Well, it sounds like you got a good gift for a future techie on your list, Carol. I don't even want a smart phone.

yea That is what I thought. I "tried" to give it to my CDD Emily as she got some gag gift or other, but, she said we will figure out how to let you use it...yea well I do not have a smart phone either. Rod would like one (for occasional use) but we cannot afford the monthly fees on one, never mind 2.

Well, I hope you had a good time, anyway, Carol. And good food and good company.
I can think about going to bed now. Sweet dreams all.

Yes, the food was good, and of course the company was grand...Why Emily even let me a few others hold Micah for a bit. So, yes I had a good time.

Good morning. I am glad you had a good time and got to see your grandbabies. Do enjoy your day today too.
Today I will dust and wrap. That sounds like a plan I can live with.

Good morning all....hoping you are all well. Nice to see Bill pop in and open a new coffeehouse for us.

I have a few errands to run today...getting prepared for the snow storm on Xmas eve and the heavy rain storm for Christmas Day. Mother Nature needs to get her seasons straight.

I do hope your snow and rain don't cause you damage, Sunny. I know my roof would not be able to withstand your snow. And probably not even the rains you get. But then, neither would my hillside and my house would slide down into the river that would be the floor of my canyon now. It has a creek running through it some of the year. The rest of the year it is an underground creek.
They need to design a roof that sheds snow and is a solar panel as well for you folks. Affordable. Or free and it feeds back into the grid.

One of my Daughters are home and the other one is all packed up and ready to head out "Early" in the morning.

Bit of advice: Do NOT ever go to church the day you expect to "try" to have a Christmas celebration with 3 children, 15 months, 8 months, & one 10 weeks. Esp. if your DH does not know the meaning of quiet....

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night.

I am so sorry Carol....just think though next year all those wee ones will be old enough to tear apart your house and tree cry

Tina, next year we have to put new roofing on our house...we are hoping we can afford to do a teflon coated steel roofing. It comes with a lifetime guarantee and we have seen that the few houses that were done with them are snow free...it just slides right off.

The snowstorm for Xmas eve is now a freezing rain storm...what crazy weather.

Thank you so much, Sunny. The DH is now trying to destroy my actual Christmas.
First, yoiu need to know, My Emily is a female version of him. She and Chris want us to spend the night Christmas Eve so as to be there in the morning early.
Well, he goes along with it, (I think) until this morning when he says he wants to wait & go there Christmas Morning.

Well, Emily will remember how we all were asked to go stay at Valarie's house back when she was married to JJ, & that we did so.
And she will not forget it & take it very personally.

IF he keeps this up he is going to get what he wants..To be left the *ell alone....but in the process I will get left alone as well... SMH tears

Can you say clinical depression.....

Good morning. Can you not go spend the night without him Carol? Or alternatively, maybe it would be a relief to her to not have to entertain in the evening as well. Give her the option.
Today I will brave the grocery store and pick up a couple of needed things.

I can only go by myself IF I want to start a world war here..
he would not look kindly upon me doing that..and
he would NEVER forget it either.
AND I would pay for it a LONG time.....

This was all HER idea....she wants us there early so she can open her gifts on her schedule not on ours...which I can understand.
Rod cannot...

Then it is Emily and Rod's problem to work out. Hand him the phone. I don't see any other way to work it out. I am sorry you are stuck in the middle. He can blame it on his most recent surgery or something.

Thanks for the advice.

I cannot really give you advice. I have never been in your position. And what I've said could just dig a deeper hole. I just see this as someone else's problem and not really yours. This is Rod's daughter too. He agreed and then changed his mind. It is his to deal with.

lol --I lose them often myself. lol

I feel I must say:
Rod came home from work tonight he hugged me said he was sorry for yelling at me that he saw me holding our middle grandson all the while Valarie was yelling at me (being crabby from lack of sleep really) & he realized he had done the same, so he apologized. Then he said we would go to Emily's Christmas Eve night.

As a bonus he is taking me to the craft town I was talking about on Christmas Eve day.

at least he admits when he is wrong....

Howdy, Bill. The thumbup is one of my favorite guys. so much so that when I am chatting online with someone and it isn't available, I type in tug for thumb up guy.

I have been missing in action lately- seeems like I can not get rid of this attack of IBS I am having ... it usually goes away in a few day- not doing it this time and makes me miserable ... hard to get anything done too..

I heard from my nephew and his gf today on facebook that his stepmother is taking her kids and grandkids out for Christmas dinner but they are not invited and there will not be any food for them to have dinner Christmas Eve or Day... told Joe so he said to invite them to spend the Eve and Day with us- we will just expand what food we were going to do for the two of us and play with the baby... his father is such an A&& he won't stand up to her and include his own children with hers... just can not understand that.... they were coming over for the day anyway... so just means extra food for the Eve and breakfast Christmas Day... haven't made breakfast on the Day for a long time...

Well I have to get ready to go out in the snow and finish grocery shopping for the dinner, meeting Carrie at her store... it's been snowing most of the day just a bit.. not really a lot .. but it's chilly,

I am glad it worked out for you Carol.. it's hard when kids and husbands don't see eye to eye.. and are to much alike to see it... been there and done it more than once...

Well off to get ready,
Nana

Thanks so very much ladies..I do appreciate being backed so.
and Rod did say once that he understands Emily better than anyone on the planet, so deep down he knows how much alike they are...which is most likely why he changed his mind...

He really surprised me by doing that though. I am still smiling to think that he did.

Sorry you are not feeling well, Nana. I hope the IBS straightens up soon for you. and I am glad that you were there for your nephew. He will always remember that kindness as will his GF, I am sure.

I am now off to make my deviled eggs for our Ceramics party tomorrow. Then I think my bed is calling me.

See everyone later wavy

Mmmm, deviled eggs sound good. I have been wrapping gifts here. All but three are done. I have a couple more that are supposed to be in the mail tomorrow or Wednesday. I may just leave those and pop a ribbon and tag on them.

All that I ordered have arrived. All are wrapped, & most are opened. I have a very few to go to Emily's Christmas.

Rod & I both feel like we ate too much. (no fevers though)
He went to work, we will see if he comes home or not.

I have a ceramics party today. If nothing else, I will take my gifts & food to them & come home. Lordy I had better NOT get sick. Emily will not understand at all. (We missed Luke's Birthday back in September because Luke had been sick & Rod was having surgery the next week)

Happy Tuesday everyone !

Good morning all.

Be careful Nana...I was told I had IBS and it was really Lymphositic Colitis, I needed a treatment of Entocort to clear it up.

I am so glad that you got an apology Junie, while it does not remove all the hurt...it will relieve some of the sadness. kissie Enjoy your time at Crafttown and make sure to buy yourself something.

Tina, slow and steady wins the race...it will soon be all over and away again for another year.

Thanks Sunny.
WE are not doing well, so we may not be going to Lebanon tomorrow...which works out, as the weather is supposed to be rainy & snowy tomorrow. That little car of mine doe snot afford much protection should we have a crash, so....

Going to lie back down---see you all later...

Oh, I hope you are feeling better, Carol. It is not a fun season to be sick.
Good morning. I was out in the sunrise, drinking coffee with one hand and picking up some of the wind litter with the other. It was nice, just the dog and I.
I do need to go out before everything is buttoned up for the holiday on Thursday. I need a few fresh food items in and I have been putting it off. I didn't want to face the world out there.
As far as my late orders, I was having great difficulties deciding on gifts this year. I didn't have anything strike me as the perfect gift for anyone. It is a small gift year here.

Yes it was a smaller day here this year as well....

I felt OK when I woke up this morning. But when I bent over tp wash my hair I got sick..but I did not vomit---I just belched gas & felt instantly better so I went to ceramics...well about 11:30 I started feeling bad again, so I came home.

Still belching here...Rod worked 1/2 a day & then he came home...we are sick people indeed...I hope we are better tomorrow.

I am off to take a nap now wavy

Evening all,

I am listening to the weather forcast right now... the s word is on for Christmas Day- maybe a lot of it.... we got some last night too... I ended up going to target today with my oldest dd.. my neice's husband ordered her brother and his girlfriend gifts from amazon to be delivered here for them and the baby- she called and asked me to open and wrap them... so did.. he ordered cute pj's for the baby- all in one sleepers - but they are all 3 month sized.. the baby is 4 months now and last time I saw him (Thankgsgiving) they wouldn't have fit him... so decided they would fit new great grandson when he arrives next month so will keep them for him and went and bought 3 more for Zander, larger sized and 2 are sleeping bags.. so have to get those and toys for our twins wrapped and stockings made up for rest of kids... the twins won't be here for Christmas but my son will come get their presents... they both came down with flu.. docs gave them tamiflu and their Mom said she was coming anyway- we said hmmmmm no,, if you do Nicoli can't be around them at all- if he got flu on top of his CVS it could killl him easily... so finally got it... don't spread the flu! you would think she would no since both of the boys are immune comprimised themselves... hate being in middle of kids disputes...

I got my banana bread baked- only had enough bananas to make 4 loaves.. so may go get more nanas tomorrow and make 4 more... going to make some gingerbread tomororw too... but buy my Christmas cookies... out of time to bake much else... going to have company for the eve night so have to get dinner tomorrow too... lasagna and shrimp ...will be an easy and dinner that will have some leftovers for hungry nephew.. he is only 18 , 6 ft tall and I think he may still be growing- sure don't know where he gets it- his dad is 5' 6" at the most and my sis is just over 5', throwback to much earlier ancestors I guess...

Well off to my pillows for me , got to clean and bake tomorrow and then get to play with the baby!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight !

Good morning all...the S word is upon us now and I wish it would stay instead of the 6 hrs of freezing rain forecast for this afternoon.

I agree Nana, the flu needs to be kept at home. Hope they feel better soon.

I am praying Carol and Rod are o.k. and that it is not food poisoning.

Merry Christmas James, Tina, Carol, Nana, Sheri, Dodge, and Bill and to all of your families. kissie ...and to you too Cindy, I hope you are still following us.
