Good morning! My roommate found us a good place yesterday. 2 bed, 2 bath, ground floor with a yard area and no buildings behind us. Pool, fitness center, etc. Close to grocery stores. I just have to submit my application tomorrow. I've really come to enjoy working at the plastic store. I love the residents at my other job but we're so often short staffed, which falls heavily on me basically being the evening supervisor and having to do meds and help with care. If their pay scale wasn't so low they'd probably get more people hired. I did finally get a raise. I'm off early at the plastic store today for a bridal party lunch, then I'll go to the other job.

Cheryl, I am glad that your roommate has found such a nice sounding place for the 2 of you. Sounds as if the jobs are going well too. Congrats.

Evening all

I thought I had posted earlier---- hmmmmm wonder where it went?

I became a great aunt again today- my sister's youngest boy.. he is just 18 and his girlfriend had a baby boy this afternoon... they just moved back to Colorado a few weeks ago... she looks about 12.... so young.... then I remember I had my first at 17..... LOL!

My girls and I are going to hospital tomorrow to see them... we will go shopping in the morning first for baby stuff... they had a baby boy... named him Zander Franklin...

Well it's not late yet but for some reason I am tired tonit... been having sciatica and seems to take a lot out of me ... doing my exercises but it's sure not going away very fast...

Cheryl hope you get the new apartment and find a job that will let you just work one ... 2 jobs have to be hard to do... to many hours...

Well off to finish up dishes and head for my pillows.... will be up early tomorrow ..

Nana

wavy Nana. Sounds like things are going well.

I am getting up early as well. MInd you I have no idea waht my DH means by early... rolz He thinks we are going to box up ALL of his Mom's stuff in one morning & then bring it home. Then "I" can go thru it & sort it here......

I wish I were tired enough to go to bed & sleep...that would help I am sure.

But Just "in case" I do not make it back in----I will say g'nite now...G'nite---Sweet Dreams.

And good morning. I have been up a couple of hours. I have no big plans for this hot day. Ted and I will go out in a bit for some bread and sundries. Too hot to do a lot of moving around.

I'll spare you the details, but today Rod & I went to my MIL's apartment & began going thru things to get rid of all of the small junky stuff and get rid of dishes & such that we or someone in the family cannot use. Her place looks like a cyclone hit it-- rolz why

Raining off & on all day and thundering/raining in the backround now.

Going to bed soon (I guess)

Good for you, TIna. I am glad that you are happy with your day, and that you are getting lost accomplished.
WE got 4.5 inches of rain here between yesterday & all of last night.
Tolday it DID rain here again, so we did not stop at my MIL's, but I am getting things in order here at the house, so I am happy with my day as well.

Pizza for supper here tonight.

That is a lot of rain. I wish we had an economical way to share weather. I could send sunshine and trade it for rain.

I do too. I could use some sunshine--esp for the next few weeks.

Usually we have to rake grass until some time in June--then it begins to turn brown & then by July we do not have to cut grass but ever 10 days to 2 weeks, & then often just trimming is required. If I had of had the time, I should be raking every grass cutting--- rolz

Happy birthday, Aubrey!
I am glad you have your power back, Sunny. It is unnerving to lose power sometimes. With my kids, I always made it a party time and tried to make it fun.

I am wondering if Carol is stuck under fallen boxes at her MIL's apartment? I really hope it went well.
I had a good day. A little shopping and a meeting for some Teddy stuff. But I began the day so early that I am tired. Ted is whupped too.

Joe had doc appt... got new scrip for more blood pressure meds... hit one grocery store... have doc appt for me tomorrow for my last laser treatment... boys started their online school today... kind of confusing but we figured it out mostly.. hopefully will be easier tomorrow... Carrie took this week off to deal with it all so it's nice for them. Timothy starts school tomorrow ... 8th grade ! How did that happen so fast.. he is also taller than me now- and Derek isn't to far behind.. he is in 6th grade now...

Well I am heading for my pillows now.. have to be up early to make my doc appt... always something to keep me busy...

Nope, but just about--

here's where we are:

Both phones are in their new homes. The curio cabinet & 1 chest of drawers are spoken for. As are 1 chair and 2 recliners. The love seat/bed, the end tables..& much more. YAY !!!

I have made 2 trips there today--and have spent more than 2/3 of the day there---and that was when I was not home calling places & changing addresses, & making other calls for my MIL Where is my husband now ??
Sleeping after being mad that I did not make him supper and then I was not there to tell him which boxes go home, the second time I went there..(mind yoiu I said to him I had to go get a fdew groceries first & he should wait awhile before he came over)......
Sometimes I wonder just "whose MOM" this lady is....

OK just out of the bath & am going to find something for supper & then watch some TV before I go to bed--nite nite wavy

Sweet Dreams to you too Tina. snooz

Aw...Nana got to see little baby Zander. I bet that was a neat experience. Children DO grow up quickly don't they ??? I hope the home schooling goes well for the 2 little guys---

Rod just got up to have a snack. he asked me why I hung up on him tonight----LOL well I thought he hung up on me---so I guess either he knows he should not have done that OR the phone messed up----

and as I re-did my last post, all the recliners are spoken for YAY... Now the bedroom set and the drop leaf table & 2 chairs. WE (meaning I) will get done yet----

Good morning, we are all busy bees again aren't we.

Nana, it must be hard on the wallet with all those babies being born. I wouldn't want to have to pay for your birthdays and Xmas gifts lol
Zander is a popular name here, seems all the little boys being born are Zander and Xavier.

I hope everyone has an easier day today..we all seem to be tiring ourselves out. Another preserving/pickling day here.

Ted to school and I stopped to see what was on sale. There was a bunch of meat they wanted off the shelves before the next week's sales begin (tomorrow), so I scooped it up. In the 70's through the 90's, I would not have considered these a good sale though.
I also stopped by my mechanic and made an appointment for an oil change and fluids in general on Thursday.
Got that home and divided and socked away in the freezer. I have a load in the washer and one in the dryer. Moving along.

Yay for getting to go to ceramics... and getting almost done with the apt clearing out... I remember doing that for my Mom when she moved... it's always a mess...

I had my last doc apt today... it was much easier and no swelling so was a happy camper , even went out to eat after... so that was fun- then did the grocery shopping ... we will be running over to Carrie's soon and picking up Timothy and taking him and his retainer to the dentist to see if they can fix it where the dog got ahold of it and chewed it...hopefully they can and he doesn't need a new one...

The little boys are doing alright so far with the homeschooling- except Derek is still doing his on off hours cause his sleep schedule is messed up... poor Nicoli was up early and ate then started his and he had an attack.. Carrie gave him his meds and now he is asleep sure hope it goes away and they can do school tonit.. she has to go to a meeting with Jon so we are doing the dentist thing and big brother Joseph will be home with sleeping boys,,, going to be an interesting school year for us....

Yes Sunny all the new babies in the family just add to the bills on holidays,we had to make it a rule that the kids over 18 don't get presents anymore.. except on birthdays and then it's usually money... with 15 grands and 1 great grand, another on the way... and a great nephew now.... I do have a Christmas acct and pick up stuff thru out the year... and new babies get a floor blanket I make at birth- the grand nephew came early so will be making his blanket in the next couple weeks.. and get it at the family get together for Labor Day...

Well it's time to fold laundry and then make a trip to dentists office.....

Nana

Hi Tina,

No they are not cheap... and yes they managed to fix it .... so glad... !She has two more kids that will need retainers and braces in next few years.

Just got home and going to grill some burgers on grill in a few- have some leftover pasta salad and will steam some broccoli for dinner... had to run by Best Buy on the way home and get a new wireless receiver for hubby's computer... old one just quit working.. new one is working just fine...

We had a few sprinkles earlier and it got really windy but seems to have cleared up now- our monsoon season has lasted a long time this year... we needed the rain but think it will last till it snows.... has helped our drought a lot...

Well off to go fold the laundry and see what else I have ignored today....

I am glad they were able to fix it, Nana.
We have had some rain this summer with the monsoonal thing. And we could have some more this week. But it has not fixed the drought much. Az flooded today, big time.

Gee--so glad they were able to fix the retainer. Any time a cost can be kept down the better to my notion.

baby-sitting begins for me tomorrow. Wed-Thur-Fri this week..then Thursday-Friday next week & back & forth. Luckily I will only have 5 hour days. BUT then in say 3 months I will have a new born to add to that mix.....

See you guys tomorrow afternoon...wavy

Have fun with the grandbaby today Junie.

Glad the retainer was fixable Nana, and yes I think the over 18 is a great rule. When we used to buy for everyone many years ago, my cut off was 16.

Grandgirl has decided to 'craft' everything in sight. I have about 30 'hand turkeys' taped everywhere. It's a good thing we don't close to Tina and her stockpile of supplies for Teddy. lol

I hope to get my grass cut today, with all this rain it sure perked things up.
