Beautiful, ladies.

I moved mine right before I left to get the 2nd surgery. It is doing wonderfully. If I can figure out how to load the pics from my new camera to this laptop, I will share a photo.

It didn't take long for it to flower. The other 2 are up and leafed out but haven't flowered.

not sure what I'm going to do with this in the winter. I'll have to take it out of the pot it's in if I bring it inside so it might not make it. Junie, is yours an inside plant?

Yes, Sheri, Mine is an inside plant.

If it were me, I would dig the plant out--wide & deep, being sure NOT to disturb the roots. Then you will know what size pot to put it in, from the size of the root ball....add dirt to the bottom of the new pot add the exsisting plant/dirt & then add soil as needed. and water it.
Keep it in a cooler place, for awhile (inside the garage?) You know a reverse hardening off??

Then bring it in....and OH--ask Dodge about feeding it.
I just use a general plant food at half strength myself.

Oh jeepers. Sounds like this is going to be a lot of trouble like the asparagus fern. Which, by the way, I may leave outside to die this winter.

1) No, not a lot of trouble--I am betting the roots are not that deep in the ground. and once it is in a pot---it will be easy peasy, I promise.

Oh MY, please do not let the beautiful fern die. Can't you put it on the porch again ???

That fern is still outside BUT it's been so hot it hasn't been hurt. I just can't make myself think about bringing it in. On another note my Christmas cactus doesn't look like it's going to bloom this year.

Junie, my Christmas cactus has buds. Lots of bud. But I'm leaving the asparagus fern outside. Don't cry.

I have put my nicest Christmas cactus in my guest Bedroom. We keep it cooler in there and it is dark in there much of the day.
I am hoping it gets buds soon.

Well, I guess it is your plant & if you want to keep your fern outdoors then so be it. I will try not to cry. bow

Well my cactus is lovely. Not sure why it's blooming so late but it's lovely as can be.

And I couldn't stand it Junie. This morning, after it being 25°last night, I cut waaaay back the asparagus fern, and brought it inside. It's not dead so it will fine. I think I'm going to keep cutting it back so it won't be so difficult to deal with the watering this time. (PS I just found out that to make the ° symbol I hold down the alt key and type 248 and there it is.)

No it won't work on my computer either. Of course I don't have the numerical keypad on this netbook and the instructions tell you to use that.

Yes..I press the alt key--(I have tried them both)--keep holding it and then type in 248... it either skips to another page or just does nothing at all.

well that's no fun. I googled it and this is what I found. Try the other way and let me know if it works.

How to make a degree symbol

You can copy/paste the symbol from this answer ° or type it as follows:

Windows
•Option 1: Hold down the ALT key and then enter the number 248 or 0176 on your numeric keypad
•Option 2: In Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Word, you can use the Insert > Symbol feature to add the symbol

Sadly I do not have Word, or office....(very sad am I) I just tried the other set of numbers as you posted them & I was closed out of AGF and wound up at my IE home page.

Thanks so much for trying once again though, Sheri.

I hate this plant. It's messy and time consuming. I thought about putting it back out in the cold.

I am sorry that you feel that way. Asparagus Ferns are to my notion very hard to grow....at least I never could.

Do you have a friend you could gift the fern to???

Wish you lived close enough to take it. It's still inside on the dining room table growing like a weed. It's so pretty when it's outside :)
