Good morning. I have been up awhile but began my day differently. I need to take advantage of the coolness of the mornings for active work.

I can't imagine heat like you have Tina...I'd die.

I have just spent the morning hand tilling part of my garden...potatoes are planted.

I would also not do well in your climate. I did live in different parts of the northeast for a few years. Survived a couple of the worst winters Rochester, NY ever had to that date. But the summers were so much harder on me. I do not do humidity well.
Way to go on the potatoes. If I can get hold of seed potatoes in the fall. i would definitely plant some here in towers. They do best in the cool of our winters.

Just leave some of your potatoes go to seed Tina....most farmers spray chemicals on their potatoes to keep them from sprouting but you can still buy organic.

Have a great weekend Cheryl...how is the apartment search going?

Hi Dodge.

Rain and thunder storms for today...another spring cleaning day inside I guess.

Good Morning.

I used to plant a lot of potatoes back at the farm.

IF I had left overs come planting time, I would replant them. They grew nicely.

I have a nuclear stress test today-(well the first part) See you all tonight..

Good morning. Yep, technically still morning here. Getting my laundry done, cleaned the trash out if my car, and going to meet someone about a possible room for rent. Not what I want as it's a neighbor of someone I know and am not too find of but I'm barely home and it's better than sleeping in my car so we'll see.

It is better than sleeping in your car. And if it allows you to save $ for a place of your own then may be worth it. Good luck, Cheryl.
I went out again. As much as I did not want to, I forgot the all-important bananas the last time and Ted was out. As it is about the only fruit he eats, so I wanted to have them for him.
On my way out, I realized there was going to be a concert up at the park tonight. Toby Keith. So I picked up extra so as not to have to go out again until Monday for summer school.
The temps are still much warmer than predicted earlier. I may need a good nap.

I'm baaack !!

The test went well. AND FYI: if the 3 nurses that administered the test ever wanted to change their career, they should consider one in comedy. They had a great routine...and the tech that prepped me could as well. I asked him if I should leave my glasses behind with my sister, & he said no you have to sign a consent form--and then the check for the pizza...and then he went on from there....I will say the test time flew by...

Tomorrow morning Rod & I are going to take the grave marker stone out to Dante`s grave.

Good Morning all,

Got the coffee on and the tea as well..... sure is quiet in here........

Sun is out for now- may rain later today.. it's the usual for us this time of year.. gets warm then rains and cools it off nicely... Joe mowed yesterday , wore him out- grass grew to almost a foot high while we were gone... rained every day ... sure looks nice now....

I want to go to the farmers market today.. if he would wake up we could go.... He has to go to kids house later and see if he can figure out why there GFI plugs shut down and see if he can get them to work again.. it's the one that controls the garage opener so it's kind of important... happened while we were having a thunder and lightning storm so it must have flipped a breaker but he couldn't find right one last night...

Well off to get myself ready for the day... enjoy all!

Nana

Good morning. It has been quiet. I've been trying to get a few things done outdoors before it gets too hot to work comfortably.
I was seeing some of your storm warnings for today, Nana. Keep safe.

Carol, Hope you enjoy dinner...hope she is okay with it too.... families can be so much fun sometimes...

So far our weather has been good today- it did cloud up and threaten to rain here but it blew away quickly and only sprinkled- did see a rainbow though.. that always makes me happy... and so far the flooding that has happened they were better prepared for .. last yr taught a few lessons...

Carrie and I went to a couple thrift stores today to see if we could find the boys some summer clothes... they have outgrown most of what they had... the thrift stores were having sales on a lot of stuff... we found them about 20 pairs of shorts and 15 shirts and 5 outfits for her niece to have at her house too.. we did it for less than 100 dollars too... about a third of what it would have been new stuff... I finally convinced her it doesn't make sense to buy new for them to outgrow it in a few weeks- and yea even Nicoli is growing- he has grown 3 inches with the new med and hasn't hat an attack in 27 days ! a record for him! we are hoping it continues for sure...

Well off to eat a burrito or two for dinner and see what else I can do... laundry is done...

Nana

I am extremely happy that Nicoli has eased off on his attacks!
And very happy they have staved off excessive flooding. Is that burn areas that you are worried about or general areas?
All of my laundry is done as well. I did bedding today. I trimmed fingernails and such. Tomorrow I will trim hair and we should be ready for summer session of school on Monday.

Well Tina the burn area is worried about flooding and slides too... last yr the Thompson river flooded from the mtns down to Loveland...damaged a whole lot of homes... left it's banks in a lot of places and took out roads , bridges, the B and B we go to every yr lost most of 3 cabins.. 2 hottubs... and had to replace elec, plumbing, and flooring , appliances in the 3 - cabins stayed okay- they replaced walls and flooring and are all open now- not bad since they had to wait till spring to get the work done- did most of it themselves too... not to mention the landscaping they had to do too... river moved on them ... don't know what was worse.. do know they did a lot of preparing for this yrs spring runoff and so far the burn season hasn't hit yet, with the rain we are getting and the snow we had that helped a lot...

Well off to get ready for bed... one more load to dry- forgot I had bought some new beach size towels - wanted to get them washed up - we may go to the lake Tues with Carrie and the boys... tomorrow we go to a friends daughters graduation party.. that should be fun.

Let's see if I can remember all the questions.
Emily, Chris & Luke live about 35 minutes away--I used to know the mileage but I have forgotten. I was right. Emily did not want to fix us supper--her cold went into her chest & sicne she is preggers she does not want to take anything. At least that had better be what she meant. SO Christopher called a restaurant & went & picked us up dinner. We had spaghetti & meat sauce, salad & ranch dressing, fried chicken, mashed potatoes & milk gravy, Italian bread w/ garlic butter.and OH!!! Tortellini soup. (YAY !!)

We brought a huge decorated choc chip cookie for dessert.

It was great fun to be with Luke.

Nana: That was a great idea to go to a resell it place. I shope in them all the time. IF you are picky, you can get some nice things.
With Kids they outgrow so fast that the "used" clothing is often like new. AND I will mention this--quite often chain stores will take their things that didnot sell & donate them. I used to get my youngest DD new sweat pants from a Goodwill to work at Adopt A Pet (an animal shelter). And I have seen such as men's shirts still in the packages there.

And I have a new set of sheets that are to die for soft---They are at least 800 thread count--if not more--- (sadly they were not in their original bag so I do not know). I go often--sometimes I buy and sometimes I do not.

A am very glad that Nicoli is feeling better I hope the trend keeps up.

WE picked up the printer that my DH ordered a few days ago. It was VERY cheap but oh well...if I can occasionally get on his printer & print out a recipe or 2 then who cares if it is not the best.

I am glad Luke is warming up to "Grandpa"
35 miles is not too far. But nearer would be better. I am glad you got Luke time and hope you do not catch whatever it is that Emily has.

Good morning.

Yay for Nicoli...and second hand shopping is smart. Wish they had a decent place here to go.

Good to hear you had a nice visit Junie.

Tina, will Teddy continue with schooling or is there a cut off age?

I spent the day yesterday doing lawn work. Hoping the dandelions hide for a bit.

Today DH and I are starting my new garden shed grin ...it has been in the plans for years and is finally becoming a reality.

Good morning. Getting into a good schedule for back to school.
Ted can go to school until he is 22. So he will go through a graduation ceremony in May of 2016. I could have had him do that any of the last 2 years but school is a good, safe social structure for him. He is in a special ed. public school. After 2016, I'll have to find something else for him to do for a few days a week. At least 2 days. There are really lots of places he could go if I go with him. There are fewer places where I can just drop him off and he would be safe from being allowed to wander off. He needs an outside social life that is not here at home. And friends with his own interests and abilities.

Good morning, I understand fully Tina. Safety must come first. Is there any help for one to one companion support? Here in Canada Teddy would be allowed at least 15 hrs a week fully paid by an agency for someone to care and take him out places.

And good afternoon. We are a dull bunch here. The summer session is short, only 3 hours. So it was get Ted to school, stop to shop, bring it home and put away. I had a little time to sit and work on my budget then off again to hit a store that is not open early before picking Ted up again. Ted and I dropped off some food donations for homeless and hard up folks and picked up my older son. We were home for the day by noon. I like that.

Sounds like a good day to me- we got to sleep in now that school is out- course I woke up at 6:30 ... but gave me and early start anyway... did my budget too .. now if the company would just transfer our money in to the IRA I would actually have an income... hopefully it will happen tomorrow... other people have gotten theirs already..

I went over to Carrie's and helped boys clean up their rooms and bathroom... Joe went to Target and got them 2 double slip and slides to play with... when they got their chores done we brought them over here and they played in the water for a while... I go thru so much sunscreen on them- used a whole can.. but better than sunburns for sure... they had fun playing too... and it's been a month for Nicoli to be attack free... Yaay! It was pretty warm earlier but has gotten breezy so it's cooler now.. sure wish it would stay this way for awhile- don't want to start cooler any time soon... may put my window fans in the upstairs today though to blow out the hot air from the bedrooms...

I am going to make some oven baked chicken for dinner and a big salad to go with... maybe a baked tater too.... actually remembered to thaw chicken today... got out of cooking daily habit with the trip so been eating out of stashed meals.... time to cook again..

Well boys will be going home soon... so I am going to go start chicken and taters cooking... for some reason I am really hungry ....

Carol is fine, she messaged me last night.

I am glad that Teddy still has a summer program to go to and that is very kind of you with all the donations you make to those in need.

Nana you are certainly a wonderful grandma...those kids are lucky to have you.

Yesterday we spent the day working on my new garden shed grin Today is an inside clean and mop day.

Good morning. To be fair, the food I gave away yesterday was the same food that did not get to its destination a couple weeks ago. My plans were changed on me then. I am glad it is done now.
We are ready for another school day. It is a tad cooler this morning but will heat up too much throughout the day. 91* predicted.

Sorry I was MIA guys...I have been busy & then I am beat at the end of my day. I have been neglecting my friends & for that I am sorry. blush

My MIL wanted things from her apartment. Then I had to help my mother, as she has some problem with her back. She is thin, smokes and has osteoporosis. AND she insists on cleaning & such as if she were in her 30's.

No excuses just explaining.

It is Ok, Carol. We all get busy. You have weather rolling through tonight? How is your MIL?
I had an excessively busy morning and didn't slow down a lot this afternoon.
I am going to say sweet dreams to all. I have already set my alarm.

Thanks Tina. The weather--BAD storms, should be beginning around 2 am up to 7 am..then a break & they will begin again in the afternoon. I will be staying home cleaning house (I guess)

Rod took down my wind chimes & I took down my bird feeders.

I think I will leave them down for a few days for JIC...

going to bed soon..nite nite...

I have not forgotten you, Cindy. I miss you. And you are one of the few reasons I look at FB. To keep up with you.
I am up in the middle of my night foe a minute. I will go back to bed for a few hours, I hope. Sweet dreams again.
