While we were at the ponding store today, we went into their florist section, and were surprised to find a few cages of canaries in the back room. I have always had an affection for canaries, as I had many growing up. I would have some now, but they are so fragile - the slightest breeze can do them in! Plus... the singing males around here go for $100 and up!!!
Here are a few that were nesting - there were actually about 10 in different nests!

And nooooooooo - these 2 are not doing "the deed"! They were simply cuddling... or so said the woman there! Do we believe her???
