Sweet dreams all. I am going to bed in a bit. It has cooled off enough to sleep without the cooler on.

I hope you can get the cooler out of the shed today Tina....time to call on a favor from someone.

GG is still here, every time we get extreme heat she gets a fever and sore throat. This is the third year that this has happened. I'll see how she feels today whether it needs a doctor's visit or not.

Another hot day ahead but I will take my couch and chairs outside and clean them with the Bissel machine, they'll dry nicely in the heat.

Good morning. I slept in for me. It was lovely. I have my cooler on already. It's going to be a tad warm today. I was going to wash and hang out my furniture covers today but they will wait. I'm not going out for much of anything. Even my mail will wait until tomorrow.
Sunny, I have my main cooler on the roof that is working well. I can use that. The ones that are broken are window units that help with the outlying areas of my house. They will wait for more moderate temps to be repaired or replaced. I wouldn't put my friends out in this heat for anything.

I miss all of you as well. Tina, I read that you are having HIGH temps. I am so very sorry. I heard on TV that there are wild fires out your way, (well in California) are they very close to you???

Brian thought I was coming for one week...They both said I should decide how long I was staying.
I told them both that I was there to help, not to be in the way or give them more work to do. So when they wanted me to go home, they should let me know & Rod would come & get me on the weekend. I am thinking if not before, I will be home by the end of July.

I will try to come on every evening late, around this time, if I can.

It was HOT yesterday...GG went home, then called that we need to go pick her up again. This virus is lingering with her.

Good morning. I'm up early. I turned off my cooler last night but turned it on again first thing. It warmed up inside during the night.
I am taking Teddy to school today although it's still to be over 100*. I need milk and bagels and things. So it's off to school for him and shopping for me.

I don't know how you can take that kind of heat Tina, it was 98* here yesterday and we were exhausted doing nothing.

The rain stopped and I went out to give my windows a quick wash....the dandelion dander stains the white frames if we don't keep on top of it.

Our heat is different than most of the rest of the country (ours and yours) most of the time. With no humidity to speak of the heat is much easier to take. And with a swamp cooler still better. The humidity outdoors right now is about 1% and inside is 60% and it feels nice. It also is easier to breathe with a swamp cooler than with central air conditioning. The only time a/c is better is when the humidity is up.

Ah, I understand.

I ended up having to take GG to the doctor today, 3 days of fever has been a warning that Gastro has hit....you'd think the school would tell us when flu cases are in a child's class. I have one sick little girl who is happy to hear she can drink all the flat gingerale pop she wants.

A treat for the little sicko. I am sorry. I hope she does not share.
I kept Teddy home during the heat yesterday. 110 is too hot to go out in. I took him today as it cooled off a little. Only 3 students came to class yesterday and there were only 5 today. Yes, that is too hot for kids.

HI ! About the heat--we are having a break in the Heat these last few days. don't get me wrong--it is still HOT BUT IN THE MID 80's or a bit more---and the humidity is less...

I will have to read about your swamp coolers again, Tina..I still do not understand. and I would like to. Perhaps the internet will help me to understand.

I kept the girls today for an hour or so by myself. While Valarie took the girls to the Drs. I kept Henry & he & I made breakfast. He was ever so happy. (we had pancakes) Good news is there is enough for him to have some tomorrow as well. Then when Val came home, she said gee I wish I had of gone to get my fitted sheet covers for the pack n play---So, I told her to go that I would keep the girls. So, she did & she took Henry with her..he was ever so happy to "get into the car". The girls slept for the most part. But when they are awake, they all 3 think it is time to eat....but hey you get to hold them then...

I received a card in the mail yesterday notifying me of a problem with a parcel I mailed...I have to go to the post office tomorrow to see what is the problem. I have no luck at all with mailing items cross border.

Today I shall be mowing grass.

Our temps are to be back to normal warm. Not the excessive heat we've had. I'm glad.

I am VERY tired, but it is good to be so tired. Things are going much better now--I guess they are getting used to me being around.

Yes things are going much better. Henry is even warming up to me finally (although, Shirley (the other Grandma) wins over me, and Pa-paw (Rod) wins over me, he is asking me to help him sometimes & play with him....so this visit is a good thing. Why the "girls" even smile at me on occasion....

Yes, Teddy appears better but I'm not taking him to school today. A little more recover time is called for. So I'm staying home and getting some housework done.

I'm done working in the heat for today. It's a bit warm out. I polished off about six crackers with peanut butter added. And I'm about ready for a nap.

Good evening....we had thunderstorms today. It makes for a long day with being outside and having to have the electronics shut off.

I just made 16 cups of strawberry jelly preserves. Time to start filling the pantry for Winter.

16 cups is a good beginning, Sunny. I hope you can put up a lot more than that.

Tina, is this Teddy's last, really last day? This will really impact your schedule. How is Joni by the way? Haven't heard about her lately or maybe I've missed it.

Sunny, I made freezer jam with my strawberries. Nothing like strawberries on our toast during the winter. :)
