Our back step broke and we had them redone. I'm going to try and find the correct forum to post the pictures.

I'm not sure there is a correct forum for that, Sheri. But I'd love to see them.

We went out to a free day put on by whomever today, in a huge air-conditioned gym with side rooms also, and the kids had a grand time. There was even 2 bouncy houses.

Once again I am not tired, but I should be asleep.

I posted pictures in Our Member's Galleries and could see them when I previewed but now they're gone. I'm gonna find James and ask what to do.

The old porch and steps were built in 1937 out of cinder block. One of the blocks caved in a few weeks ago.



Never even thought about how bad it looked until we changed it.

I think you are right about Sunny, Sheri..when she is back we need to ask her where that was.

I was so busy with preparing for the baby's birthday and tired after that I never came back in to post. It went well even though only a few showed up(sad part is that my daughter attends everything she is invited to)...she said it is a lesson learned.

Today will be a laid back kind of day. There is too much going on out in the world right now to tempt me out in it. So it sounds like laundry and bedding changes and such.

I got a few things done today. Teddy's hair is cut and mine. And we have showered and bathed. We have clean bedding. So the day wasn't completely wasted.

I will be awaiting the photos, Sunny. I am sorry that more people did not show up but hey---I am sure the baby still had a wonderful time. After all his Mom, sister & Grammy were there, and there was cake, right ???

Have a great time out Tina...It sounds to me as if you got quite a lot done for a week day, never mind a Sunday...I think you deserve a day of rest/fun.

We went to Church today, then out to eat (McDonalds) & then home & then after the kids nap time we went to see Brian's step dad's parent's. Shirley decided they needed to see them.

I am not tired once again..this really needs to stop happening...LOL

Well, I found the pictures of your steps, Sheri. They are quite awesome. I don't think they are off center of the door too much. It looks like they are off center specifically to leave a person room to step without without being swept off by the door. Well done!
Thank you for the directions, Carol. I missed them altogether somehow.
Today I need to get a few things done. The laundry for one. And go pick up some groceries for another. Beyond that, I am not sure...

My DD that lives in Virginia just messaged me & asked that IF I was going to be in Cape, could she use ,my car that week, so that she & the boys would NOT have to drive Daddy to work all week.. Which tells me that they are going to be home.....
and "WHY" I ask didn't she tell me this last week ??? I could have arranged for Rod to come get me this weekend, so I could see her and the boys....SMH

I went out banking and shopping. I have everything I need for a hot week to hole up indoors. But I want to do more shopping for clothes and shoes and things. That will be another day.

Sunny, I DID tell me daughter to come here & get me. She said she would LOVE to come (she has not seen the girls) but that she will not drive the 2 boys in a car the time it takes to get her & back then soon put them in car to drive home. Her DH is working that week in his old place of employment, so he cannot watch the kids for her if she were to come.

So, I told her I wanted NOTICE the next time she was coming home..told her if I had of known I would have arranged to be home this coming weekend. Oh well, that is how she is.

I am happy for you, that you got what of the shed done that you did, Sunny. I am sure the roof will wait on you, so not to worry.

We are under an extreme heat advisory today....so I plan to do nothing

Good morning. I tried to come in earlier but my computer was lugging down. I decided it was time for a reboot and I guess it was beyond time because it took a couple of hours with updates and such.
We are a bit warm today also, Sunny. Keep safe.

Today I will go out and shop for a couple of things at Target. And maybe go next door to the shoe store and get Teddy and I fixed up.

I ended up staying home. It was already hot by the time the stores opened. I decided to wait for cooler weather. Slightly cooler, anyway.

we had a nice visit with my mom, sister & BIL today.

Now val has 2 of her 3 college friends here on a visit...so I left them alone so they could all visit w/o a "mom there.

Tina....sorry you did not get to go shopping, but I am sure there will be cooler weather soon.

I hope the both of us get our cooler weather Tina, I need to go for groceries as well. It reached 110*F here with humidity yesterday...my peel and stick flooring is lifting everywhere in the house with the heat.

We have been getting thunderstorms every single day lately...I hope we get a dry day soon, I need to mow the lawn. Funny how the weeds seem to grow faster than the garden.

I have laundry to do and such. I doubt I will go out for anything. Or maybe I will. I don't know yet. I will drink my coffee and see how I feel.

Well. I won't be going out today. I managed to order everything I wanted from Target. Now there is no hurry. Not that there was a rush for any of it. But so much of my life is backed up that I feel pressure on everything. Next up getting into my drawers and such to get rid of our raggedy clothing.
And lots of laundry. I send the things for charity clean.

Tina, Clean up that helps others is a great thing.

I mowed grass for a bit but it's too hot to finish...so I showered and went for that dreaded grocery run.

My daughter has begun my next grocery list.

110*F wow !! It has been in the 90's here, but would not know as rarely go out. They do have a outside thermometer on a window ledge though, so I know the temps. I do so hope that the weather calms down for you soon, Sunny.

If I cut grass, I would do it of the evening after 5 pm if it were me. Rod will not though as he doe snot have time to finish it all that way.
