Looking to get an early start on the marigolds indoors.

I have a germination try that comes with a plastic lid dome, a heat mat, a thermometer to keep check on the soil temperature, and a shop light.

I did a trial run with four pods and put three seeds in it. A week later and nothing was happening so I got in there to see if the seeds were doing anything and they weren't doing a thing. I had them on he heat mat under the dome with a temp between 75-80. They had no light on them and they were on my kitchen counter.

Marigolds need light to germinate. It can even be a sunny window. Keep the soil moist but not wet and in 7 days you should see something start to happen.

That sounded a little bit bossy didn't it. Sorry. That's certainly not set in stone. Just my take on marigolds.

That didn't sound Bossy to me, Sheri. And to my notion the info is sound.
