Roast chicken--YUM !!! I want some too !!

BUT we will not be eating any chicken I bought.. I found that the package of legs that I bought, had a 'buy by' date of the 18th....


I was going to buy fish from a local church for tonight's supper, but I do not want to go out in the dark on questionable roads, so I bought some fish at the grocery for our supper tonight.

Nothing wrong with fish.
I had wild Haddock for supper tonite.. Love Haddock......Fish frys everywhere. But I don't want to go out in nasty weather.
Last year I went to a fish fry for six weeks, kind of didn't make my day, most were just a small piece of fish an lots of green beans....Yuk I hate them.
Not worth $8. to eat something I didn't like.

I eat lots of salmon too.. Make salmon cakes lots of times.
Or eat it raw.

Mac n' Cheese, chicken thighs and pea and carrots. It's what's for dinner.

Barb, the dinners here are a choice of several kinds of Fish or Shrimp..then 2 of the following sides: Mac & Cheese, Slaw, French Fries, & potato Salad. Then you also get 2 slices of bread, your choice of condiments, a piece of Pie, and if you eat in the hall where they sell the dines, you get a drink.

But they will be there on Friday's when the weather is better...so I can be patient.

I heard sleet hitting the side of the house earlier, so I am thinking that I will be staying home tomorrow.

I used to eat Salmon---I need to start again....I just bought 4 frozen pre-made patties...we will see if they are worth it, or if I will go back to making my own.

That sounds good, Carol. I have cooked, eaten and cleaned up. I had a nap for about an hour today but I am tired. I thin I will be going to bed early.

I too had a nap. Mine was after supper. and now, of course, I am not tired...

I love fish...well except for fried smelts. I guess growing up with uncles that were fisherman had an influence on me. I bought some Basa last week, it was delicious.

Nothing planned for today..it is too cold to venture out.

Good morning. I am up but going back to bed soon. I don't think I want fish for breakfast. But I like it alright. But my favorite is shellfish. I love all kinds but especially scallops. Mmmmm...

I love scallops too..the large ones..
BUT, my favorite is Snow Crab legs. I had king crab once, but it was too sweet to my notion.

Well I tried to clean off my porch, but the ice is not budging. I did however clean a walk-way where the ice did not reach.

I put out new food for the birds. They are just now coming back around...

Yes, king crab is a dessert. It is a sweet dish.
I am up for the second time. This time my bones are really screaming at me. I meant to take some aspirin the first time up but forgot. I won't forget again soon.

The sun is shining now....so I guess we will see if the roads clear or not...

No sun here....About 4 inches of snow may get 9........

yes we had the ice & snow last night & into today. But now supposedly it is all done and while it will be cold, (so the snow will not melt) we are not getting anymore--well for today & tomorrow.

I would like to think we will be staying in tomorrow but I am betting he will drive to church & to see his Mom....

and so as a result I get to be taken to my great-nieces birthday party...late but better late than never

Home from the party...I went with my daughter & her family.

It was a nice time--plus I got to see my daughter sit & talk nicely to my sister. That was nice to see. Apparently I am the only one she treats badly. So at lest she paid attention when I raised her.

Snow crab season is in April here...the best treat ever.

I guess we are all dealing with cr@ppy weather...I swear it snows everyday here. On a good note, we are on the last week of February

I guess I am going to have to learn how to cook crab. I can sooner buy it than I could get to a Red Lobster restaurant to pay for some.

For today the roads are for the most part clear...still snow everywhere else, but still if one can drive.....

Good morning. Today is a day for getting ready for the week ahead. So clean beds and clean bodies. It is the day of the week for which I am most grateful.

I am home from church, visiting Marie, & eating lunch.
I feel like a nap, but I am thinking of doing some embroidery.

I did the laundry Friday, so I think there will be little to no work done today...well other than meals.

I've got all my laundry finished too. Except the last load of mostly towels in the dryer. I am heating a large pot of water on the stove to warm the bathroom for bathing. That will happen in a bit. I'm thinking homemade chicken pot pies for dinner.

Tina I like the idea of heating water for the bathroom. I need to try that sometime.

Except for holidays that fall on a Sunday, we always have Pizza on Sundays. And If I am feeling energetic, I will make a salad to go with the pizza...Carol does not like to work much on Sundays.

But having said that, I have a load of laundry in the washing machine as we speak.

Well, my heating is via woodstove and it doesn't extend to the bathrooms. So I have a large pot the lives on my stove and warms my small bathroom when I need it. It has been about 50* and rainy today.

Now it is my bed time. Good night and sweet dreams all.

Yes, I need to get to bed as well.
