Is that a lemon tree? It is striking with that little girl under it.

h a large lemon tree...it is so nice. The only other lemon tree I have ever seen was one being grown indoors it was on a pot about the size of a washtub, and it was just a bit shorter than 8 feet in height. Yours is sure grand. Congratulations.

I have an apple tree as well, but I think it stopped making any good apples about 3 years ago. The whole tree is about 30-35 years old, and needs to be replaced with something. Not sure with what quite yet. Maybe a fountain of sorts. I'm really not sure how to go about doing any of that

Always, thank you Junie and Tina!

The owl was found at OSH. They have also rabbits, and frogs in this same design

And of all the places, these "Wall Inspirations" were found at a Burlington Coat Factory, IIRC

Bean: I was just looking at your photos again. I was wondering if your beautiful wind chime commemorates a passed loved one. I have one just about like yours only mine is all metal. the sounds are deep & rich. It has verses on it and is to remind me of my father who passed in 2010.

Sorry to hear about your father. Memorial Wind Chimes are very special and can help getting through tough times, to help remember that the passing of a loved one doesnt mean they have left you, but are still with you and are now watching over you from another place.

Unlike your wind chime, there is nothing as special about the one in my yard.

The solar path-lights were from OSH. The white LED short-string of lights were from target, IIRC. Mother Nature provided the wind which blew the leaves all over the lawn

Thank you, both!

The iron bell was from Sperling Nursery; which very sadly, just closed at the end of July 2015.

Sperling was absolutely a unique nursery, and a destination I looked forward to visiting often.

A few articles with photos.

Some nice stuff. I had a family owned nursery here that was my favorite go to place. It was closed when the owner died. I was so sad.

There is a place in Charlotte, Royal Gardens, that has way cool stuff. I signed up for a class last summer, drove all the way in, only to be told that the class was cancelled. Haven't made that mistake again but I do like looking at the cool stuff.

The same thing happened with Sperling, a year after its owner died. Your nursery and Sperling's owners are probably both rolling over in their graves. So sad.

Now that sounds cool! I mean, taking a gardening class. I never thought there was such a thing, outside of landscaping and related. I should really look in to something like this and see what is offered. Thanks for the tip!
