All fixed. The old towels that I used to sop up the mess are all washed and drying. Tools are put away. Mess is cleaned up. I am not going to put back all of my cleaning supplies until it has a chance to dry some more.
I'm tired again.

Tina, it is always something isn't it? We had freezing rain and lost internet and phone....we now have it back and are getting pounded by a nasty snow storm.

Good morning. I am up and at it today. Ted is going to the fair today during school. I usually shop for weekend needs then hole up for the weekend. And so it will go.

I ended up spending the night with my daughter last night. her youngest was not feeling well, so she asked me to stay. Of course I said yes. he was better this morning & so I headed home.

Sorry for the snow & such, Sunny. I do so hope that it is short-lived.

Dodge, I hope that your snow goes away soon as well.
Perhaps you all could send your "extra" snow to Tina, I am sure she would appreciate the moisture.

I got a few sprinkles on my windshield coming home today. But it does not look like it is here to stay. I am glad it waited for Teddy to finish at the fair, though.
I took advantage of them being later than usual and go to a store that is further away than my usual. I picked up some paint for his classroom. The teacher said they were running out. They have enough for the rest of the year now. And some things to encourage writing for a friend's granddaughter. So my gifting is taken care of for the next little while.
I am home and going to nap.

went out to pick my husband's new glasses up, then we stopped to eat. A new place had opened up (part of a chain) & we wanted to see. well a normal meal took 25 minutes to get, but it was sure entertaining watching the people "in charge" train the new hires.

I will be going to bed soon. I am tired.

We went to the funeral home and made arrangements for Johnny's uncle. It's exhausting. i need to set up my own arrangements so my children won't have to do it.

I agree Sheri...when death happens it can be overwhelming to have to deal with what arrangements should be taken. Having your own plan in action is the best way.

We ended up with over a foot of snow....the wet sticky kind that is impossible to blow. It can sit in the drive until it melts

Sheri: I am sorry, and I agree. I have a lot of my wishes on a piece of paper in our file. My oldest DD knows where the paper is. I also think it is best to have that taken care of in some way. It is a stressful time & people are just reacting & not always thinking clearly.

Sunny: Wet snow is the worse. I am hoping that it all does not stay around long.

I am making a Birthday Dessert for my daughter this morning. She is 29 today and not liking that fact so much.

I do have a plan in place and paid for. I don't care for myself so much but for my kids' peace of mind. It is all arranged. I do, however, have to update my will.
Happy birthday to your daughter, Carol. It is fun to watch your kids start feeling old.
Teddy will turn 21 in eight days. My baby.

All 4 layers are made now. I just have to wait for the crust to cool then I will assemble it. Then I will take it to Emily.

I will clean up the kitchen while I wait.

Glad that you have things taken care of Tina. I am sure it is a comfort to the kids.

a 4 layer chocolate dessert...in a 9 x 13 casserole

Layer 1 : a shortbread crust w/ pecans..baked & cooled
Layer 2 : a cream cheese & cool whip layer
layer 3 : 2 boxes of instant chocolate pudding (I use cooked
that I cooled)
Layer 4 : Cool whip..my sister said to add some powdered sugar
to make it more stable like icing would be.

Thanks--it is good & you can use any kind of pudding that you prefer, so it is very versatile.

I just took it to her. she was crabby & no one could help her. It is like she enjoys being miserable. The baby did not sleep again last night, then Luke woke up at 6 am for the day..

I offerd to stay & keep the baby so she could sleep, but she said no...

She finally said, thanks for the dessert, but save yourself & leave...so I did.

There is a gentle, constant rain falling....it is good to be inside.

Supper is done. Rod said "this meal is a keeper" sad thing is, I made it as I went along. don't know if I could duplicate it.

(turkey in the slow cooker for a long time, then chicken stock, & seasoning & herbs added later. served over noodles.)

We've got a gentle rain falling too. It feels like a little miracle. It will be gone by tomorrow and we will be back into the 80's and 90's next week.

Nah, we only had a 20% chance today. It was a gift. After today none is forecast. I can use a little warm sunshine though.

They say for the next 2 weeks it will be nice here. I am hoping so, as I have much weeding & garden prep to do.

I haven't read back. Got to get back off here in a few, bad thunderstorms.
Lola is doing fine, I wish I could figure out how to post pictures on here. I forgot my Photobucket password. Rachel got me an "Exclusive Release, Record Store Day special, first time on vinyl since 1989, Red, Rocky Horror Picture Show The Time Warp EP" for Mother's Day and is going to have it framed for me. Coolest thing ever and I will figure out how to post a pic here so you can see it....and Lola, and the other critters.

I went to Wal-Mart today. That's a newsworthy event for me. I wanted some milk. There were 20 carts blocking the milk...old grey haired scraggly woman (me) with a cane left my cart at the tater chip aisle, breezed right through and got my milk while the cart traffic jam was trying to figure it's way out. Smooth move!

Good for you on both counts Cindy ( the smooth move at Wal-mart & the mother's day gift,) Sorry about the bad weather.

I will try that. I have had the same email address since google first started gmail, I was one of the first ones to get it when they were testing it.

My day is done. Tomorrows clothes are laid out. Baths, bed and dinner are all taken care of. I am counting down until bedtime here.

I have done little of nothing today. I was going to do some bookwork but I do not feel like it, so that will have to wait until tomorrow.
