A new post for a new morning.

I hope Teddy feels better soon, those bugs are awful...great idea as well on the gift cards Tina.

Junie, I am glad your mom is well enough to be moved...fingers crossed for a quick recovery. Yay on the decor getting up.

Gremelin, keep safe...the weather is not cooperating for anyone.

We got hit with freezing rain last night....while I was a half hour drive from home, I had to head back. It is still slippery this morning. I really need to get out and get errands done but I'll not risk it yet.

I came in this morning as you closed up the last CH, Sunny. And then the site locked me out.
Good morning. The boy seems a little better today. At least it appears so. He let me sleep. So today is more laundry and some cooking. And taking care of Teddy.

Yesterday I couldn't get on for a bit, it kept telling me my username was not valid. Just hiccups I guess.

I am glad that Teddy is better.

I never accomplished much today as far as errands go, the freezing rain was off and on all day.

I finally put on the meatloaves I was going to do on Tuesday. I didn't do it then, I couldn't do it yesterday. I had to do it today or be willing to give up on all that meat. I hate waste and love meatloaf.
I got clothing washed, folded and put away. And I took a nap. I ate. I am done for the day. So much better than yesterday.

good evening.

Glad that you ladies finally got on--& sorry for the hiccups.
I guess it was good that I was not home to try to get on....and just as an FYI: I have no smart phone, so no getting on the internet when I am away from home. Sorry.

Glad that you are home safe, Sunny & Tina, glad that your teddy is feeling better---now just so you do not get ill.

I will be gone again tomorrow & O do not know for how long. It is for my mom yet again.

in case I am not back in tonight--g'nite everyone.

Good morning.

Tina, Junie's mom fell and broke her pelvis in three places.

I do hope today brings a better day for everyone, fingers crossed that I can finally get out later and get my errands done.

Tina: Sunny is right.
Today AFTER they transfer Mom to a Nursing home for Rehab, we find out
that they transferred a lady that is in the beginning stages of pneumonia. and THAT us why she digressed and so had to be transferred to a home for her therapy. We are livid.

we also found out that the pelvis is actually cracked in 3 places not broke----they said at first that is was broke but stable--BUT what that means is it was cracked in 3 places & therefor stable & she can bear weight on it...if Drs could only speak English to us...

Hello all,

I just finished up the money envelopes and some of the Christmas cards... did clean up my office too.. was a mess , it's been snowing most of
today... and it's cold... Joe is out shoveling now.. hopefully weathermen are right and tomorrow is nicer.. got a little more shopping to get done..

Tina glad you are feeling better... and Teddy too... those bugs are hard on the system...

Nicoli and I worked most of Fri to get him finished up with this semester , took his last assessment and got all his science experiments done and reports ready to email teachers... now he won't have to work while other boys are out of school...

We will be baking our Christmas goodies next week... even found an eggnog fudge receipe so Nicoli can have some too..

Well off to make some dinner and some hot tea,,,, just can't get warm..

Nana

Even though it was overcast today, it was warm,--close to 70 actually.
This is definitely MY idea of winter. (we might well get storms tonight/rain tomorrow--gee I hope they are mistaken.

Sorry you are all cold..that is hard I know---I have that happen sometimes here too.
Glad that Nicoli got his work done now---now he too can have a nicer Christmas Vacation.

2 batches of sugar cookies done---the first one a few got a bit brown, so as I was making them to give to one of Rod's co-workers, I made the second batch. And, no, the leftovers will not make it to the middle of next week I can promise you. (not because of me)

I have jsujt began to wash clothes---so, I wil be up awhile yet---
however, I will bid you all goodnight now.

Good morning. I thought I would be wrapping gifts this weekend but it didn't work out that way. Maybe today. But I will get Teddy cleaned up for school. And wash bedding today. That is the main thing on my list.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Tina, is Teddy better? You might have posted that in the last Coffee House. I guess since you're getting him cleaned up for school he must be.

As far as being cold, it's hot here. Like spring time. Not sure what this is doing for the bugs that want to eat my vegetables next year.

I am exhausted. This week we have been running everywhere to play rehearsals and Christmas plays and I've got another one in about an hour. I'd just like to lay down and go to sleep.

Teddy was completely normal within two days. It has taken me a little longer to recover though. I should be completely recovered by tomorrow.

Good on you getting some stuff done, Carol. I can barely drag my self around to do the necessities. But the bedding is cleaned and so is my boy. I've showered and fed the kid today. So we're ready for what tomorrow may bring. I hope tomorrow is much more pleasant than the last few have been.

Good morning. Well, The last member of our house got this flu last night. So I hope we are done with flu for the year. I need to finish getting ready for Christmas. I hope Jonni sleeps most of the day. She'll need it. And I am not bouncing back as quickly as Teddy did. But better. I feel blessed.
I wish everyone a good day today.

Next week is Christmas week. I am very glad we got this out of the way here. We will be good to go next week.
Meanwhile, we are still taking it easy on the diets around here. That is good for weight management, at least.

Oh My hope you get over the bugs fast,,, no fun at all to be ill during the holidays...

We did our last bit of science today... and got it all submitted to the teachers.. Carrie has some more to do for her end of it...
but major stuff is done...brought them all to our house for the afternoon... they picked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to watch... Timothy especially loves musicals..it's so sad the poor child can't sing but loves all kinds of music... from 20's swing to current hip hop stuff.. he will play my old records from60's and70's.. loves folk music , very different kind of teenager...

We have our Derek's birthday on Wed.. he will officially be a teenager too... he is having his friends over for a sleepover on Sat and they will be going bowling too.. we will do a small get together Wed evening for the family... he is very excited to have is new school friends over...

Well I better go and get busy... have to decide what goodies I am making for cookie plates this year... do know I am going to try my hand at eggnog fudge... can't do choc because of Nicoi... but hoping this is a good substitute.. will do sugar cookies too...

Have a good evening all
Nana

Nana sure is busy. I wish her luck with the makings of her Christmas plates.

I wish I had time for sweet makings---perhaps next week for just Rod & I..that might be fun for us.

Going to bed soon..nite nite

Good morning. I hope you have what you need to stay safe in your weather, Sunny.
I'm up a little early today. Ready for my healthy week to start. Bring it on.

Thanks Tina, I am comfortable...in fact I have a batch of bread ready to go into the oven in a few minutes. DH has been plowing roads since 4 a.m. he said it is terrible out there.

Only thing for me to do in this storm is shovel the steps...it is too bad out to even try to clear snow out of the driveway yet. That will be the job for late tonight.

Hoping your day is going well.
