Good morning. Yay! you get to see the boys and it looks like they will hang out for awhile. I am happy for you, Carol. How far are they moving?
Sunny, I have not gone completely organic, either. I just look around for choices in my foods. Like organic pastas and cereals are fairly readily available here. I read labels like crazy.
I am glad you are getting your hay in this year.
I need to shop for some fresh bread and such this morning. So I had best get started soon.

The moving....I thought I said, sorry..

Their Daddy who has a federal job, got a promotion & with that comes a move.
He will now be working at his companies headquarters in Washington D.C. They will be moving as soon as their house sells.
I am proud of Chris, happy for Emily, but sad for myself. If we had the $$ for me to just fly out there when I wanted that would be one thing---but that is not the case. Rod says we will go and visit but I know that is not the case. I will hope they will come home often. why

Micah is just starting to recognize when he sees me.

I hope their move is successful. I am just sorry it is so far away from you. It could be worse though. They could be moving to California, or overseas somewhere.
I shopped. And got gas. And cleaned out the kitchen fridge. There were science experiments hidden in the back of it. It's all fresh and clean now. Now I am taking a break.

Well, before they had the boys, they already have lived in California. Chris was stationed in San Diego. They lived in Chula Vista. I did get to visit there once. All I saw was their apartment, some store, the beach (one time) and we did go to Tijuana though.

AND Chris says eventually he will have to spend a year or 2 overseas. He is hoping Germany, so he will be centrally located so they will be able to see a lot of Europe.

Yes, it is a good/nice job...but...

another hot day here..it is 96*F actual temperature...

My brother spent a lot of time over seas with his job. My oldest niece was born in Germany. His second daughter was born in Hawaii. He also worked inside a mountain in Colorado. His company is contracted to the Gov't. He is in Qatar now.
I do understand the travel bug. But mine packed up and moved on without me a few years ago. I am no longer interested in travel.
Our temps got up to 87* today. That is so moderate compared to the usual that I'm afraid I'll jinx it if I say much about it.

Well, they do not have the travel bug, but if my SIL is to advance in his job, he will go where they send him.

Sad thing is he is also in the Navy reserves. Now what is sad about that is they like to send him places for say a year at a time. (call him up to be active) Good think is it will always be to safe places..he is in IT work.
Well, when Emily lived around friends & family, that was ok---but I think his 5 years of them letting him stay home is about up. she has 1 friend that lives about 1 hour away from where they will be....

Good morning.

No rain here today (I do not think) and cooler temps (in the mid 80's)

I must be feeling better, as I wonder what I am going to do with myself today.

Good morning. I worked outside again Before the heat set in. Trying to get some water set up for some of my trees. And getting rid of fallout brush. I am so glad my kid will let me do that. And sometimes come out and help.

Well, I thought of that....and I would gladly have her here, but Then she would have a whole house that would set empty in Virginia.

But of course, if & when, I will offer..

Will she not stay alone when he is called to active duty? That will be particularly hard on the kids.
It was a relaxing day here. I am alone with Teddy tonight. I am still trying to decide what I want to eat tonight.

In all honesty, if she cannot go with him, I am betting (hoping really) that she would come home. Good news is his job will still be waiting for him when he returns.

I am going to sleep now...
Dog has been taken out for the night, treats were given &
I took my pain pills. Hopefully I will sleep well tonight.

I'm so sorry your GG is sick. I hope she gets over it soon.
Good morning. I've been outside messing with my watering. While my laundry was going inside. I'm going to hang those up in a bit. Just towels and such.
I am not sure what I'll do with the rest of the day. We will see.

the sun just gave way to an overcast sky. There is a mild wind and it is nice outside. I would just LOVE to go out & weed my flower beds...I am sure I could spend all day outside doing that & still not be done----

I think the house next door was bought by a couple that used to live in town down a few doors from my MIL. They also go to our church.
I would love to go and knock on the door, as the lady is there cleaning. BUT I don't want to walk that far and if they are busy I think that would be intruding...

PT is done for the day.
Someone will come and discontinue my therapy next week one day.

IF I could NOT sleep I would say I am doing well. It seems I cannot sleep well at night. I think I must be moving around too much in my sleep. I wake up & I can hardly walk. BUT by 10:30 am or so I do pretty good. It is still hard to get up & down, but hey--the Drs. say it will be like 6 months up to a year before I am completely well. So, how I am now is good in the long run.

Going to sleep soon.

Good morning all.

Grandgirl just had a 24 hr bug...she is back to being her bad self lol .She wants to go visit her baby brother today.

I woke up to frost this morning touched ...hopefully my garden was spared, it was watered last night. I guess it is another year where frost hits us every month until the snow leaves and arrives.

Good Morning. Sunny, glad your GG only had a 24 hour bug.

All I have in the way of a garden this year is my herbs, and I did have 2 tomato plants in a half barrel that my DH was caring for, for me--well a squirrel or something is helping their self to them. I had an almost ripe tomato on July 3 & I was so happy, but come a few days later, when I went out to get my tomato, it was gone..

I think a lot of us have messed up growing seasons compared to what we were used to.

It has rained so much here it has been on the news even in Australia, where friends of mine live and saw it. Flash floods came so fast many were swept right out of their beds by the water in the middle of the night. So many still unaccounted for.
Well, crazy brother crashed his new amphibious plane last night. It was terrible hearing a plane has crashed in the lake, and me knowing that's where he had headed after he did a few circles over my house. I couldn't even stop crying for a long time after I knew he was safe.

Here's one of the news stories right after it happened.

So glad to hear that your Brother is ok, though. Sorry you did not find out he was ok sooner than you did.

Dodge, I just spoke to my cousin, who lives in the next town to me. She said I was not to worry about losing my tomatoes, that what tomatoes they did get were tough-skinned and had no flavor. She says we should just start frying the green ones so as to get something out if our plants. why

He wasn't going to land on the lake, he had his GoPro camera attached to his plane and was flying over the lake and had some kind of mechanical problem and tried to land. It started sinking fast.

video from pontoon. These people kept the plane from sinking.

I'm glad he had people around that helped save the plane. Was it his or a rental?

A fire broke out near me today. Not too near and burning in a direction away from me. But I'm going to watch it. Meanwhile all kinds of cars and trucks went up in flames. That I have never seen before. And neither have the firefighters fighting it.
