Hello Tina. I've been pretty worthless today. Went to church then slept the afternoon away and have been watching Masterpiece Mystery on TV since I woke up. Johnny went back to church but I did not. So I'm sitting here eating a gigantic cookie from Jimmy John's.

A gigantic cookie sounds good. I just finished watching the Seahawks win. Now I am watching the Colts/Patriots.

I am happy that Carrie is doing better, Nana. Has the stone passed? I will continue prayers for her.

Yes I too wonder how Carrie is doing.

Today was a good day.....I do so wish that my girls lived closer to me---but oh well...

I am not tired, but I guess I should go to sleep soon.

Good morning. Did Rod go to work this morning, Carol?
I am still planning out my day. It includes shopping and hair cuts. I am not sure what else.
I hope your head clears up soon, Carol.

Yes he went to work---I guess he must have been shaving or something--I kept hearing this knocking. I finally decided it was him knocking the shave cream off of his razor...??

My head drained when I got up. I used to take decongestants for my sinus headaches & it worked like a charm. But The Drs. do not want me taking decongestants now

I finally went back to sleep for about 45 minutes, & now I feel better.

I have a Drs. appointment today---so that is what I will be doing.

OH MY, Sunny. I too hope the kids are safe.

I am back from the Drs. The receptionist didn't log me in with the nurses as present...so I sat an extra hour...THEN...the lab my insurance made me go to so they would pay, didn't bother to send the results to the dr...so I had to sit another LONG time while they called & finally got the results sent to the Dr.

Good news ?? I lost 11 pounds.

I do not live where winters keep me indoors. So I guess it is good.
I am done with my day. I made beans with ham hocks for dinner. The laundry is finished as are the dishes. Ted's hair is cut and he has been bathed. I have showered. I got lots of little things done around the house. I am finished except for dinner dishes etc.

I would love to eat beans & hamhocks.
Rod does not like beans, so I try to eat them out when I can find them,

I have a few loads of laundry to finish tonight & then when the sheets are dry I will need to make our bed.

Rod has a cold, so a nice clean bad should be nice for him.

Aubry and I went to see Paddington today. It's a great movie. Then we went to WalMart to buy stuff to make her a poster. Then we went and ate Mexican. Was 64°here today. It was a good day.

I like clean sheets too.

Hi all,

Well we are hoping the stone has passed.. as they used a laser to turn it into sand it should have come out on it's one... and they put a stent in to keep her open to let it all pass easier- it's attached to what looks like fishing line and she is to remove it herself tomorrow... I am hoping it doesn't hurt... this hospital did not impress me at all... first they didn't tell them they were doing the procedure till 10 min before they did it and then she was at first told she would be able to leave after... she was so out of it and in pain and nauseous after they kept her another 2 days... the doc barely spoke to them before... and said while he passing Jon in waiting room- she is out and will be back in her room when she is awake... then nurse came 10 min later and said she is back in her room .. she was still out from the anesthetic... no one seems to communicate there at all.... nurse care was good... but docs sucked! I sure wouldn't go to that hospital for care... I spent most of the day with her today- she is just sitting and watching tv and sleeping ... this has worn her out .. at least her work put her on leave for rest of week... hopefully she will recover ok when that stent is out and she is feeling more normal...

The good news for me is I get to meet my new great grandson tomorrow... he was born same day as his dad graduated from boot camp... my daughter is home too now from going to GA and back via LA, lots of miles on her car...she got home just about an hour ago... we are hoping the Army gives him leave to come home for a few days so he can meet Caiden too.

Well I am going to go take a hot bath and then clean up the kitchen- fed the little boys dinner tonit and then Joe took them home... they start school tomorrow again...

Nana

I hope she is all better now, Nana. I would insist that they talk to me and to another family member (if I am too out of it). At least I would give the doctor a poor report. Did they give her anything to make is difficult to form any more stones?

Enjoy the new baby Nana...praying Carrie is better soon.

Bestofour, I have been debating taking grandgirl to a movie but they are all 3D maybe that one might be a good idea. Do you think it would hold the interest of a 4 yr old?

I found the weight that Junie lost...it's stuck to my hips haha Not really funny but I'll deal with it all in the spring.

Tina, I agree with the fresh sheets...I change mine every couple of days. It's hard on them with all the laundering but it relaxes me so.

The kids are all o.k. with the weather...I never took grandgirl to school yesterday nor will I take her today. You could honestly put on skates and skate on the roads yet the buses are still passing.

Good morning..the rain and ice have stopped and the cold has set in once again.

I started painting some baseboards, painting them white was a mistake so now they are getting the same darker color that is on the walls. It is covering up the scuffs quite well.

Home repair and upkeep is never ending.

It's lovely weather wise again today but I think the rain is moving in tomorrow. We pressure washed the fence because all this rain has turned everything green. Yuck. Hope we get rain when it's garden time.

I spent the day playing with my oldest grandson as his Mommy has decided to potty train him. I think he is too young, and she is the one getting "trained" but he did beautifully today.

he did not have 1 accident ay all.

I've got to meet the lady for eggs today. It's inconvenient since the farmers market closed to have to find a spot to meet. I like home grown eggs so much better than processed though.

There is nothing worth watching on TV in the morning. Why did I even turn it on? Oh right there was a SWAT situation down the road and I was hoping for news. Well forget that.

Any ideas on if I can force this hyacinth to bloom again or not?

I want to make chicken stir fry. I have boneless, skinless chicken thighs. How should I cook them before I add the vegetables?

Good morning !!..I got up at 6:45, said no way, & went bacl to sleep for an hour. thumbup

Sheri--I have no idea about forcing bulbs, but I have seen it on the internet for tulips...and I would think you could try to do it the same way. Just google it ??

about the chicken stir fry:

First cut up the chicken in either small cubes or strips (whichever you prefer) and using oil, season how you want, brown & cook them in the same pot that you will use for the stir fry. remove them, to the same pot, add the veggies (& more oil if needed) a few TB of water, and cook the veggies. When you are very close to eating, add back in the meat to coat it with the veggies & sauce (if you have any)...it is easy peasy--I do it all the time.
