Thanks, Tina. The storm only lasted like 10 minutes.

Good morning.
I will be going out today. I know I've talked about it all week but have not. But the bread situation is critical and I don't want to fire up an oven. So out I go.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Yes, I also need to go out...I am short of items for Rod's lunch.

.I looked at my rain gauge today & in that short time, we got 1 inch of rain...so glad that it did not rain longer....

But now all of my outside plants (potted ones too) are watered, and I have a lot of water for my inside pots....YAY for me.

Still drinking coffee here..and washing clothes....

Good afternoon.

Today I am hiding from the heat...the chores can wait. I have more painting to do in the next two days outdoors.

The good news is that my garden is starting to grow a bit...I have green tomatoes starting on the cherry tomato plants.

I should throw a load in the washer...
I am home after $240 worth of shopping. To be honest the last $40 was some booze for future gifting. I collect a little all year long and have a blow out Christmas. Or at least that's the plan. I have quite a stockpile because I haven't done Christmas beyond my immediate family for a few years.
Off to find something else to get into.

Have a cool day indoors, Sunny. The work can wait until the temps agree.

Tina...I too have begun Christmas shopping. I like to, I find it fun and it is easier on the pocket book that way.

I so need to go to do some shopping myself. I wish I had of known I needed these items yesterday when I was out shopping....but oh well, I will get to doing it soon.

Our power went out a couple hours ago. It got mighty hot quickly in here. I'm glad it came back on. I guess about 1500 people were affected.I'm glad it came back.

So g;ad that your power came back on quickly, Tina. This is the wrong time of year to lose power for sure.

I too am headed to bed. I am very tired and welcome the rest.

Good morning.

I hate when the power goes out...and it seems to be a recurring thing here. I hope you have no future troubles anytime soon Tina.

We had some nasty storms through the night and more planned for later today.

I have to take my daughter to check out a house that she might be moving to in a bit, the kids are going to love having a yard if she does take it. There is no place to play at her present apartment building.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. Hope the house works out for your DD. A yard and kids is a lovely thing. Keep safe in your storms.
I have no plans for this day. I am still recovering from my shopping yesterday. Or the power outage or something. I will stay in and keep my cool.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Take care, Tina...and do not over-heat...you know, sometimes we just need to do nothing & take care of ourselves..

Sunny. I too hope that the house works for your DD. I agree with Tina, a yard is wonderful for kids, so they can play.
Stay safe in the storms. I am hoping that the forecast is greatly exaggerated.

I too wish everyone a great day.

back from getting my hair cut--well trimmed up really, but at east all the dead ends are gone.

First, the weather forecaster said it was going to rain this afternoon. Then this evening the same forecaster said it was going to rain later in the evening. Well, it is 9:38 pm here & no rain yet---not that I mind the no rain thing.

Very tired here---I think I will make Rod's lunch & then go to sleep.

Sweet Dreams.

Well I awoke to see that a few keYs oN my keyboard won't work all the time...but they do if I use caps. It seems it is a hit or miss to get the Y or N to work.

Health Canada has issued an advisory to us...it seems that Borax will soon be of the market here. It has been a controversial cleaner for years.

I took my DD to view the house, it is in o.k. shape but I am not impressed how we have to do the housecleaning(it is extremely dirty) and then paint ourselves if we want with our own paint. Of course they said the budget was busted as it was. I told my DD to tell them she wouldn't take it but she got scared that her bluff wouldn't work. So another full week of hard work will Be added to the list somewhere this August. She can buy the paint..I'm not.

I hope a good day is ahead...mine is child free, I'll be out on a ladder painting away. thumbup

Good morning. Musical electricity around here. Sometimes I have it, sometimes not. I hope that gets that fixed soon.
I will do nothing today. Sleeping through stuff was tricky. And Teddy was sick. So a restful day is called for.
The house sounds good to me. I hope she can keep it along time at very reasonable rates and her little family can grow in it.

Glad that your electricity did not do a repeat performance today, Tina.

I just finished sending Valarie addresses so she could finish her Thank You post cards for the girls. The internet is a wonderful thing, I must say.

I too am headed to bed. Sweet Dreams everyone.

Good morning. I slept well so today will be a good day. The humidity is up and that means my swamp cooler doesn't work as well. These are the days I consider popping a window unit a/c in and never do. I just stay still and try not to melt. So that is my plan.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Yes, I echo what Tina said.

Rod just finished installing a new switch to our icemaker. IT is working now, but I am waiting for it to cool down so I can add some ice to use until ours is back up to full capacity. It is summer after all.

Looks like it might rain---I hope it does, as Rod thinks he is going to cut grass this evening...you know the man who ran 100.6 last night and had chills.....

DH did not cut the grass...he had a 101.5.

Val sent me photos of Henry running in the water at the edge of the beach..and a 20 second video--I cried for happy.
Today is her anniversary...I think the 5th one...Henry is 2-1/2, the girls are 5 months. Brian's whole family goes on vacation together---they are all lucky people....

I got to see a few fireworks tonight. The neighbors to the south of our yard, (or the neighbors across the street from them) were shooting off fireworks tonight...I saw a few from my back deck. It was grand...but I came in as there were too many mosquitoes.

I received a book today that I got with an Amazon gift card, for my birthday, from my Brother & his family. It will be fun to read myself to sleep tonight. Goodnight, sleep tight. Sweet Dreams everyone. wavy

No, no church..Rod tried to guilt me into going but I did not.

Yes, he is still sick. I am hoping to get him to go to the Drs. tomorrow (if I can get him an appt.)

I actually cooked him a nice breakfast yesterday & today...I did it because he is not well & needs the protein.

I try not to cook breakfast too often for him because when he retires, he will think I can just hang around & cook 3 hot & new meals 3 times a day, & I am only 9 months younger than he is...I cook once a day now, & I will cook once a day then...I do not wish to begin cooking MORE in my old age...

I should do that (budget) if nothing else, to set aside money for big bills & then just make do with what I have left.

I am proud that you do that.

Sunny...not to worry about the onscreen keyboard...we will all happily be patient with you. We have all "been there". Good luck.

I was up until 1:30 last night, trying to figure out Webkinz these days. I finally went to bed.

As a result I slept until 10:30 this morning. I just got done cleaning the bathrooms, figuring out supper, getting the mail & starting laundry.

Ya wanna hear this??? You all have heard about PCH and winning $5,000 a week forever ?? well, They sent me a $10.00 check...not $5,000 but hey, it'll buy me lunch.....

it is overcast & I hope it will rain. I should have watered my flowers & tomatoes last night & I just could not make myself do that.

Off to read my mail now

Good going on your win, Carol.
I didn't even go out today. I got slugged in the gut today by something. I think it's over now.

Thanks, Tina. I was in the bathroom frequently this morning, but I am fine now....

Tonight, Rod cut grass..and he said would you sweep the porch & garage apron for me..
Well, I am who always does the sweeping, so of course I said yes.
Then I watered everything and weeded my big flower bed and then began to weed the mulched area close to the back of the house.
My surprise lilies are coming up & I could see they were being chocked out by the weeds. So now that area is weeded. I will do more next time. My back yard area may look like I care for it yet..LOL

Off to take a bath now--gotta get ready for ceramics tomorrow.

$10.00 is way better than no dollars which is what I got.

We finally got rain. We've been dry and blazing hot for a while.

Yes, I agree, Sheri. $10.00 is better than nothing. I am glad that you got some rain. I am hoping I do as well.

Well, I took my bath & then made some cookies for Rod. I think I shall go read until they are cool enough to put away.

Going to ceramics tomorrow..see you all sometime tomorrow. sweet dreams
