I ordered some things from a popular online/catalog company. (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention names)

Anyway, I am wondering if the stuff I got that has new growth already needs to be hardened off? And is everything different in what it needs as far as the process... ? Thanks!

It might help to know what it is? But even in California, I at least let things rest in the shade for awhile before planting out.
You may use the names of the places you ordered from and tell us what you ordered. The individual plants may have different needs.

Thank you!! I ordered from Michigan Bulb. Not everything has new growth on it, but the stuff that does is Butterfly Bush, Coreopsis, Ice Plant, BiColor Hens and Chicks, Pampas Grass, Black Eyed Susan, Coneflower, Tonto Hardy Crape Myrtle, Carpet Phlox, Miniature Hollyhock and Primrose.

I have the Primrose in early morning sun, then shade the rest of the day, but everything else is out front in full sun. I put everything in pots to let it get a good start. Then I will transplant it where I want it. :)

Sounds good. Also easier to move if frost is coming.

So far safe the week..I snuck in 2 tomatoes.
