What I don't like is that $10/mo Cable Modem Rental Fee; want to know something they don't tell you? You can buy your own top of the line modem for like $120 or so (cable modem) which would be a whopping 12 months to pay off without that fee and it'll work faster and give you better speeds than the one you'd rent from them.

Thanks, James.
That is our plan IF our server allows us to buy our own modem.

Carol, according to this they support docsys 3.0, so as long as they let you bring your own modem the one i linked to earlier would work with that.

Good morning.

I know nothing about high tech gadgets....I wish I did.

I got up at 7 a.m. and made biscuits for strawberry shortcakes(my garden is bountiful this year) and a big bowl of macaroni salad with deviled eggs. I am going to try beat the heat today...although I still have to grill the meat rolz

Good morning. I only know enough about tech gadgets to know that I don't know enough.
Your food sounds good, Sunny. I love pasta but not cold in salads any more. I don't know why. It would make life much more comfortable if I did. I do make them for my kids who eat them though.
So far my list includes washing bedding. I'm not sure what else will get done today.

I LOVE pasta salads, BUT when it comes to eating a meal I want it to be hot food. That began when I was on weight watchers the first time. (I guess I ate too many lettuce salads then.

Good morning. I slept from 10:30 last night until 8 am this morning! hifive
well if you do not count the 3 times I got up to go potty.
I have just started drinking iced Green Tea again..I guess I should not have. why

Sun is shining here today..horrid heat is to follow this weekend..then rain again the rest of next week starting Tuesday. rolz

Wooohooo...I am back on here! I have literally been freaking stuck on Facebook for what seems like weeks. My computer froze there and that's the only place I could get back on when I got the computer back on...it kept re-storing the page where it shut down and I couldn't go anywhere else. So glad to have it fixed now! party

Yeah, I think I know and understand too much about technology, definately enough to keep me occupied and busy most of the time (my organization is now writing the forum software itself, versus just providing modifications and services for it); so aside from just finding time to manage sites/communities/client work I have major coding tasks to take care of (and something you'd figure would be straight forward and easy to do ends up super complicated).

I'm glad you're back Cindy, I've missed seeing you post!

Trey and I finally got all of our camping gear ready this week, and got our packing done last night; today we're vegetating because tomorrow at 9am we'll be getting ready to leave for our week long camping trip with the cub scouts at the coast. This year should be way less stressful than last year, since we're with a different group and it's just the older scouts going versus the entire group.

Good morning.

Today I will hang my sheets and blankets out in that breeze...calling for 4 days with no rain thumbup

Haying starts today as well.

I have a birthday party to attend with GG, then off to see her baby brother. It will be a long day. Although I am looking forward to buying some fresh produce in town. It's pretty bad when you get excited to buy fruits and vegetables lol

Hanging clothes out...My how I miss that. when we moved to this house, back in December of 2004...Rod did not then ( of course) but not since either, put me up a new clothes line. I do not even have something I can put clothes out on hangers with.

YAY for getting the hay in !!

about getting excited for fresh fruits & veggies...
I feel silly now, but I was going to say I now get to go to the grocery today. I was hoping I could also get to go to the fruit & veggie stand....

Evidently, Trey has been up since 3am, and I've been up since 5am... We don't even leave for a couple of more hours (it's only 8am now, we leave at 10:30am). Excitement? lol

Good morning/afternoon. I went out and worked this morning. It felt good to do in the cool of the morning, communing with nature. It is also the most cool morning we will have for awhile I think. I was glad to have the time to do it. I watched a hawk teaching her baby to fly while out.
I strung a couple of lines for drying clothes this year. I've always wanted one and finally got around to it. I hate heating my house with the dryer in the summer. This year I am using the line like crazy.

So, do you need to go again this week?
I am trying to go as little as possible this month. But every few days I tend to run out of things like milk and bread. So it' off to the store for me again.

I used to run & get that stuff as I needed it too, but now he has the check book and is buying food & gas with his credit card...Lordy wait until he gets the CC statement this next month...LOL

I keep warning him how he has to watch how much $$ he is spending...but he says we are ok--yea until next year tax time....

Good morning.

We are getting that heat as well, I was out at 7 a.m. doing the hand mowing. My neighbor's must love me haha

I love my clothesline Tina...in fact I am thinking of running another next year.

Junie, I went for groceries yesterday as well....and blew my budget by $40. I am impressed though that now the grocery store receipt tells you exactly how much you saved with their sale, how much with coupons and the average amount.

Good morning. Keep cool in your heat, Carol. We have had an unprecedented cool July for the most part. With cool nights and warm (but not hot) days. That will change, I am sure. Although I would like it to stay.
Those receipts are nice, Sunny.

I was out doing yard work and weed patrol. How Tina can stand this kind of heat amazes me. You are tough.

I decided yesterday to give in and buy a frozen pizza for today(knowing it was supposed to be extremely hot)...yuck. It is so strange how that a person can get so used to home cooked meals. I hate pre-processed food. Lesson learned on me.

Time to throw GG in the tub...she's dirtier than the horses lol

Oh honey: the convenience is way worth the eating of processed food. you just pop it in the oven & your done. if I am feeling extra nice I add a salad with it.

When the kids were small, I would make them from scratch. Well, I bought packaged dough starter, where I just added warm water to it, but otherwise I made it from scratch--those were good too. But Rod is just as happy now-a-days with the frozen, so it is less work for me. :)

I have not had a frozen pizza for years. I don't like processed foods. I don't like my kids eating processed foods.
Food (processed) is so much more unhealthy these days than it was when my older kids were small. My mother used Velveeta boxes to store things in. I was going through some of the things a year or so ago and got distracted by the ingredients list. There was milk and diary whey, cheese cultures and salt. I went and bought a current box of Velveeta and found a much longer list of chemicals I don't want.
I have been moving more and more towards organics. The saying goes something like; buy cheaper processed foods now and spend more on healthcare later.
And I don't work when it is hot. I can't. I work in the cool of the mornings mostly to stay out of the heat. And I just don't go out when it's hot. I am far from tough. I am a wimp these days.
I am looking forward to my bed tonight. And I didn't do much today. But the thermometer is climbing. And I get washed out in just the heat.

Good morning...another extremely hot day here, they have already given warnings for the elderly and young.

Tina, the list of chemicals on food now is sickening. No wonder cancer is eating everyone up. Finding organic items here is near impossible unless you grow it yourself.

I have lots to do today...of course today would be the day that one hay field needs to be baled and taken in. We are taking it easier though, we are doing one field at a time instead of like the past years.

good morning.
The storm missed us last night.
Today it is supposed to be a real hot one again. Having to stay in is not all bad I guess.

Today, I get to see Emily & the boys !! YAY !!

They are bringing their dog over for a "vacation" while their house is being professionally cleaned & put on the market.

I was hoping they would not be leaving so soon, but apparently they are leaving sooner rather than later.
