Tina, Carol had family visiting and she was making the meal for them...she had a busy day ahead of her yesterday.

We had had a bad storm last night...a few places flooded. I am so glad we built on higher ground with no basement.

Today GG and I have a b-day part to attend. My God-daughter's baby turns 2...it should be fun. Then I have to come home to mow the lawn then head to a surprise party for our nephew who eloped. They are visiting from another province...so my SIL is having a small family gathering at her house for him and his new wife.

Hoping your day isn't as busy as mine.

Ah, I didn't get the word of Carol's happenings. I hope she manages to have fun with her visitors. And thank you for letting me know.

Sorry ladies, I thought sure I came back in & said goodnight. In my mind I had done so.

It was only my niece that was coming. She works for Boeing in Seattle, WA and once a year or so she has classes at the headquarters in St. Louis.
So, on her last day she stays around to visit with her grandmother and then sometimes stops by to see us. Rod did not want to go out to eat, so I had to (well, I felt like I had to) extra clean my house and then cook a nicer meal for her....I cheated & just made a cake & mashed potatoes to add to a company take out meal that is offered at a local restaurant.

I also finished packing the clothes I had for Valarie & took them to be mailed to her....

Today I plan on not doing much. I will re-clean the kitchen, and fix meals, but other than that I so not plan on doing much.

I finally got my shopping done. I need to make a list for staying in next weekend. Have everything and not run out of anything. Because I'm not going out.
Today I bought a london broil. Sliced thin it will make some awesome sandwiches this week. And a stir fry. I've got that cooking now.

I just got back from Wal-mart. I had some things to pick up so I thought to get some photos developed.

Last time I got photos they were 9 cents each. Today they were 29 cents each.
BUT then when I went to pick them up, they were 15 cents each b/c I had 100 made. I will most likely never go to Wal-mart again for photos unless I am on a deadline. I can order them online from Shutterfly for 9 cents each, and not leave my house.
You live, you learn.

Good morning. It is an unusual, cool August morning. I am thoroughly enjoying the coolness. Quietly planning my day. It is time for clean sheets so I will work on that today. Maybe trim some hair too. A beef stir-fry is for dinner tonight. Anything else that gets done is a bonus.

I turned off the computer & unplugged it last night after I came in as the thundering got more intense. Then around 9 it just stopped. I was extra tired, so I went to sleep. Strange thing was I stayed asleep until 7:30 this morning.

We will go to church, and then go to visit my MIL. After that I am not sure what is on the agenda. We shall see.

We finally got a little rain last night without the lightening and thunder. It was nice. Wish it would happen again.

Was great to see G-mom post. Sorry it had to be about JV.

So glad that G-Mom came in---I will have to go search that out, as so far I have missed that. Thanks for commenting, Sheri.

You got rain, that is great---We did not--after all the build up we did not even get sprinkles.

Today we went to a Rural King. I needed some thistle. They were having a sale, so I also picked up some suet cakes for this winter.

The rest of today I am going to spend going thru picture albums. Apparently, my youngest DD went thru & took what she wanted.... do not mind, she could have had the whole album, but it would have n=been nice if she had of asked me. (her wanting them would have made me smile)

Good morning. We had our cool and we are headed back into summer now. I liked it better with the cool. Every year I get pickier.
I don't have plans for today yet. I must think of something to top my list to accomplish. Decisions, decisions.

My time stamp is all messed up again.

I've been out in the garden this morning and it's a little bit cooler. I'm sitting here eating a cucumber. Cucumbers will be what I miss the most. Wish I could find a way to grow them all year.

Tina, I do not know what I am going to do with my day either. I have several things to accomplish, I am just not in a big hurry to do them. So far today, I did get some photos in the mail, & then I managed to get my front porch flower pots watered & my one small flower bed weeded.

I also got all of my photos organized & put in albums. I did find some really old ones...thing is they maybe doubles, as where I got my photos developed used to give out free doubles.
I wish I would remember things better than I do. but oh well. It is my fault not for doing whatever with them back when I got them developed.

It is cool this morning. I wish I had of found that out earlier. I should have gone out back to weed say around 6 or 7 am.

Decided laundry was the most important thing on my list. So that's what I've been working on.

Good Afternoon. I was going at a good clip, until I ate lunch. The combination of the food and the sitting quietly while I ate must have done me in. I need a nap & it is far too late for one now.

Good night. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I ended up not feeling well today and not getting much done. I'm going to bed in a short while and hoping for a better day.

I do not blame you, Tina. I think this weekend is a good time to stay off of the roads. When the kids were small, the labor Day weekend was the only time we had 4 days in the same spot to take the kids on vacation. I would pray the whole 4 days until we were home. Thankfully, nothing ever happened while out on that weekend, but I agree it is a good weekend to stay very close to home.

am doing a bit of grocery shopping (I long for the old days of grocery delivery) and then have to scrub mold off of a few places on my deck. I plan on painting the whole deck this Friday & Saturday. It is long over-due.

I've been totally lazy today. Still sitting her in my pajamas. I need to wash my hair and clean up a little but I just don't want to get out of this chair. Just read up and found out that this is Labor Day weekend. Guess I better go to the grocery store before it gets crowded. Don't wanna go.

yes..I just got dressed and I need to wash my hair too. But, just brushed it back and am ready to leave--I will wash it tonight.

It is not just Labor Day weekend here. There are 3 days of concerts and camping up the road at the pavilion. Well, the camping is right across the road from me, the concert up the road. I do not go anywhere when there is an event. I sit tight and people watch.

I am home form shopping. I bought a Kidz travel bed. it is the size of a crib mattress and has sides like a small inflatable children's swimming pool. And if you would like, you can remove the mattress insert & then have 2 beds. I got it as an addition to beds at Grandma's house.

Now I have a small break until it is time to begin preparing supper.

It sounds cute, Carol. Do you have enough beds for triplets+?

well, I have:

a crib.
a pack n play
this inflatable kidz Travel bed.

My sister has an extra crib mattress I could borrow and a portable crib I could borrow. I think/hope that I am good for 3 girls and their brother.

My DH's Aunt passed away so we have been busy with family who have come home for the services...she was a very sickly person, her passing now has her at peace. We take comfort in that.

Tina, the cleaning and painting was not nearly completed but we had no choice but to move her when we did....it was the only day that the 26 ft moving truck was available. I will go today and tomorrow to help with a few things...the baby is sick with fevers also, there is a virus going around. It will take a month or so to get the house where it should be.

Yay for the baby bed purchase Junie...I wish they sold such items here.

Good morning. I am sorry for your aunt's passing, Sunny. Glad she is at peace now. I am also glad your daughter is in her new home, if not settled yet. Poor baby. I hope he recovers quickly.
Today is the first of September. That means I have some banking and shopping to do. Tomorrow the campers move in for the concert. And I won't fight for road space with them. I want to have plenty of fresh food on hand.

September 1st---Oh my Tina--where did the summer go??? I hope that you are able to get out & get your errands done.

I did some grocery shopping yesterday. I think that will hold me for a week or so. I think I am getting sick..I think all I will do today is scrub the deck to get the mild off. Then if I am not sick tomorrow I intend to begin staining the deck, as it will be in the high 70's to low 80's the next few days.

I just dropped off bean pods at my Uncle's and he gave me a half gallon of freshly picked blueberries. I am going to freeze them for muffins in Winter.

I hope you got your errands completed Tina.
