Good Morning,

It's a quiet morning for me.. Joe is off playing golf with a work buddy... I need to start on my office clean out for the donation boxes... that will be soon .... I have a bunch of stuff already for them... will be so nice when it is all gone and I have more storage room for stuff I want to keep..

It's going to be nice today they say- not to hot yet- Yay no cooler on.. love that- may get a little rain later which would be nice too... save on our water bills..

Well off to get ready for my day- got some sorting to do...

Nana

Trying for mobile compatibility and the old header didn't look well on smaller devices; I'm trying to pull it all together with as little needed change as possible; but the old header just wouldn't do.

Thanks :)...

A LOT of time and research went into making it as clean and friendly as possible; especially where search engines and mobile devices are concerned... The forum itself isn't very mobile friendly as is, so changes go in here all of the time trying to get things to work right (and display correctly).

I wish I had an iPod Touch or something that I can test changes for iOS devices, since all that I have is my Galaxy SII and my Tablet to test changes on and those are both Android, lol.

There are no i "anything" electronic in this house, sorry. And sadly my tablet is android as well. Neither my DH or I have smart phones of any kind. No internet on either of our phones, either, although I think they are both internet capable...the $$ is just not there right now.

having said that, I have just washed a few loads of Baby items as my newest Grandson is coming to see his Grandma & Grandpa saturday night. shewinks

Now it is late & I must get to sleep--so sweet dreams everyone wavy !!

Well, my wonderful day began with a nice earthquake, very close. A 3.5 is not a big shaker but when it is very nearby you notice it. It shook my daughter out of bed and that isn't always an easy task.

OMG !! Tina, I do so hope that you are all ok ! Your poor daughter, I am sure that she did not appreciate being awakened that way. Is 3.5 strong enough to do damage ?? (sorry, I have no idea)

No damage really. I did have one bin of Easter stuff fall off of a high shelf.
Jonni sleeps close to the floor. So it wasn't drastic just unnerving. She is in more danger of being buried alive by the stuff she hoards around her. She ate an apple and a bunch of cherries and went back to bed.
I did keep Ted home from school in case it was a little one before a a larger one. A big fear for me is being separated.

Thanks for explaining to me. I can imagine how being seperated would be frightening. I would not want that either---I think often about such events & how my kids live so far away...

Yes, most of my kids live nearby. But in an emergency, I want them all under my wing, so to speak.

Well you are one lucky Momma. But just when I am feeling sorry for myself & the distance my girls live from us, I run into someone whose kids are half-way across the counrty--or further away.
But yes it is good to have them all under our wings so to speak when something goes awry.

Good morning, a town yard sale sounds like fun.

I wish I could send Tina some of my rain...it is pouring today and I so wanted to work on my shed. It is slow going.

I wish we could send sun or rain wherever it is most needed also. Although this coming winter is looking like an El Nino season and I might end up wanting to share some rain myself.
I made a rare weekend run to the store to feed our fruit addiction.

Good evening all...it's been a busy day, we had a moose get caught in our fencing. He tore up fence pickets and all when he made a break for it. The horses were so upset.

On a good note, we got our roofing finished on my garden shed and made and installed a window today grin

Sounds like a busy day for all, I finished my laundry, Joe fixed our rocking chair- screws broke off so he got some longer ones and made it like new... Yay! vacuumed the house, made the potato and pasta salads for tomorrow, picked up the hotdogs and he made sure we had enough propane for the grill... charged the ride on cars for the kids to play on.. he mowed the yards too... I cleaned both bathrooms... picked up all the stuff that gets left out and put it away.... while we were at the Home Depot we checked out a new sink cabinet for the downstairs bath- and about how much tubs will cost... looked at the surrounds they sell but think we will probably redo the tile - just do it all the way to the ceiling and get the inserts to make shelves too- have one now but it's under the showerhead and everything gets wet- should be on other end I think so if we can reuse that one we will and add a couple higher shelves to back wall too...
don't know why 2 people have so much junk in shower but we seem too...LOL!

We had a little rain and t- storm but it's blown over now- hailed golf ball size hail in some areas but that missed us thank goodness... don't like that at all .. hoping it doesn't do that tomorrow too...

We are late doing it but after our payday on Mon we are picking up flowers for the pots and flower beds... not a whole lot but enough to dress up the yard some.... we want to do something to make the high part of our yard look nicer too.. it's about 3 ft higher than rest of yard and has a wood retaining wall - most of the wall is rotten so Joe plans to replace it but probably not till next year... then we want to level it out and add stepping stones and some kind of ground cover that doesn't require a lot of water up there.

Well off to finish the putting away of laundry and mop kitchen ...

Have a good evening all... I watched the moon last night too... looked like it was right over my fence ...

Nana

Great jobs, Ladies. I cut down some water stressed shrubbery today. It will come back. There is more to cut though. And the regular laundry is done. So a good day here too.

Good morning, still raining here. Tina, it's either feast or famine isn't it?

Nana makes me tired just reading her daily activities she accomplishes lol

Happy Father's Day Gremelin. flwr

We celebrate Grampie's Day here since grandgirl has no idea what a 'father' is. She is so excited, we got a special cake made with her and Grampie's pic on it.

Good morning. We have no living father's left to celebrate here either. So it will be a quiet day. And getting ready for school like normal. But I love Sundays for their quiet routine anyway. So it will be good.

Good Morning all,

Happy Father's Day to Gremlin too.. and all the hubby's and Grandpa's and Papa's too , and all of those doing double duty as moms and dads!

Got up early today- got to get rest of stuff done before all the kid's arrive and kidlets too... going to be a full house today... just like I like it.... even though it wears me out- it's wonderful to have them all here ...

Weather says it will be 80 and sunny today .. so the umbrella will go up and kids can set up slip and slide and play to there hearts content ... we can eat outdoors... less mess in house that way too.... will have Joe set up the teepee too..

Well as soon as I finish my cereal and coffee I am putting together a fruit salad.. apples, plums, banana's, mandarin oranges ,nectarines, with an agave, mayo dressing spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg- and a few slivered almonds thrown in too... just the fruit I have around and will chill it for a while.. all the rest of the food is done except bbqing the hotdogs and brats... will make the guacamole next too... have chips and salsa too , Carrie is bringing veggie tray with her and who knows what else the rest will bring.... will be all good and fun!

Have a wonderful day all!

Nana

Good afternoon and happy Father's Day. Friday I did all my laundry, ran a couple errands, then went to see the girls graduate. It was a great night. Yesterday I worked and it was a mess. So glad I'm off and slept extra today. I have an iPhone and the forum was great for a while, then it changed to be a little less friendly but not a huge deal. It's better now again. Today I think I'm going to treat myself to IHOP. Been craving it for days now.

You know I thought sure I had posted in here tonight...I am sure going to have to check myself--perhaps when I hit send it does not do so ???

Sounds like Nana had a really good time today, if all the preparations are any indication !! Yay for family.

My oldest DD & her family came over yesterday evening, had supper with us, spent the night & went to church with us. Then they drove the 3 hrs back home & spent the rest of the day with Brian's family. My other DD didn't come by at all as her DH had to leave today to go to DC for 2 weeks. So after she got him to the airport she didnt feel up to coming by. She did call her daddy though so that was nice of her.

I hope everyone had a good day.

Cheryl, glad that you got to see the girls & glad that you finally made it to IHOP!!

We hope you had a good Sunday as well, Sunny.

It is supposed to be in the high 90's here this week...I guess I will have to revert to doing outside work early in the day or late in the evening this week.

Prayers for Bill, my candles are lit too....

We did have a wonderful day yesterday... kids all had a ball playing.. ate outside and it was just breezy enough to keep bugs away and not to hot....

Today we were worn out... didn't do much - did have boys here for the day... tomorrow we plan to go to the lake with them and Carrie and have a picnic lunch there... got our stuff out to take and will make sandwiches in morning and take some fruit... make some lemonade and tea for the thermoses.. take water and fruit 2 O too... lots of sunscreen.. and a couple blankets to sit on- carrie's shade tent.. the cool box..the beach towels... hats..

Well off to bed to read a while and sleep soon I hope... will be up early....

Nana
