All fresh and new to be filled once more grin

The sun is shining and I will be spending most of the day outdoors.

Good morning. It's a cool drizzly day here so I'll be indoors for the most part. But there is plenty to do.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning. breakfast

I too will spend most of the day indoors. It is to be rainy & possibly stormy off & on today. here in a bit we are supposed to get a break in the rain so I will go to the Grocery then. I am hoping to be able to do laundry in the rainy time.

Rod told me we are supposed to have weather in the 40's for al of next week. So, me being cold will continue for days it seems.

But now that I have complained, I must remind myself, there are no heavy snows or ice to deal with. I need to be thankful for that.

I too wish everyone a good day !

Yes, staying in out of the drizzle. I planned my budget for the month. It is something I both love and dislike. But it is done now and April is tucked away. I also got all of my recycling together and ready to go. And fed us breakfast and washed up the dishes. I'm thinking of tossing together some type of pasta casserole for dinner.

I have gone grocery shopping, came home & took apart my chicken legs & put them on a lipped cookie sheet to freeze.
Then I took the burger that I bought and first took enough out for one meal, then made the rest into individual burgers.

The rest of the meat that I bought could be frozen in their individual packages. Tonight I am cooking Italian sausages for supper.

I will figure out what is going with them later.

I made chili mac for dinner. Along with some veggies and garlic toast. We ate early so we will be snacking later. I have leftovers for another meal or so too. I love leftovers.

Rod grilled the sausages outside tonight. I made rolls, butter noodles, & California medley to go with them.

Not much left over I must say. why I love leftovers also.

Heavy storms are headed this way. I will be back as I can.

Good morning. We are supposed to warm up today and dry up from our drizzly weather. That will be nice.
My plan is to get ready for the school week ahead today. So clean bedding and clean bodies are in order. Lay out clothes and such. Make sure lunch ingredients are packaged up and ready to go.
My baby's birthday is on Tuesday. It it hard to believe it was 22 years ago. They have been wonderful years. But I don't know what to get him at all. That is so stressful.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Morning all,

Isn't it April showers bring May flowers? out April showers (snow) brought more May snow... so want it to warm up and stay that way ... have about 2 inches now... if weather people are right its supposed to start warming up today and get nice soon......

I made a big pot of coffee, teas too, kettle is hot and ready ... oatmeal and different fruits available for topping, milk is in mini fridge, cream too if you like.. cereals and toast with a variety of jams and jellies... fresh butter in the dish too.. eggs made to order, French toast, waffles too.. bacon and sausage are in the warmer oven... turned up the heater In the Gazebo.. enjoy !

well that made me hungry, so off to eat my oatmeal and blueberries....

Nana

YAY !!! Nana is cooking breakfasts again !!! How I have missed that.

We went to church, to visit my MIL, then to clean church for a members wake. Then we finally went out to eat lunch. The restaurant looked closed so we went to a small Amish store nearby, & bought Summer Sausage & homemade bread & brought them home.

We are now looking at dreary skies and waiting for more rain & storms. rolz

I am hoping for warmth & melting snows for all of us.

Storming around here.

Oatmeal and blueberries. Yum. I have eaten all my frozen blueberries and they won't fruit again until around the first of June. Sure hope the birds don't beat me to them. I was going to eat some oatmeal at the hotel Friday but it was instant. Not a fan of instant oatmeal. Do you guys make yours in the crock pot overnight? Speaking of blueberries, I've got to stop eating crap. For the last 6 weeks I've been eating fast food and drinking Pepsi nonstop and I feel awful. I've got to get it under control.

We went to Saint Simons Island Thursday and came back yesterday. It was grandparents day at Colt's school and Ginger had his birthday party on Saturday. We stayed in a hotel instead of at Ginger's and it was very nice to be able to have a break. The hotels there are sort of expensive but I'm thinking I'm gonna do that every time. I didn't realize I felt so overwhelmed until I had a break from it all.

Tina, I'm always enthralled over your budget making process. Wish you could teach me how to do it.

My budget is just mine, Sheri. No one else is spending my money. I am sure it would be difficult with two people spending. It can be done but both people have to be on board with it. But it helps me to remember to make sure I have money put by for the few larger bills that show up intermittently; property taxes, memberships, insurance, etc.
Sweet dreams all. I'm exhausted.

Good morning. I slept well and long. I feel good except the nose. Hopefully that will clear during the day.
No Carol, It would drive you nuts to have anyone else in charge of your budget. It would me too.
It's going to be a lovely day here. I'll get a few things done.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning. I have already cleaned church for a funeral today, (May is my month to clean church) went to get a routine blood test & am washing clothes now. Soon I will go and do some prep work for a Shower my sister is giving Valarie & the girls. Her DH will be giving Brian a diaper shower as well.

It is cool & overcast here today, but hey, it is not raining. That is a plus--

Carol, church members take turns cleaning your church? Is it the entire church? Not sure I'd want to be on that list. :)

A diaper shower is a good idea cuz can you just imagine diapers x 3. Lordy. What if they had to have cloth diapers. Oh my gosh. These are exciting times.

Hi all.

I see everyone has been busy.

I am so glad that they are planning a diaper party Junie, my daughter has not bought a diaper yet and probably won't need to until after baby's first birthday.

My DH just received a 6 month job lay off yesterday....when it rains, it pours it seems.

Good evening.

Sunny, I am sorry to hear of your DH's lay off. I hope that something can be worked out.

Tina, I agree, morning does come too soon. As soon as I fix Rod's lunch I too am, headed to bed.

Tomorrow is Ceramics. Then after lunch, I will be going to my Eye Drs. I have not had my eyes checked in say 5 years, so it is for sure time to do so. I'll see you all after supper tomorrow evening.

Sweet Dreams wavy

Good luck at the eye doctors, Carol.

Good morning, we woke up this morning to snow falling....thankfully it has turned to rain at the moment.

DH will be able to find some work in June....once the woods dry up enough that transports can haul timber on the secondary roads. Until then he will file for Employment Insurance. The worst part is that we have to go three weeks with no pay coming in before the benefits kick in.

Today I am taking a break...it's too wet to go outdoors and the indoors is already cleaned.

A day of rest is good, Sunny. If my house ever gets all clean at once I would have to celebrate somehow. I'd probably get out my sewing machine and create something.

I should have taken out the sewing machine but I have no material to do anything with. I need to buy some flat sheets if I can find some on clearance soon....I like the cotton fabric for projects.

I have been watching TV and researching things on the internet for most of the day....it has been quiet but also unproductive. I hope the weather cooperates tomorrow.

I can't imagine not having material around. I still have fabric around from my middle daughter from the early 80's. And I've added kid prints with my last two children. As well as pretty stuff I found on sale without any plans for.
For a few years my town didn't any fabric or sewing supplies at all. The Joanne's and places closed down and Walmart dropped the line. Walmart recently started back up with carrying fabric and things so I feel much better.

I too have drawers full of material. from baby prints, to satins, and yes even some feed sack material. AND I have a drawer full of lace and baby buttons. Perhaps I can get to use this now.

The Eye Drs. appt. went well. The Dr. said that since I have had cataract surgery in both eyes, my eyes have changed very little and will not, well unless something goes very wrong.

So, I did not have to buy new glasses. The up side?? he gave me a prescription for IF I break my glasses.

Good morning.

Tina, we have no fabric shop here so I have used up every scrap over the years making baby blankets as Baby Shower gifts. Fabricville is a 4 hour drive from here....so flat sheets it has to be.

I have went for a walk, done up the housework, did some yard work and it is still not lunch time. I need to grab a shower in a few and head out to do errands....school is cancelled for the rest of the week as well so GG will be waiting for me at 2 pm.

Have a good day everyone.

Thank You, Tina. I also like him. he has extra schooling and can prescribe medications for certain eye diseases so that is why I still go there. And hey, he was also a wealth of information on Retirement issues as well. IT WAS a good visit.

Sunny, errands. I run a LOT of them, It is a never-ending chore, and I hope that you have an easy day out today. The prize at the end of the day is getting to pick up your Grand Girl. Congrats.

Today it is more errands for me as well. But it is a nice day so that will be ok with me.

Good for you, Sunny. Have fun with your GG.
I ran errands myself this morning. Well just the bank, school and store. I'm going for some gift cards for teachers before I pick Teddy up from school. They will be the last ones they get. The last we will have to buy.
We nave chances of rain Thursday and Friday. That's a good thing. But I want all the things I need in the house before it gets here.

I picked up an end of the year card for GG's teacher but haven't picked up a gift yet...I need to do that soon. I also picked up my mom's Mother's day gift today but had to give it to her early. No big surprise...she gets lobsters every year lol

GG is outside with DH so I get a 5 minute break while getting her bath ready. I raked another big area of my lawn...well between the snow mounds haha

I keep a large Rubbermaid container full of odd gifts. That way I have a last minute gift handy or a filler gift if I need that as well. Too bad you do not live close to me, Sunny. You could come & see if there is something in my container that you could use.

It has proven quite handy over the years.

Supper is over & I think I will watch some TV now...

I also have totes with gifts. It has been a few years since I've used my kid tote though.
Raking around the snow is good Sunny.

I got the gift cards for the teachers. That is a load off my mind (and wallet). I know they will like them because I got inside info.
Now I'm going to head for bed. Sweet dreams all.
