Good morning.

Tina, I guess no matter how much shrubs and trees you remove...it seems like it is never enough. Do you want me to send some beavers to help grin I am glad no damage was done, that is scary.

I had a LONG day yesterday. Took GG to the doc and waited forever, they gave me a prescription...which could not be filled there, I had to drive another 20 minutes to another pharmacy. Which by the way was next to the appt I had at my doc. Thankfully they hadn't filled the spot I cancelled that morning and took me anyway. All of this took 6 hrs....what ridiculous.

I also got hit by a rock flying from under a big truck that passed me and chipped my windshield. I swear some days just have to go wrong every which way.

Today we are getting the tail end of the latest Hurricane, we are expecting storms with heavy winds...I am not leaving the house today thumbup

Good morning. Did the meds at least put GG on the road to recovery, Sunny? And I am glad you could see your Dr. too.
I slept a full 8 hours last night. It feels so good. Now a day of school and a weekend to follow. Right now, I'm going to dive into my cup of coffee.

Yes, it is bad and yes it is sad, but mainly it makes me worry about the rest of the world.
I am thinking this is all just shades of things to come.
Then I worry about my children & my Grandbabies...

The world has gone crazy...things that we'd only here about on the news seems to be happening in our own backyards now.

exactly, sunny. This is just like a bad dream.

I have errands to do this morning but then this evening, or late afternoon, I get to go out to eat. YAY. Valarie gave us a gift card for Grandparents Day, & Rod must think I could use something happy happening. shewinks He would be right.

Yay! Have fun, Carol. You deserve it.
Good morning. It is a regular Saturday for me. That means laundry out on the line. I do have to go out for some bread at some point today. And some raking would be a good thing too.

I recorded a few gifts that I got yesterday, then I set up a folding table so I could wrap gifts. (and sew henry's blanket together.

That was a job I will say..
the table is a very "sturdy" one, and so is heavy. Next will come lunch & then a short nap I am thinking.

I washed clothes today also but between the mix of showers and flurries I opted for the dryer.

Sounds like you had a busy day Junie.

My mother came for a visit and just had to mention that she seen a few homes that have already set up their indoor Christmas trees(Thanksgiving is in October here) so of course GG was tormenting me to the point where I gave in and just gave her the little table top tree to put up. Now she wants the stockings lol

If I have a tree, it goes up on Dec 14. That is soon enough and makes a good birthday celebration for me.
My laundry is folded and put away. Tomorrow is bedding and maybe some towels. I still have not gone out to pick up bread.

When I was still at home with my parents our tree went up on my mother's birthday. (December 17th)

when my girls were small I tired to put it up T-Giving weekend, BUT If I do not I am hard pressed to get it up but a few days before Christmas & often it is a small one (I have a 3 ft. tree I bought to put up in Rod's apartment when we were engaged.

I will put mine up next weekend (that is the plan anyway) If I do not I might just not put one up & that would be sad indeed.

Brrr, rain and snow make sludge. Sometimes I am very happy that I live in California. If I want snow play, I can drive an hour or less away and play. I don't.
Keep safe, Sunny.

I too hate snow--and if you mix anything with it, I hate it more.

It is a beautiful day here (LOW 70's) but it is to rain, A LOT for at least 3 or 4 days next week. The clouds are already moving in.

Today I FINALLY cleaned off my flower gardens. I had intended to clean off the weeds I killed back a month ago in my rocked area, but they were small & went to dust when I pulled at them.

In other news & notes:

My youngest DD & her family arrived in Virginia this morning. They will begin to move into their new house tomorrow.

I hope it is dry for their move as well. I guess I will have to start to watch the weather there as well as here. why

Yes they have the dog--and their 2 cats.

The oldest son & the 2 cats were in the SUV with my SIL &

the dog, & the baby was in the Chevy VOLT with my DD.

well 4 people and 3 animals is a lot, I guess.
I do not know about all of the house, but there are 5 bedrooms and a office, 2-1/2 or 3-1/2 baths, then the other regular rooms one would have. I cannot wait to see the house.

IF we are able to go, the plan is to go next spring....

I am washing clothes and addressing Christmas Cards right now. I figure the Cards can set in my spare room until it is time to send them.
I am trying to "Get Ahead" before my life gets crazy, which it does between Thanksgiving & New Years.

At some point I too will head to my bed. Sweet Dreams everyone.

Good morning.

I am glad your daughter and family had a safe trip, Junie.

Yesterday we had to take apart all the bathroom plumbing again....and finally got it all cleared out for good this time. Then DH noticed that the toilet was leaking underneath into the crawl space...so we had to lift that to fix it. Now I know why people rent lol

Today will be putting the house back together...yesterday not to much got done with all the plumbing issues.

Good morning. Cold and windy out. It seems the rain is over though. Yesterday was downright blustery. I will get my kid to school and shop a little and then home to do a little housework.
I hope your house goes back together easily, Sunny.

OH MY! It seems it is always something, huh, Sunny. I hope the repairs are done for a good while now.

It is raining here today..off & on. From what the weather people say, it will do this until say Friday. I was lucky to be able to go out & get my mail this morning while it was sprinkling for a few moments. Glad I ran a few errands yesterday. Now I can stay in while it is raining. Well perhaps I will go out tomorrow.

Tina, we had the wind last week, or was it before that ? I hope it passes soon.

My house is back together...I siliconed everything so nothing else better need to be removed in the bathroom. Those single lever bath taps are more trouble than they are worth.

DH's friend just stopped by to buy a bird gun...we have 11 and only 3 get used so guess what I'm selling. thumbup There are some extra things that are not used at the barn that are going as well. I'm topping up that emergency fund one way or another.

Good plan, Sunny. And I agree. The single lever contraptions are not so hot. I like the old fashioned tap faucets where all the little innards are replaceable.
I am glad your bathroom is back together now.

yep, IMO the single lever faucets are pretty, but not very useful.

Still raining here--washer & dryer are both going.

We are expecting another blizzard tonit... it's coming down a little already... boys are praying for a snowday... they will be here till Jon makes it home..he has been working later this last couple weeks... hopefully not to late, I didn't plan on feeding them .. but can make spaghetti if I have to... Joe brought in some wood for the fireplace just in case we lose power...

Well off to see if I can get something done before boys go home... I am worn out from teaching... and we only did workbooks ... and a science experiment...

Have a good evening... all!

OH MY< a blizzard...I am so sorry to hear that. IMO it is far too early for such goings on. IMO: Snow storms are for Christmas Eve/Day and January. I hope it does not stick around long.

The really bad/heavy rains have yet to begin. But it is sure cooler here today than it was yesterday.

I hope it lets up tomorrow for me. I hate to drive in heavy rain.
