Good morning. I have been up early once again.

This morning it was because I was thinking of my youngest DD not having someone to watch her boys when she is at the wedding that is happening on New Years Eve. (Rod & I are going then watching the girls & their brother) So Rod & I are going to offer to watch all 7 of them...

Not as daunting as it sounds..the 4 little ones should be sleeping for the mist part.

more cleaning to be done today......

That's a lot of grands all at once...it should be fun though.

Do you have plans for tomorrow?
I do not plan on making a huge meal. I have food I've cooked and things. My kids and I are thankful for what we have on a daily basis. They are not big on thanksgiving food. But we all enjoyed the pie I cooked yesterday. And the sweet potatoes we will have. I'm figuring with a london broil. My kids are anti turkey and ham.

Tomorrow Rod & I are going to a restaurant to eat with my sister & her husband & his sister. They serve family style food & their food is good so it will be a good meal. I will make 2 desserts for at home, so Rod & I will not be coming back to nothing to "snack" on.

The meal should be what make the people involved happy--it sounds to me as if all of you will be happy.
Most of my family will be getting together on Saturday. it is usually Italian food that is served..but this year we are having baked chicken, soup & whatever the rest of us bring as sides. I was going to bring a potato casserole but I will be bringing a fancy mashed potato dish that I can keep warm in a slow cooker.

I am going back to cleaning...TTYAL

I've been outside picking up pecans. We're going to the movie tomorrow and maybe shopping for Johnny a suit if the store he wants to go to is open. Other than that....nothing....so nice. Might put up the Christmas tree.

My DD put up her tree last weekend. She did so b/c she is coming home this weekend & then next weekend they are busy, so she did it last weekend to get it out of the way.

I am hoping to put my tree up on Sunday. Thing is I do not know if I am going to put up my 6 ft tree or my 3 ft tree.

I chose no tree again this year. It frees me to do what I really love to do. Spend time with my family and help others. Plus, I'm not sure it I could handle a tree this year.

I think pot luck meals are the best for holidays..mind you so is the fact of not having to cook at all

I ran errands for DH yesterday...seems the flip phone he ordered does not work here. I am returning it today and he is on his own for finding another one. It was so frustrating running back and forth to different phone carriers all afternoon with no success.

I plan to do not much of anything today...I feel a little under the weather.

WE always have pot lucks in my family. The person hosting has the main course & often the potatoes....everything else is brought in. Our Hosts MAY make something else....

Eating out today. Our Thanksgiving will be at my nieces on Saturday. I am taking crusty bread & a dip with veggies & chips to it.

Sunny, from now on, you need to let u s know exactly when your Thanksgiving is so we know.

I am back home and in my jammies. Another Thanksgiving in the books...however I will be with my family on the 26th to celebrate it properly.

Well, only my DD, Valarie & her family will be here. BUT my Niece, along with her family, will have all of us, her Mom & Dad, her brother & his family..and possibly my cousin & her DD & BF& my brother, his partner, my brother's DD, possibly her BF & we are hoping also my brother's son who is in the Military

so the 4 of us adults, 4 children....Rod & I, Val & Brian & their 4 kids
...........2 adults, 2 girls (niece & fam).......................................................................................................15 - 19 adults
...........2 sister & her DH......................................................................................................................7 kids, but only 4 of them will eat
...........2 adults & 1--2 yr old girl...... sister's son's family
...........2 adults(brother & partner) & 24 yr old niece & 26-27 yr old nephew (brother's family) & possibly my niece's BF
...........1 my Mom
...........2-4 adults--possibly my cousin & family

Sounds like a good crowd for a celebration Junie.

GG and I started decorating inside yesterday for Xmas...she was so excited. I'm wondering if any of you are brave enough to fight the crowds today for Black Friday?

I am going out this morning. Not black Friday stuff but to Home Depot for a couple of things. I don't think they participate in black Friday stuff anyway. If they do. I'll just turn around and come home.

I would LOVE to participate in the Back Friday deals...The crowds are not an issue to me, but the traffic is, so I stayed in & slept until 7:30.

I do have to go out and buy groceries..and possibly stop at the Pharmacy to check on a Hallmark ornament....but that is my extent of shopping.

Johnny and I had a good day yesterday. The movie was great. Today we went shopping and bought Johnny 2 suits. We went around 1:00 and the crowd wasn't that bad.

It snowed through the night...the big flaked sticky snow. It looks so pretty outside. Mind you, it won't look so pretty to me in another month or so.

No, Sunny. I ended up not going out yesterday. I stayed in and will again. I might go up on the roof and clean my gutters before the rains hit, though.

The store said we got a good deal but I think it was a jacked up price so they could say they were giving us a discount.

I like the snow but our power always goes out when it snows and then I don't like it so much :)

Tina, staying in is a good thing....I am sorry you have to clean out your gutters though..that is a job indeed.

I am soon to go get cleaned up for the day & then I will begin to get my food ready for the party. I am only taking the crusty bread for the soup that is to be served and some dips & veggies & chips--but I still have to clean my veggies.

Val did not come last night-----she will get here at some point today before the party. But then, that gives me time to get more in the hose done.

It has been a lazy day...as soon as my early supper is cooked, we will head out to visit grandboy for a bit.
