Here's the scarf that I knitted. My first finished project

Here's the baby blanket I made. It was was a hit and I got a lot of compliments.

Here's the diaper cake we gave her. I over saw the process but the residents of my work were the ones that put it together overall.[Linked Image]

The blanket is really lovely, Cheryl. The cake is cute and will come in handy with all of the baby decor tied to it.
I love the color of your scarf. Is it as soft as it looks?

Tina had a good question---is it as soft as it looks...I just love a sopft neck scarf--If it is soft, it keeps you warm AND it feels good. shewinks
It is super nice esp. for a first project.

I have already commneted on the blanket.

My Youngest DD, and her 2 cousins gave my oldest DD, Valarie, a baby shower this last weekend. While she got many hand knit or crocheted items, she did not get a diaper cake--I esp. love the extra items that were put into it. That makes it esp. nice. thumbup

Thanks for sharing that photo as well...

Cher
How long does it take to knit a soft scarf?
I hate a cold neck in the winter.. I crocheted scarfs to wear.. Love them.

Seems like if the neck is cold the whole body is.

Some folks don't even wear a hat.. Ugg.. I do

I need to walk to get the Mail an go to the garage, so I don't brave it without.
Neighbor lady blows her drive an wears them also.. I think she is 75??

It is super soft, I love it. It took me about 4-5 weeks but I'm slow, new to knitting, and that was difficult yarn. Plus I have a full time job. Once I really got going, though, the second half went much faster than the first half. I got a really great compliment on the baby blanket by the baby to he's grandmother. She told the momma to be that that blanket was something she'd have to hand down to her kids someday. I thought that was a really good compliment.

Yes, it is a wonderful compliment, Cheryl, and a true statement.
