I had to pick up grandbaby yesterday, Gastro virus is going around and it hit her hard. She needed Grammie to make her better

It's almost time to get breakfast and go get the boys... the wind just started again here- blew hard last night- kept me awake for a while.... sure playing havoc with allergies...

Glad to see you are safe Cindy... always good when roof it still there... so many lives have been affected already this year with mother nature's temper tantrums...

Poor baby... Sunny hope she feels better soon-- sometimes only grandmas can make it better... I know the boys always want my chicken soup when they don't feel well...

I too hope Carol is fine and just enjoying new baby time....

Well off to get breakfast and get to Carrie's for the boys... evidently Derek didn't sleep so may be there for awhile,,,,

This is Valarie typing for my mom. She is fine and wasn't home for the bad weather though her house is fine. At our place things never got bad really, just a lot of rain, thankfully.

Mom tried to log in but my laptop won't let her. I am posting this with my cell phone since so many were concerned for her. She has been spending the week helping me with baby Henry and letting me get in a nap here and there.

She says to let you all know that she'll be home Sunday.

Oh, thank you very much for the news, Valarie. And congrats! I am glad the bad stuff missed you.
It was a very warm day here. About 80* with 80 mph winds. But it was closer to 97* down in town. There is a good sized fire south of me but the winds are blowing in the opposite direction. So for the time being, we are good here.
Dinner tonight is leftovers.

Had a quiet day with the boys.. was to chilly and cloudy to go outside till just before 4 oclock... sun came out and wind finally died down - boys took advantage and played out front for a while... Derek even went out and he doesn't feel very well.. the booster shot he got yesterday made him feel crappy...

We went to subway and had them make dinner for us tonit.. couldn't think of anything I really wanted to make ..
thinking tomorrow I will put a roast chicken in crock pot, we will have the morning free so may just go somewhere and take a walk or something..

Well I am going to head to bed soon... with the wind I haven't slept very well and I am getting very sleepy already... sure ready for the weather to warm up ... supposed to hit 80 here next week...

We are getting rain again, flurries for tonight. Hoping it doesn't amount to much....we've been hit with a foot of flurries a few times

Errands today...and it seems that Grandbaby 'needs' to go shopping. That good old dollar store is calling out her name

Good morning. Another hot and windy day here. We are to drop 30 degrees, back to normal in a few days. Just a taste of summer.

In for a bit as both Henry and Valarie are napping. We are running some errands today and it is Finally sunny out today, though. yay !
Thanks to everyone for the well thoughts. As val said it was mild here, Though there was a storm chasing vehicle at an area about 3 miles from our house while the storms were going on.

Sunny. I am glad that your grand baby is feeling better too ...you gotta love the dollar store.

It is good to see you, Carol. If you said somewhere that you were going to be gone for the week, i missed it. After the storm news, I worried a bit. So very nice of Val to update us and to see you too.

I got Ted to school, shopped, came home and set up my budget for this month. I am about to stop one more place before picking Ted up from school.

We had a good day too.. shopped some- went to Carrie's and stayed till Jon came home early -poor Nioli had an attack starting last night and it's still happening- but it is lessening... this time was 8 days between so the time between is getting longer but this attack came on with no warning... he did get down some soup and crackers so hopefully that means it is ending ....

Derek went to school today... they had the sex education classes today... he didn't like it much cause it was the whole 5th grade but he handled it well and was okay with it... so it was a good day for him...

We finally warmed up today... and had less wind which was really nice... still not as warm as it should be but sunny is nice after so many cloudy days... Joe is going to bbq some burgers tonit... going to make some oven roasted red taters to go with them... and make a big salad... just got some salad size sweet tomatoes to go in it.. and cukes.. just sounds good to me..... I must be hungry....

Well I am going to go start my taters and make the burgers up.... get him cookin

Hey everyone. Working two jobs is proving to be a little tough. My feet ache but I'll get used to it. I pick up a new prescription tomorrow which will hopefully make feel better and give me more energy.

Good luck, Cheryl. Are you liking your second job at all?

I'm liking it ok. It's a lot to learn.

Your family is lucky to have you, Nana. I hope they know that.

Possibly my last day here.

I have some sun to spare. Been in the 80's the last couple days. Broke the record yesterday. It's never this hot this early in the season. I'm afraid it means we're in for a hit summer. I have errands to run today. Gotta pick up my prescription and take it to the pharmacy to fill it. Then I have to drive 30 minutes into the city to pick up my running belt that I left at a friends. Then I have to go to a work meeting. Then I can finally come home and relax.

I have been pushing 90* here and about 100* on my trips to town to Ted's school. I have used the a/c in my van.
But we are to get more normal mid 70's this next week beginning tomorrow, I think.
