A new one for a new day. We can be a cheering squad for Carol's Embroidery project.
I woke about a half hour early today. It will be a good day.

Good morning! Having my coffee and waking up. I always stay in bed a little while after I wake up because one of the dogs cuddles with me and it's nice and warm and cozy. I have the house to myself this weekend. My brother and his gf are going to her dad's place. My baby blanket was a hit. She loved it and everyone complimented me on it. Made me feel good as it's only my second knitting project. Off to watch a little tv. Have a great day!

I was able to get on my computer and post my knitting projects in hobbies, if anyone hasn't seen them yet. Almost time to get ready for work.

I saw them immediately. Very good work, Cheryl. I learned to knit young but not very well. Being left handed was a detrimental thing for me and knitting. I was a whiz with crochet though.
I am in for the day and mostly for the next couple of weeks. Teddy goes back to school April first.

I completed the laundry except for folding the last load. And both bathrooms are cleaned up and shiny. The cat's personal space is cleaned up and ready for him. Trying to decide what is for dinner tonight.

yep..all told I embroidered 10 & 1/2 hrs. today. sad thing is I could have worked at least 3 more hrs. But I did thigns around the house instead.

The tractor & guy sitting on it is done now--well all except fot the steering wheel. That is to be a satin stitch, so it will take a while to do. I will work as much again tomorrow on my crib quilt.

and oh !! I found out for sure why this is taking so long. The X's ARE stamped too close together,,,well at least they are closer than they were in my other blankets.
When I did the spoke designs of the tractor wheels I got done quickly---& then I saw that the X's on them were not as close together--& so now I know what is going on here. rolz zoink

It is looking like I will not be done by next Saturday. Perhaps I will take it to show her & bring it back home to finish. why I KNOW for a fact that I can get it done by the time "Henry" is born.

G'night everyone--sweet dreams

Don't stress over it, Carol. You do need breaks from the needlework. And I think taking and showing what has been done so far is a good way to do it.
I did go to bed. I am back up for a bit before going back. My sinuses were filling and need to sit to drain.

And good morning. I woke with no sinus problems this morning. I have mild allergies that get to me once in awhile. Today is to be a hot one before cooling back off to a more normal temp for the rest of the week.

Good morning! Making my coffee before I finish cleaning up the house before my brother gets home tonight. I did some of the cleaning yesterday so I don't have too much to do on my only day off. Carol, that is a lot of work, it's good to take breaks.

I washed a boatload of towels we used this week. I've done dishes and cleaned up generally around the house. I need to figure out dinner and get it defrosted and/or started. Freezer roulette, close my eyes and reach in. The first thing I touch is tagged for dinner.

Freezer roulette, I love it. I've got the floors cleaned, dishes done, trash and recycle taken out, and my laundry is finishing up in the dryer.

I pulled out a couple pounds of hamburger. So it is in the crock, gently browning with some onions. I will toss in veggies and decide what to do with it later. It could end up as a shepherd's pie or a tamale pie or just seasoned and tossed on top of baked potatoes with some cheese.
I love having lots of options. But I am suffering a little food fatigue. It all sounds good but not so much after I've labored over a dish. Then food anyone else has prepared begins to sound better. Even if it isn't better than I can do. We have not been out to eat for months.

Thanks ladies...I have come to the realization that while I can finish the inside design of the quilt, I know I cannot get the outside done, nore can I get the back on--so I will do what I can and then give it to her unfinished.
I will then take it back home & take it to her finished when she has had her baby.

Freezer roulette--sounds like a good idea to me. and fun too.

Thanks I think so too. The good thing is she has already gotten several shower gifts from me at her first shower, so she is not expecting anything at this shower. So no matter when she gets this it wil lbe an extra gift.

Good Morning &

"Happy St Patrick's Day" to you all

Barb... We had a cat take off and 6 months lat4er he came walking across the pasture. We have long thought he went up to a neighbvor lady who was known for taking in strays & lived inside until he could "escape" to come back home. Carrot could come back yet.

Good morning and Happy St. Patricks Day. I'm up and showered and having my coffee. I'm thinking oatmeal for breakfast today. With some brown sugar and maple syrup. I have an appointment today, then it's back to work. At least next weekend I'll get two days off.

Yes, I am thinking they must be feeding him too, Barb.. after all You have a barn for him too right ??? I know many people feed their barn cats in the barn to help keep them around the barn. Carrot must like their offerings...OR their female cats... cat why

Hope you get it too Cheryl....

I brought boys back over here so I could get the call about my dryer delivery... it's been delayed for 2 days... we will need to take clothes to Carrie's to dry again... but since I was delayed I get a 50 dollar gift card for my trouble... so I guess I will live with it.. especially since I don't have a choice.. it was warm today so I could have dried them outside but it is so windy- 50mph+ that I decided not to try and hang anything out- they would have blown away...

We are still working on the retiring early... sure hope it works out.. have appointment next week to talk to financial guy again and turn in papers for it...I think if he has to keep working it will be the death of Joe-he is so stressed, they have cut the work force so much already and now they want 39 more people to go... since we came here almost 20 years ago they have done this over and over and now each person is doing the work 7 people used to do...

I am cheering for you to Carol... that is a lot of embroidery work to do.. good plan to give it to her in progress and finish it before baby is born...

well off to go meet Timba and bring him over for a while too...

Nana

Yes, Nana, I too hope the early retirtement works out for Joe. That would be one less thing to worry about..

I hope the boys are doing well.

Thanks about the Quilt as well.

I took a photo of my progress tonight. Tomorrow evening I will post it in....so everyone can see how I am doing. I DO feel so much less stressed now that I have made the decision to just take it, show her & bring it back home to finish it. Bless you all for being her to cheer me on. It is truly appreciated.

I wish everyone sweet dreams.

I get to go to ceramics tomorrow---YAY !!!
