Good night, Carol! I had a pretty good day. Lots of driving. Picked up my prescription and my running belt and went into work for a meeting. Bought some reinforcements at the grocery store to get me through my long days with no lunch.

Good morning! Got the coffee warming up and have nothing planned today other than laundry. The rain is back which is kind of sad after the gorgeous week we just had. Rain is normal this time of year though.

Good morning. I was up at 3:30 this morning for a couple of hours but went back to bed for a couple more hours of sleep. It was good and cool. It is to be about 5-10 degrees cooler today and that is a good thing. I am not ready for summer yet.
Laundry for the day is done. On to the next thing.

Thanks for sending the sun Tina, my snow is melting slowly but surely.

I am glad it is going away, Sunny. I would have difficulties living in a hard winter area any more.

Evening All!
I feel like I have missed out the last few days.
I have been so busy with the girls and getting the outside cleared for fire safety, my husband has been hauling of the old clunkers and Junkers that have been on our property for longer than I have lived here. My husband loves to collect cars and I think in all of our 8 acres the only thing more abundant than cars are the weeds. We are getting a new roof for our house as well. spring time is the season for improvement for us.
Hope everyone is doing well.

It is a very busy time of year. I live snug up to national forest land in SoCal. Fires are my worst fear. So I spend a lot of time clearing as much brush away as I am allowed. Good going on getting yours squared away, Annie.

Afternoon all,

Well my grandson is moving back in with his Mom and stepdad,, he is going to go to college starting next month and they are closer to it... we are officially empty nesters again.... LOL!

I got the laundry done- last load of car towels and rugs in washer ready to go out on line... was 85* here today.... nice! while laundry was finishing up I cleaned the bathroom part and cleaned out the closet in there too... just have the floor left to do... dusted the living room and vacummed the floors... will do the family room and office tomorrow and house will be done for awhile... also washed some of the windows .. have to have help with them- they open in for easy cleaning but you have to be taller than me to do it.... Joe washed the Tahoe this morning , and then went down and cleaned up the basement area .. vacummed it out.. put all the stuff we had moved other places back down there... now I have to start cleaning out that stuff... he will fight me on some of it but it is going .....

Well have to fold the clothes and get car towels out on line- and think about something for dinner... think I will bake some fish and make baked taters to go with... maybe some biscuits or cornbread too... and a big salad... got to lose some of this weight , we need to go to Az the end of the month and it will be really hot by then...

Have a good evening all.... !

Nana

Your fish and taters sound good, Nana. but we've already eaten. It was bedding time here today and I ended up with another load of clothes. My older son added some of his to the hamper. Although we wear smaller and thinner clothing in hot weather, we wear more of it. It equals up to more laundry.
Nail trimming and bathing/showering is done. I think we are ready for the new school week again.

Hi everyone wavy

I am back home, got here last night. Then today we had cake & soda with my MIL to celebrate her 94th birthday as her oldest son & his wife were down visiting.

Then tonight Rod grilled some porksteaks & I made some potatoes & salad for supper. Emily, chris & Luke came to visit their Aunt & Uncle as well....So I got some "Luke" time.

Good morning all.

Cheryl, taking new meds is hard...the side effects can last for weeks or longer. Hoping it sorts itself out soon.

I can't believe that Nana is officially an 'empty nester'.

Tina, laundry is never ending it seems..no matter if it is cold or hot lol

I am so glad you got time with both grandbabies Carol, I wonder what Luke will think of the new baby when he sees him?

Sun is shining..grand daughter is still here, but slowly getting better. This Gastro bug really hit her hard.

Did you come home to a mess, Carol?
It has been a busy morning here also. I got Ted to school then stopped at the grocery store and my monthly trip to Walmart. Got home and put all of that away. I don't like to go to WM too often. Once a month is enough if they have enough of Ted's nutrition drinks. They did today.

Hi all,

Been cleaning our basement and have boys today- Derek had a bad night last night... but he wanted to come here so he got up...didn't make school so that will happen tomorrow...they had a big weekend , a cousin had his first communion and party- then the next day his aunt was doing a 3 k for cancer research... Timothy wanted to do it too and so spent the night with his other grandparents.. Derek volunteered he wanted to do it and to and spent the night there too- first time ever at their house- this is a big step for him... next weekend they are spending the night here when Timothy has his sleepover with his friends for his birthday- on Sat then on Sun we are doing a bbq to celebrate with the family- making tater salad for that...

Well off to get Nicoli busy doing school- finally feels well enough to do that... so have to get him to do as much as he can today... and think about something for dinner... maybe a ravioli or spaghetti...

Have a good day all!

Nana

Good afternoon everyone. Worked my part time job and got someone to cover me at my full time job today. Not feeling so hit and hoping to hear from my doc today. I have a feeling they're not in on Monday. We'll see. I have a single serve frozen lasagna to eat for dinner tonight. If I'm hungry enough to eat it. This nausea is the pits.

Just got back from eating supper with my in-laws. It was a nice time out visiting with them. They are headed back to Ohio tomorrow so they can regroup & then go to their son's house Mother's day weekend so as to see thier grands in a play.

I guess I should speak to my youngest DD & find out what I am doing for Mother's day, huh ???

Cheryl wonder if you have a stomach virus. It went around and around here for a while.

Sunday is Shelley's birthday. It happens every 12 years that her birthday is on Mother's Day.

yes I did. Rod did wash all the dishes he dirtied But he did not really clean up the kitchen floor up well from when our dog went bathroom while he was gone to work each day. He called me while I was visiting Valarie & complained to me & continued this tirade when I got home. So I just looked at him & said "yea I know" I have been doing that 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for a long time now.
a short while later he called Emily (dante is really her dog) & they spoke so now Dante has an appt to be put down the 17th, as they are not open this Saturday. This is Dante's 16th year & he is not doing well, plus on top of everthing else he cannot see as well as he did before I left for Valarie's.

The WM that I used to go to did me a favor. A while back they turned it into a super wm and then re-did the parking lot to accomodate more cars. so now, even with my smaller car I feel like one takes their own life into their hands by trying to park there (& then leave) so when I do go to a wal-mart I go to the one to the north & that is not so often. Target is higher priced but I feel better about going there.

Cheryl---providing you can give up your meds, you need to remove yourself on a schedule--just going off of them is NOT a good idea.
And FYI: it took my brother changing meds at least 5 times to find the right one. so do not get discouraged. and some people even have to take a combination of meds. My suggestion would be to go back to your Dr & talk to him/her.

also it took 6 months of being on one of my bone medications before the side effects went away.

Good morning.

I am glad you have a nice Mother's Day planned Tina...How old is Ted now?

I agree, don't give up on your meds Cheryl. It took me a few tries before I finally felt a bit better. The side affects are still there but get better with time. It's very discouraging, trust me...I know. kissie

So sad about Dante.

They are turning one of our WM's into a super one as well. Luckily for us we have one 45 minutes West as well as East. It's the same distance for either one. We already have enough grocery stores in town, losing item space for grocery space is not going to be a good thing.

Cleaning day today.

Good morning. Ted turned 20 on Saturday, Sunny. I don't have any teenagers any more. It feels weird.
I am so sorry about Dante, Carol. I am losing my 14 year old dog as well. Have been nursing him along and saying good bye. It is sad.

Thanks about Dante everyone. It is Tuesday & I have nothing else planned until this afternoon. I was going to ceramics but now I think I will switch cleaning church time to this morning & then go have lunch with the girls instead in the afternoon.
Dante was soaking wet this morning so I sent him out & then gave him a bath when he came back in.
Rod thinks the arthritis is so bad that once he is lying down for a long period he cannot easily get up. he used to be able to wait until somoene helped him up--that is not the case now. about a month ago I took him back to the Vet & asked that he be taken off of his predisone & put on arthritis meds but the vet said no--mainly because the prednisone makes him hungry & he will still eat. I should have argued with him more. I think the meds have played havoc with his urinary system. (he has been on them for years)
I also had to clean all of the kitchen floor again.

Tina, I am so sorry about your dog as well. (I remember his name) You know I completely understand.

Afternoon,

I couldn't get here earlier today... don't know what the problem was but it's fixed now... I am so sorry about Dante , it is so hard to make that decision- still feel it from when we had to let our Shadow go ... yrs ago... and your furry child too Tina... it's hard to know for sure when it's time..

It's been a quiet day for us today- Joe's allergies just slammed him- he took the boys to school and back but slept most of the rest of the time... trying to get him to try and different med but he is stubborn...maybe he will go to store when he gets back from taking his truck in ... got and estimate on fixing the exhast.... it will wait till next month...

Yes Nana prayers from me as well.

Why not post in the prayers thread. I think more people will see the post there & so then respond to it.

Tina, I have similar surroundings and it is one of my biggest fears as well. I got my bed 100% assembled today. This weekend is my birthday weekend and I will be filling the bed and planting, as well as a much needed date night. I also noticed that my morning glories are coming up and my sweet marjoram is sprouting as well, I was worried both sets of seeds would not produce. Nana empty nest??? How are you feeling about that and as usual your dinner sounds delicious.

If I traveled to the end of the rainbow As Dame Fortune did intend, Murphy would be there to tell me The pot's at the other end.

Good morning all, thanks for whomever keeps sending the sun. Fingers crossed that my snow is gone within a week or two.
