Did I tell you guys that I won a prize for buying Elsie a gift? I got 2 movie tickets in a cute Christmas box. Actually like the box more than the tickets. Who knew I'd win a prize for giving a gift.? I guess the tickets were donated. Not sure how many prizes were given out.

Since we've started taking these trips it's cut way down on our present buying. I buy each child (on my side) 1 gift and give my children and their husbands $20.00 a piece in a tiny stocking. Johnny gives his children money - always has. I took my mother to her hair dresser last week and gave the lady $100.00 to fix my mothers hair a few more times. This is my mothers Christmas gift. I mean what do you give an 84 year old woman??? She gets her hair fixed every Thursday so at least I know she'll use the money. I'll get my step dad a gift certificate to Bass Pro Shop. Neither of them need or say they want 1 thing so it gets hard coming up with an idea. I hope Johnny and I aren't exchanging this year. We are redoing the downstairs bathroom and that's present enough for me. I can never think what to get him.

I just finished my shopping today--well all but 1 cardigan sweater for my MIL. Now to wrap.

As far as exchanging with my DH, I gave him my list, & he informed me they were not gifts..(if I bought either of what was on my list You all would hear the yelling b/c of the amount of Money)--I just may do it..we shall see.

He wants to take me to the local farm store AND I should buy something----SMH----oh--he has a $60.00 gift card to there----

Up next for me is wrapping...

Sometimes it's best to buy your own gifts. Johnny can NOT buy decent jewelry so unless I point to exactly what I want and make sure he's seen it then I don't want him buying me jewelry. Not that I wear much jewelry anyway but he's not good at buying me clothes either. Remember the other year I wanted a mixer, hinted all over the place, even showed him what I wanted in the store? He got me earrings. I'll buy myself a present and say it's from you Johnny.

Too funny Sheri.

DH and I usually do not exchange gifts...mind you last year because of a big overtime check, we treated ourselves to a hand snow blower. This year it will be nothing and I'm fine with that....we won't spend money we do not have. thumbup
