Plans, yes.....I am going grocery shopping...LOL (yea I know that is not the type of plans you were referring to, but hey, those are the plans I have......) Here is a photo of my Daddy, who is now in Heaven. Hello all. Good to see dodge. Hope she can stay logged in. I have that same problem on another forum so I can feel her aggravation. After a while you just give up.
We are in desperate need of rain. 18 fires in the mountains.
As far as plans today, I was off work today but didn't do anything. Johnny worked a little bit. We ate dinner at Panera Bread. Are those nation wide?
Yesterday I went on a field trip with the 3rd grade at Aubry's school. It was an all day walking tour. Weather was beautiful and we had a blast.
Is powder puff a southern thing then because I went to 11th and 12th grade in NC and we played powder puff and both my girls did in high school.

Panera is in Illinois also..but some are called St. Louis Bread Company. Same place though....
I am close to going to sleep.....Rod thinks we need to go to Cabela's tomorrow. It seems they sent him "2" coupons.....

Hi all, GG had a Remembrance Day celebration at school on Thursday...we watched the ceremonies on TV yesterday as well. Grandboy had a sleep over here as well. Today I have been busy cleaning and mopping. Sticky fingerprints are everywhere  Any chance of any of you wanting to go get some groceries for me?

I did go shopping...wish someone else would pay for it though . I picked up my X-mas baking supplies as well. Each year I bake less and less...people don't visit like they used to over the holidays anymore. Hoping your naps went well.

My nap went well..1-1/2 hours...it was glorious.
I too wish someone would pay for the food. I think I am goo don baking supplies, save a few items. And I am going to need to bake more than I usually do. I am going to have the Family Christmas party this year so I will need to provide food & snack stuffs...
We finally had dinner/supper. We were not hungry so we finally ate some left-over spaghetti that I had...I love not having to work on a Saturday..

Sounds as good as what I had for dinner tonight, cereal with a plum to go along. If I lived alone, I would probably have soup in a pot in the fridge that I would eat from when the mood struck me---or boil some noodles to eat with grated cheese & butter... or perhaps pop corn....but as it is, Rod likes his meals.....so I was lucky tonight. Yes, I am lucky to mostly have myself to feed. Teddy eats his own thing and Jonni fixes what she likes and washes her own dishes.

I hope to be able to see the super moon this week. It is supposed to be spectacular. I tend to miss them because I turn into a mindless person, dragging myself to bed in the evenings.

I go to bed early as well Tina.
GG and I just took apart and put away her trampoline...our yard is now Winter ready. I am hoping that tomorrow we get the Christmas lights up as well...they won't get plugged in until December but it is supposed to be a milder day tomorrow. I hate freezing my hands dealing with outdoor decor.

90*F......oh my how I envy you. Not that I necessarily like 90..but I know what we are headed for here (a bad winter is predicted) and I do not like that idea.
We will not put up any decorations until well after Thanksgiving here. any more we just have a nativity scene, so putting that out can wait. I would love to do more---but oh well....

70's...I am hoping for 30's today It was cloudy here last night but I hope some of you got to see the moon at least. I had to sign up on Ebay for DH to get a new flip phone, I hope it all goes well....I don't like online shopping. He broke his phone and needs a new one for work next week. We can't get flip phones here anymore.

Sunny--as far as paying online, I use pay pal credit on e-bay....it is wonderful. The seller gets their money from Pay Pal and then they send you a bill in the mail. so, no personal information there out on the internet. and unless you allow it to be otherwise, you have to sign in to pay pal each time you pay so no info there either.
I do not have a flip phone, BUT it is just a plain phone, so there are others options w/o getting a smart phone.

I should have used DD's paypal...never even thought of that.
DH's place of work is hard on phones so this time we ordered a 'rugged flip phone'...refurbished as well to save 75% of the cost.
I just got in from putting up Xmas lights...I am down to two sets so I just zigzag'd them into an ornamental crab tree. I really need new ones and that was the plan last year but every brand was on the recall list. Hoping to get some on sale at the end of the season for next year.
GG and I are going 'tipping' in a few to get branches to make our wreath.

I got back from shopping this morning and found a couple of stray dogs visiting. A male and a female, full grown dobies. They weren't shy at all but neither were they overly friendly. I had a hard time keeping Teddy out of their faces. They are probably visiting the neighbors. My excitement for the day.

Glad you were able to keep Teddy away form the Dobermans. I went to ceramics.....and I changed over closets for Rod & I. That is a job as I have to go up & down the basement stairs....a LOT.

Good Morning! I have been up since a bit before 6 am. I have bene having thigh & leg cramps. I think they are as a result of my statin use.....and it is not a good feeling...
but all that aside...it is supposed to be a beautiful day today.....I hope all that have the same type of day enjoy it to it's fullest !!

Tomorrow I plan to go out & clear off my flower beds....and pick some sage to dry for the winter. It is supposed to get up to like 79 or 80*F here tomorrow, so it will be the last day for me to get that job done.... Sweet Dreams to you all.

We get our rain tomorrow..and then cooler temps. I am liking this internet shopping. My DD on the east coast just messaged me that she can order what Rod wanted to get the boys for Christmas with her Prime and gets us a better deal & free shipping...YAY for me...one more thing done...and it is not Thanksgiving yet...

No cooler temps for us 67°. Aubry and I are going to see the Nutcracker tomorrow night. We'll have a good time. I haven't started Christmas shopping. Colt is the only grand child who knows what he wants and he wants everything. The other ones are out of the toy stage and already have everything. Good grief.

IN that case (older grands) I would ask each for a list...that or buy them al tickets to something or another & then take them to eat then to whatever their wish place was. (just an idea). My oldest Grandchild (4 in September) showed me a paper of large metal vehicles--said he wasted one or 2 of the ones on the page, then promptly said "well I want them all" SMH" I guess I can not blame the boy for asking. It is not bed time but I will say goodnight now. Sweet Dreams.

Good Morning.  I have been up since 4:45 a.m.....  I have to stop this ..... Off to grocery shop soon for items to put in the boy scout bag & then one for the table at church....After that we shall see what the day has in store..

I will have to go out tomorrow. I don't care for going to the grocery store on a regular Saturday. But I'm sure that the Saturday before Thanksgiving will be doubly hectic.

Yes, I bet so. Today even as early as I went, the grocery was WAY busy & way stocked....much more to buy than usual..it was great--busy but great.
I got the items I will need to make a cake & a pie so Rod & I will have some dessert at home. I will not be buying anything else unless I am out of it for the next 2 weeks...
The oven is heating up for Supper now....baked chicken legs that I will put BBQ sauce on. I have left over Spanish rice to go with, and I will find a veggie as well.

Aubry and I went to a ballet tonight and it was great. She's a fun girl. She's getting some type of Fuji camera for her birthday next month and wants film for Christmas and the film is so cheap I can get her enough to last a long time.
77° and no rain in sight. We're in serious trouble.

Good Morning. I am glad that you had a good time with Aubry, Sheri. Those times are special. Tina...I hope your outing goes well, I do not envy you. I will hope that an early day will make it easier. I am currently trying to talk myself into cleaning my DD Valarie's room here. It is more a question of getting rid of things to give her more room than anything, which is why I have to talk myself into it.. I had Rod put my 4th Grandson's framed photo on the wall today. So now I will wait for my DD to give me photos of the girls and they will get hung on another wall, I cannot wait.

Hi all. Sheri, Aubry must love those special outings you plan for her...great memories to share as she gets older. I wish I could send some wet weather to all of you...it has been raining and sleeting here all week. It sure makes for a mess out there. Tina, best to get out before the Thanksgiving/Black Friday rush starts. At the rate that the grands are arriving....someone might need to build more walls for Junie to hang all those pics Not much going on here today, GG and I made a brown sugar pie for Grampie. Still debating on what to cook for supper.

Sunny, Both girls "say" I am done getting grandchildren.....well the oldest says that. My youngest's DH says they are done, then he also says in about 18 moths he thinks Emily will want another baby. . That child just LOVES babies.....who would have thought.
Sunny commenting on supper made me realize......I need to cook some ground beef for tonight's supper (Taco Crunch) and it is all frozen solid...I guess I should go get some out of the freezer, huh???

Supper is done & cleaned up, bath is taken & more clothes are washed. Tina, sorry I forgot to say. The day after I had my bad cramps, was a scary day, as the pain was better but far from gone---but now a few days down the road, the pain is all but gone. So, YAY for me !! I hope she gets better soon also. I could have used her help today with getting ready for the rain. But she's still off-color so it wasn't good timing. I got done what I could and we'll have to see how it holds up.

Good morning. I hope Jonni feels better this morning and that you get out to get your errands completed, Tina. Junie, my grandmother used to say that her statin medication was horrible on her legs...I hope it improves for you. DH started back to work this morning, full time for the Winter....and GG is off to school. I am going to enjoy some quietness Last November we got GG a piggy bank that needs to be opened with a can opener...then you throw away the can. We gave her all our nickles and dimes(remember we have no pennies here anymore). We opened it last night so she could roll it, it is going to be her Xmas money for buying gifts for people. We were shocked to see that there was over $70 in it. She was so excited....we are going to make it an annual thing. The metal banks are only $2 at the dollar store...the next one is already waiting to be filled.

Good going on the back Sunflower. I need to suggest this to Ginger for Colt.
I think I'm going to end up either quitting or getting quit from my job again. This afternoon I got a call from my supervisors supervisor telling me I need to come in to be fit tested for a mask to wear in the building. At first I was so surprised I asked if the mask person is going to meet me somewhere to fit me and she said I'd have to come into the building. I told her I'm not coming into the building so she told me to call the lady and set things up with her. After I hung up it dawned on me that I'm not wearing a mask all day. How will I talk to my clients on the phone? What if I want to take a drink of something? What if a mold spore gets inside the mask? So many questions but mainly I'm not wearing a mask all day. So we shall see. The ball is in their court. It is not a necessity that I be in that building for my job to be done correctly. It's called controlling.

It has definitely been a strange November. Yesterday I ate a tomato that came from my garden and have more. The squash got murdered last night so I imagine the tomatoes will be next. This gardening without bugs is great. I'm amazed that anything is growing since we haven't had rain since the hurricane. I put out my first Christmas decoration last night. We are staying home for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. I'm not sure I know how to act.

I finally got my store run in! It has been a week since my last one. And the store wasn't crazy busy. But I did forget to get more cash before I left so I was somewhat limited to under $80. I do have my bank cards on me though. But I stayed under.
I am staying home for the holidays also. But that's the way I like it.

I am fine, Tina. I had to take my DH's truck in to get the oil changed & stuff. Then it was Tuesday, so ceramics. When I got home I had work to do, so I did finaly get in .

Good morning. I have been up early once again. This morning it was because I was thinking of my youngest DD not having someone to watch her boys when she is at the wedding that is happening on New Years Eve. (Rod & I are going then watching the girls & their brother) So Rod & I are going to offer to watch all 7 of them...  Not as daunting as it sounds..the 4 little ones should be sleeping for the mist part. more cleaning to be done today......

Good morning. Yes, that is a lot of babies! You are going to have a lot of fun, Carol. Do you have plans for tomorrow? I do not plan on making a huge meal. I have food I've cooked and things. My kids and I are thankful for what we have on a daily basis. They are not big on thanksgiving food. But we all enjoyed the pie I cooked yesterday. And the sweet potatoes we will have. I'm figuring with a london broil. My kids are anti turkey and ham. I hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks ladies..I hope it all works out. Tomorrow Rod & I are going to a restaurant to eat with my sister & her husband & his sister. They serve family style food & their food is good so it will be a good meal. I will make 2 desserts for at home, so Rod & I will not be coming back to nothing to "snack" on. The meal should be what make the people involved happy--it sounds to me as if all of you will be happy.  Most of my family will be getting together on Saturday. it is usually Italian food that is served..but this year we are having baked chicken, soup & whatever the rest of us bring as sides. I was going to bring a potato casserole but I will be bringing a fancy mashed potato dish that I can keep warm in a slow cooker. I am going back to cleaning...TTYAL

Have fun tomorrow, Sheri. My DD put up her tree last weekend. She did so b/c she is coming home this weekend & then next weekend they are busy, so she did it last weekend to get it out of the way. I am hoping to put my tree up on Sunday. Thing is I do not know if I am going to put up my 6 ft tree or my 3 ft tree.

I chose no tree again this year. It frees me to do what I really love to do. Spend time with my family and help others. Plus, I'm not sure it I could handle a tree this year.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you...we have ours in October in Canada. I think pot luck meals are the best for holidays..mind you so is the fact of not having to cook at all I ran errands for DH yesterday...seems the flip phone he ordered does not work here. I am returning it today and he is on his own for finding another one. It was so frustrating running back and forth to different phone carriers all afternoon with no success. I plan to do not much of anything today...I feel a little under the weather.

WE always have pot lucks in my family. The person hosting has the main course & often the potatoes....everything else is brought in. Our Hosts MAY make something else.... Eating out today. Our Thanksgiving will be at my nieces on Saturday. I am taking crusty bread & a dip with veggies & chips to it. BUT my Niece, along with her family, will have all of us, her Mom & Dad, her brother & his family..and possibly my cousin & her DD & BF& my brother, his partner, my brother's DD, possibly her BF & we are hoping also my brother's son who is in the Military so the 4 of us adults, 4 children....Rod & I, Val & Brian & their 4 kids ...........2 adults, 2 girls (niece & fam).......................................................................................................15 - 19 adults ...........2 sister & her DH......................................................................................................................7 kids, but only 4 of them will eat ...........2 adults & 1--2 yr old girl...... sister's son's family ...........2 adults(brother & partner) & 24 yr old niece & 26-27 yr old nephew (brother's family) & possibly my niece's BF ...........1 my Mom ...........2-4 adults--possibly my cousin & family

I am going out this morning. Not black Friday stuff but to Home Depot for a couple of things. I don't think they participate in black Friday stuff anyway. If they do. I'll just turn around and come home.

Good Morning.
I would LOVE to participate in the Back Friday deals...The crowds are not an issue to me, but the traffic is, so I stayed in & slept until 7:30.
I do have to go out and buy groceries..and possibly stop at the Pharmacy to check on a Hallmark ornament....but that is my extent of shopping.
That will start next week,

Johnny and I had a good day yesterday. The movie was great. Today we went shopping and bought Johnny 2 suits. We went around 1:00 and the crowd wasn't that bad.

Hi all. Sheri, I hope you got a great deal on the suits....did you make it to the depot store as well Tina? It snowed through the night...the big flaked sticky snow. It looks so pretty outside. Mind you, it won't look so pretty to me in another month or so.

Good morning. I am sure the snow looks lovely, Sunny. I am glad I don't see any here. It is cool and will snow in the mountains above me but it can stay there.
No, Sunny. I ended up not going out yesterday. I stayed in and will again. I might go up on the roof and clean my gutters before the rains hit, though.

The store said we got a good deal but I think it was a jacked up price so they could say they were giving us a discount.
I like the snow but our power always goes out when it snows and then I don't like it so much :)

Tina, staying in is a good thing....I am sorry you have to clean out your gutters though..that is a job indeed.
I am soon to go get cleaned up for the day & then I will begin to get my food ready for the party. I am only taking the crusty bread for the soup that is to be served and some dips & veggies & chips--but I still have to clean my veggies.
Val did not come last night-----she will get here at some point today before the party. But then, that gives me time to get more in the hose done.

We are home from the party and the littles are snug in their beds. Grandma should soon go to bed as well. Now, if she were only tired.....

Hi all. Tina, we can always find something to do when it comes to looking after a family. It's a bonus though if we like what we have to do It has been a lazy day...as soon as my early supper is cooked, we will head out to visit grandboy for a bit.
