I am so sorry, Sheri. Any vehicles damaged in that carport?

Morning,

We had a quiet morning today- Joe took Timothy to school, came back - I made pancakes and fruit for breakfast.. ,
then Joe fell asleep in the chair.. the allergies and the meds are driving him crazy... was hoping this last snow and rain would help get rid of them but no such luck so far- maybe going to AZ next weekend will break it for him..

Glad you are safe from the fires where you are right now Tina... that is scary times... hope it cools off there soon to help...

Do hope your cars were safe from the carport collapse... sorry for the flower pot but hope rest of house was okay...

Well off to get ready for rest of day...have to clean some and take out something for dinner.....

Nana

Safe travels next weekend, Nana. Is it just the two of you going or the whole passel of boys too?
We are cooling down some today. And even more tomorrow. I have not done laundry since last weekend and we have actually dirtied more than usual. So running the dryer this weekend will not heat the house too much. Blessings in small things.

Thanks Tina... no just Joe and I going - mostly to see his Mom... she isn't doing well and is in hospital right now- she was in a nursing home.. tried to get out of bed on her own and fell bruising her hip badly.. she acted up so much they won't take her back so don't know what they are going to do.. she has dementia and it has made her rather hateful I guess.. so sad.... she is mad because she can't stay at home with her son Bobby anymore but it just isn't safe for either of them- he has autisim and just doesn't always know when she needs more help than he can give... she is 96 now.. and he is 54..
We will have a visit with some more of the family that can meet up with us... won't have time to make the rounds for sure- ... it will be a quick trip.. kind of planning another trip later in summer .. maybe to Mt Rushmore.. not to far from us and a place we always wanted to see...

Well off to get my dinner .... have a good eveing all!
Nana

My car wasn't hurt. Just the carport and flower pots. Could have been worse. It's 45º this morning. 90 Wednesday and 45 today. My garden is going to be confused.

Good morning. Yo-yo thermometers seems to be the season. I am just glad our temps have dropped a bit now. Triple digits are not good times to be using my dryer. And I have bunches of laundry to do today. The taste of summer is a reminder to take care of some things before the heat really sets in.
Thank you, Carol. I am doing pretty well. Getting ready for the end of Teddy's school year on Thursday.

Good afternoon all.

The weather is warming up slowly and most of our snow is gone. I have been raking away.

Raking is good, Sunny. Are you putting in any kind of garden this year? It is a mighty short season.

Good evening.

Yes Tina, I will put in a garden this year...smaller than usual though I think. I have already bought my seed potatoes. You are right our season is so short that most items need to be planted as plants and even then it's a hit or miss if there is enough time. Although carrots, beets and turnips do wonderfully here because of the cooler temps.

What all are you planting this year Junie?

I can plant the cooler weather crops in fall through early winter here. But the critters are also mighty active here in the winter. And food crops suffer.

Sweet dreams all. I will be heading to bed very soon. This is Ted's last week of school. And only until Thursday. He will be only off for the last week of May and then start summer session on June 2nd. So a short break.

Glad to hear about the weather Tina...enjoy the time off with Teddy.

It has been raining here for days..it is damp and cool. At least it isn't snowing lol

Sounds good Junie, have you ever tried growing bell peppers?

This year I will plant potatoes, carrots, onions, yellow beans, peppers, cherry tomatoes, turnip, cukes and a pumpkin for grandgirl. I will just do smaller rows of each. Mind you, depending on what plants are out I might add a few more.

We are also doing a budget to finally make a small garden shed this year. Probably just a lean shed. Easier and cheaper to accomplish. It has been in the plans for many a years but is definately needed now with the added amount of grandgirl's outdoor toys in the big shed.

Tina--that is great about the milder weather--enjoy it while it is there...

Sunny: That is good about the rain--it should help you get rid of all of your snow, right ???

about my garden. I used to plant bell pappers every year. BUT as it gets so hot, they sorta just sit there until say late September or October. As a result I only get 1 or 2 peppers...so it is just easier to buy them it seems.

I will plant some onions in my raised flower beds though. I will eat them all while they are small green onions though..I love them in just about everything.

Good luck on the shed. I wish ours was larger--(it is 12 x 20)--it is far too small for everyhing we keep in it. Thank goodness we were able to fit a bench in the garage for my gardening things.

soon I am off to clean the church & then back home to clean my floors & vacuum the rest of the house wavy

Cleaning is what I have been doing today. I took Ted to school and stopped to fill my tank. I meant to fill it on Friday and let it slide. Glad I did because gas came down about 7 cents over the weekend. Only paid $3.99 today. I also stopped at Walmart for gift cards to give to Ted's teachers. Glad that is out of the way.

Church cleaned, Bills paid, errands run, floors swept & scrubbed twice. All rugs washed. I had to stop since it was time to cook supper & now I have to make a trip to the funeral home for a friend of mine from ceramics.

I guess I will vacuum tomorrow.

Guess it was time to go.
He was a very clean livin man.
Mowed lawn this morning. Planted a row in the garden.
Went for a walk to sooth my lazy muscles.
Had to rake or (Sweep) my grass, its been sooooooooo high with all the rain.

Now I am pooped.

Good Morning from me as well.

I think you are right, Tina. We all were busy yesterday.

Today I must go get Rod's car license sticker. Then I have more cleaning to do----Does the cleaning ever end ?--(Sadly, I know the answer to that)

Are you cleaning for an event, Carol?
I got Ted to school and stopped to shop for 4 things. I came back with much more than the 4 things on my list but it is all good. I also need to think about the fewer trips out over the next week plus while Ted is on vacation.

Not really, Tina. Since Dante is gone now, I "really" need to clean up where he was living. That it coinsides with the holiday week-end is a happy accident.

Aww, I am sorry, Carol. I know you miss him. I know you gave him a long and love-filled life.
Black Butt is still with us. But if he gets much worse or loses control of his bladder or something like, I will be making decisions. Meanwhile, when it is cool enough, he rides along to take Ted to school in the cool mornings. He loves to ride.
Ted and I are home for the day. The graduating class of his school "walked" today. Tomorrow is the last day. I took in cookies and fruit juice boxes for Ted to share tomorrow.

Thanks Tina...

That your "puppy" can get in the car to go for a ride is a good sign. Dante could not even do that any longer...he loved to ride as well.

You are a good Mommy, Tina. I am sure that Ted smiles when you do things like that for his class...

Yes, Butt is still able to jump the 32 inches up to the van seat and he jumps into bed with Ted every night. That bed is 30 inches tall. But he is slower than he used to be and and thinks about each jump carefully.
Today, when I brought Teddy home from school, both the dog and the cat were sleeping on Ted's bed. So fun.

I bet it is just as much fun for Ted as it is for them.

Glad to hear that Butt is still able to jump up where he wants. BUT then I guess you could always buy or make him "doggie steps".

Dante` had a ramp that went from our deck to the ground. He quickly learned to go down it, but would not go up it--strange.
