My plan for this weekend will be to photo document (and share) the hiding creatures in my yard.

I've been reading AGF for the past year. Decided to finally join.

I purchased 5 of these "Japanese Note" stones from Lowes around 2011. They each have a different note on them; Love, Hope, Dream, Believe, Smile, etc.

They are in the sun for most of the day. About the summer of 2013, each just started exploding. Not a huge explosion, but enough to make a pop and break up the whole stone in to several smaller pieces without anything flying. I would walk out and find the stone looking like a Doritos potato chip that someone stood on.

The "Love" stone is the only one of that set left.

That is cute, Bean.
So much of the stuff they make for outdoors has a date with death.

Tina & Dodge, The Dragon was a beast to get home. Had two guys lift it out of the back of my car. Almost 150 lbs! The fairy was much easier to deal with, as she is just a small amount of copper.

Happy Sunday!

Just a few. I keep spraying them away, but they come back again

There are some owls and many hawks who like to hang out on the phone pole just above the garden shed, but I don't think they like stone froggies too much

From Lowes, this is the one

I'm not sure how big, maybe 30" or 40" from a tip to tip. The darkness of the inner glass changes from a golden yellow to a deep orange, depending on how the sun hits it.

In the front, another sun was used to cover up some cords coming out of the side of a wall along the entry; thinking that if I cannot detract attention from those unsightly cords, make them look good.

In another corner, where my neighbor replaced one of their front fences with a white fence, and left an unmatched brick wall, I stuck a pelican in the corner. It still needs to be leveled in to the dirt, but at least the attention is now shared, rather than focused on the three different types of fences.

Everyone is happy

Yes, that's a good focal point to detract from the fences.

1. I normally add these plastic colored aquarium trinkets around the soil of the rose bushes to keep the neighbor's cats away (it works!) but just recently stuck a few in the small-cactus pots as a way to add a bit more zing!

2. More fun stuff from the aquarium store. Sea shells and a ceramic ox skull.

The cactus probably don't mind one bit.

I love seashells around my desert plants in SoCal. Cute with the plastic trinkets.

Southern California, north of Los Angeles city.

The fern grows so quickly and is very territorial. It gets cut back each month. Even so, it's still difficult for the lemon tree to get some decent water

These guys love to bring surprises! It's like they party at night and forget to close when the sun comes up

It's cute but I'm not so sure it's healthy for the plant.

Not to worry, I get a few of these too

I had a 2016 calendar sitting on the patio table and she just landed on to it. Probably thinking the photo on the front was real
