that it was not around when my girls were small. I hope you either find a "deal" or a "generic" one.

I have to run a few errands as well. Then to my sister's to pick up an Avon Order.

Lemon chicken is in the crock pot as we speak. We had it at Emily's on October. I hope it comes out well, Rod loved it.

I do like the pictures of the elf that show up on the internet.
Lemon chicken is awesome, Carol. Enjoy it.
I ran my errands today and then baked a cherry pie when I got home. And then I took a nap. That means a good day was had. Now to think about dinner.

Elf on the shelf--now to come up with a lot of places for him to be when Trey is home---and "WHY" he is in said places....oh the fun you'll have....

Cherry pie, huh??? wow, I am on my way over---I love cherry pie & I never make it b/c Rod does not like it... I think that and a cup of coffee (or a glass of milk), sounds like dinner to me.

Good morning. Happy December! My favorite month.
I woke way too early and I'm cold. I've been up a couple hours adjusting the heating and just tinkering in general. But I may just crawl back under the blankets until the sun rises.
I need to take care of the normal business that a new month brings. But I have to wait until the banks open for that.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning !! Happy December from me as well. Sorry that you woke so early, Tina----I know how that goes. It is not fun.

I had planned on going out for a few things I did not get done yesterday.
BUT, Rod has a package coming today (before the end of the day rolz ) so I will likely just stay home...which is bad b/c I cannot finish the errands tomorrow.

Good afternoon all.

The doctor cancelled yesterday, rescheduled for Friday instead...so GG and I went for a 'meat' run instead. I prepped the meat for meat pies last night and made the pastry this morning. I am glad to be done one more Christmas chore.

I also called the pharmacy and had them pre-bag up an elf..(not the real 'elf')so I could pick it up. On sale for $13 and I had $10 worth of points to use on it. A great deal and one excited child this a.m. when it was dangling from the light fixture.

Off to read back and catch up.

I have a friend who wakes up during the night and if she can't go back to sleep she just gets up, goes to WalMart is she needs too, or the all night drug store, cleans, cooks, whatever and then goes back to sleep when she's sleepy again. Suppose that's better than tossing and turning. But if you have to get up with the children or for work that won't work.

I googled Elf on the Shelf and Target, Kohls, and other stores have it for less than $30.00. Shelley and Ginger have one and are constantly trying to think of ideas of where to put that thing. It was fun for a year or two but not so much anymore.

Glad you found a good deal Sunny.

We finally got a little rain but along with that came tornado warnings. Johnny got a warning on his phone that said TAKE COVER NOW but we didn't see a tornado.

YAY for good deals and Pharmacy points !! And yay for being a great Grammy !! Happy Grands are the best.

At the pharmacy I go to, I get to take 1/2 off of the full price of an item, if you have a full punched card--I save the cards for Gifts.

Sheri, I know I am glad that I do not have to come up with ideas for "the Elf"

I am still waiting.....

Yikes tornadoes...keep safe.

It is storming outside, they cancelled school ahead to prepare for it...we are supposed to get over a foot of the white stuff. It's the wet, sticky...you know your gonna lose power kind of day.

a foot of snow..that is about 11 inches too too much to my notion....

Well, my delivery came===at 3pm....I could have gotten my errands done, & been home before the delivery--and to top it all off, the Fed-Ex guy dropped the box on the end of the porch & left...I did not even need to be here...

Supper will be leftovers. However I am turning the chicken into BBQ chicken...I hope the Lemon flavor does not over-power the meat flavor.

The lemon just will add a touch of zest to the BBQ, Carol. It should be good.
A foot of snow is a full foot too much in my opinion. Keep safe, Sunny.
I would love to be able to dictate package arrival times, Carol.
I think a wee nap is called for.

Thanks for the reinforcement comment on the lemon BBQ Tina...

Well wherever Rod ordered his stuff from, e-mailed Rod & said they would deliver today, sometime before the end of the business day, and that "someone" would have to sign for said package...HE was at work, so I got elected to be here to sign.
well it came at 3 pm but the guy tossed it onto the corner of our porch and he left....I am thinking that my signature on the places form, looks a LOT like the Fed-Ex truck driver's...LOL
