angel
In our area we mostly visit the graves an clean up around the tombs.
Special services for the dead. Not much for party time here, most plant flowers an do garden work that weekend.........

So far I washed 7 tombstones her for hubby an family members.. Lots of my late relatives are buried here near me.......

Whatever you do, say a prayer for the soilders an living an dead family.
I put posies on ours.

John died six years ago this month. We visited his burial site earlier in the month. As he is at a National Cemetery I do not want to fight the traffic and crowds on holidays. So we don't do much special on Memorial Day.

Last year Colt and Aubry were with us for the weekend and we went to a parade. Not sure what we'll do this year.

When I was a child, as a family we went to where my Grandmother & Uncle were buried. All or most of my family would be there.
Then we would come home & have a family and pr friend BBQ party.

Now days we go to various cemeteries before Memorial Day, & the day of we do not a lot of anything. Once in awhile we might have a small BBQ meal.

This year it is my turn to put the flowers on my father's grave for Memorial Day.

I need to check around for a parade and see if Ginger will come with Colt. Not sure what Colby will be able to do by that date.

Good luck on finding the parade. That would be nice.
