Carol how long did the trip take? I can't imagine driving straight through. I only do bathroom breaks going to Ginger's but it's not nearly 800 miles.

Hi all.

Halloween went well, we had over 40 kids this year...and I took the grands to 10 houses. It was cold and rainy but it seems that way for every Halloween the past few years.

That's great Sunny that you had 40 trick or treaters. I miss that living out here on a highway where no one dares come for fear of being run over by an 18 wheeler. My grand children come but that's it. It was 84° here :)

That is good, 40 trick-or-treaters. The rain, not so much.
I did get out today. I collected my mail and went to one store. I was done in. Jonni went out tonight to pick up a few necessities for us. I'll go out and get some things tomorrow. And tonight I have bills to pay before bedtime. But I can do that easily and put them in the mail tomorrow.

Sheri--I am so happy your cactus is blooming...the when is not an issue to me now a days--that they do is the thing to me...(mine do not hardly ever & if they do it is like 1 bloom.)

it is was 85*F yesterday. I missed the weather this morning, but it is warm and sunny.

I am going to see my Mom again today and then run some errands for Emily--as she sent things home with me to do here at home for her.

I ran errands with DH yesterday..he needed me to go help. I got treated to a lunch at a fish'n'chip place...it was nice.

Sunny, why yes I DID make it to ceramics. Since Rod drove straight thru, I decided I was going--never mind that he would have liked me to stay home as he was there....
It was fabulous..we laughed & laughed....it is good to be back.

Today I have more errands to run...SMH

It's going to be a lovely, hot day today. I am going out to take care of some business today.

Sunny, my cactus is red. Dodge sent it to me years ago and it's bloomed every year I think. She sent me another one a few years back and the entire thing died. Maybe it was diseased or in the mailroom too long.

I used to do ceramics and loved it. Was a fun group.

What a good day I have had so far. I got my trash to the dumpster and went to two banks. I stopped at the grocery store and came home and put that away. I've collected another bag of trash to take to the dumpster And a bunch of little stuff around here.
It's been awhile since I've felt well enough to get things done with any consistency. I hope it sticks around.

I am tired tonight. I think I will watch the New Big Bang Theory & then I may go to bed early tonight...we shall see.

I have been up since 4:30 am...I just can't sleep. It'll be a long day.

I need to finish stacking firewood today...if the weather cooperates.

I hate days like that, Sunny. That is one reason why I stay up so late...if I do not I wake in the middle of the night and cannot go back to sleep. Starting your day when it is dark out if just NOT a good or even nice thing !

Today I woke at 7 am, it was dark, cool and quiet, but I could not go back to sleep. So I got up.
BUT please do not misunderstand, 7 a.m. is not early, it was just the perfest situation to be able to go back to sleep for longer.
However my body was done sleeping for today.

MORE errands to be done today.

I just spent a GOOD hour trying to order photos from Shutterfly..and to top it all off I downloaded something to help me download photos..do YOU know where that went b/c I do not... Now I know why so many people do NOT use Shuttterfly. Good news is my photos are ordered now.

Carol Colt's classroom teachers post their pictures on Shutterfly and I have a hard time dealing with that site too. We're supposed to be able to make albums or order the pictures but my albums always come out with the pictures sideways. I've looked online and a lot of people have the same issues. I think Shutterfly has lots of issues.

Good Morning. I have bene up since 5 a.m. I can hardly wait for Rod to retire, so he can wake me 7 days a week...

Sad to hear you say that about Shutterfly, I was hoping it was me...LOL

I use it with my Grands..they post photos online for me and of course G'ma wants to print them--well, the main way I an do that form my computer is Shutterfly..I guess I need to look around for another photo site.

Good morning..you sound much like your old self, Tina--that is good to hear/read.

I have washed dishes & cleaned my stove so far--then I moved all of my photo albums, at Rod's request. Then I washed my hair.

After lunch I will begin to start cleaning out my spare bedroom, it seems to be a catch-all & it should not be that way.

I didn't leave the house today. Well I did sit on the screened porch. Does that count? I just piddled around here and it was great. I am a homebody. If Ginger lived closer I would never go anywhere.

I never did get to cleaning my spare bedroom...the living room is cleared of my photo albums though.......but after all, I thought Saturdays were for relaxing, I hope I am right.....

I need to go to bed soon...

Yea, I need to ask my DH about that--ours are wired into the electrical system of the house--but I have always wondered about power outages---I assume there is a battery back up (?) but in the 12 years we have lived here, I have not seen any batteries being changed.

It has been snowing off and on the past few days...the pretty kind that melts when it hits the ground

Yesterday GG and I went to a Fall/X-mas craft fair...it was nice. I bought each of us a handmade pair of mittens and a hat as well for Grandboy. GG bought a handmade doll cradle with money she saved. The work that people do and how cheap they can sell it for amazes me. Then we stopped at a second hand Christmas decor sale for the church..we got a card holder and a glass block(that looks like a lighted present when plugged in). We topped off the day with a visit with Grandboy. It was a fun day.

Today it is back to the 'real world'..so far we made banana muffins, a coconut cream pie and the bread is rising. Laundry is going as well.

I hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour of sleep.
