We are having a spring like day too but it's a Rocky Mtn spring.. we may get snow tonight and a lot colder- it's 61 right now... poor Timothy who just got over a nasty virus is having allergies from all the wind we had.. he just can't win...

We have all 3 boys here today... Nicoli couldn't wake up again to go to school... I had the thought today that maybe he has some form of mono... he went to bed at 8 last night and slept till noon today... and still didn't want to get up yet... I made him get up and he is okay now but this is how his attacks start he gets super tired first... so I hope it wasn't that ...

Joe is cooking burgers for dinner tonit.. I will make a pasta salad in a little while and that will be dinner... I am tired today... so going to hit my bed early tonit...

Well off to start the noodles... have a good day all!

Nana

I made dirty rice and it is in the crock keeping warm. I have plenty to serve along with it too.
We have had warm weather for quite a while. I do like it but, if I could get some rain, I would take some cold with it.

Carol is better today but not the "much" part. I was hoping to improve as much between yesterday and today as I did the day before yesterday abd yesterday. THAT did not happen, and to top it off Rod is home sick today as well. So glad I did not take him up on his offer to stay home monday & take care of me. He is so sick that he is sleeping as I type.

See you all later

it looked bad here but flew by in about 10 minutes. The winds were very bad for a few hours but I think they are better now.

I am doing better as well. Thanks for the kind words. As I told Rod, I do not feel bad I just do not feel good.

He thinks he is going to work tomorrow, poor guy---he should not be going...

Sweet dreams all. Hopefully, I will sleep better tonight.

Good Morning!

I am feeling much better, not right yet, but better even than yesterday.

\Rod DID go to work today and he even offered to bring supper home--he said I could think on it & let him know at noon. Even if I felt great, just what is there to think about.... idea

The bad part i s, my DD called me early this morning. My Grandson is sick & she wanted me to come & watch him so he di dnot have to be taken out to the sitters. WEll, I could not do that but I am feeling guilty. Good news is, "Momma" only has to work a half day & dad was able to stay home so really I guess all in all it was ok--but still grandma feels bad about it.

Grandma is missing her Luke time. But it is probably for the best. If you do not have the same thing as your grandson does, you do not want to share.
I got my son to school and stopped to shop for the weekend needs. I probably bought too much. But I don't want to run out for last minute things if I can help it.
When I go out to pick the kid up after school, I will fill my tank.

Afternoon all....

Was up and about early again today... went to Carrie's to stay and maybe take Derek to school.. he didn't go so stayed and cleaned up the kitchen for her... Nicoli's neurologist apt was today.. they do think it's the abdominal migraines , but did bloodtests too and he is scheduled for an EEG to rule out epilepsy... it would be very rare if it was that but she wants to be through.. he has to be sleep deprived for it... poor kid - we either starve him for tests or won't let him sleep... but she said if we can trigger an attack the test will really show what is going on hopefully..

We have wind again today.. and it is chilly... making stew for dinner in crock pot... getting really tired of the wind every day-... it ripped the bbq cover right off of it last night and it had 2 bricks helping hold it down- so moved grill over closer to house... keep finding odd trash can lids in our backyard.. we have our house number on ours but no one else seems to do that... found a tarp yesterday... nice one too but no way to tell where it came from...

Well off to go brown the beef and peel some taters ... then need to get the vacuum out and mop the kitchen - Derek's dog left paw prints on the floor yesterday...

Feel better Carol- I am finally feeling almost normal now... if it would warm up I would quit hurting so much... but that will happen...

Nana

Poor derek & Nicoli. They seem to have more troubles. I hope that all is soon solved for them so they can just get on with being happy heathy little boys.

Glad that you are feeling almost better too, Nana. I am proud to say that I have been up since 2:30 a.m. & I feel just fine-----I think when I was up tomorrow I may call me all well.

I am glad you are better, Carol.
I, too, wish Nicoli and Derek can find happy places in their health.
I did fill my tank and have Teddy home from school now. We are in for the day and hopefully in for the weekend. I do still have meat to divide up in meal sized portions. Maybe later.

Thanks Tina. I am glad that you are both home safe & sound. Enjoy your weekend. Rod is bringing me Supper bless him, so now I can rest...I have caught up on some washing and the dishes. I have also made Rod's bed up all fresh so he can rest when he comes home.

Still coughting & blowing accasionally but that is ok by me, when I think of how sick I was...

Only 26 days 4 hours and 50 minutes until spring begins!
I just hope, with all of this snow, it comes slowly and doesn't create awful floods.
And I hope we get some spring rains here.

yes, I inderstand that one. just barely north of here they are calling for possible floods as the snow melted. We have none anylonger but just an hour or so up the highway they do yet. To say the groung is soggy here in an understatement.

perhaps if the weather holds I can get out on Sunday & get some of my flower beds ready for planting this spring.

I have seeds to sew... shewinks

I think the rest of that snow will slow down in the melting. I see another polar thing is heading to cover the midwest and east.
Sweet dreams all. I know it is a Friday night but I'm tired.

well great, just what I wanted to hear....NOT !
But it will be what it will be.
A "New guy on the block" when it comes to meteorologists said last night that "people will not mind this next blast of cold, it is after all still February"
That boy should be sat down & severly talked to. teach
It is one thing to get the cold, we do after all live in the mid-west and we should expect it, but to tell me I should not mind it ???... nono

Switched sides of the bed with my DH last night. He said he cannot take the register blowing on him at night on that side. Well, I didnot notice any difference, but it will take some getting used to sleeping on a differnt side. The "experiment" will continue again tonight...

Good morning. It does take time to make an adjustment like that, Carol. I hope it goes well.
Today will be laundry and some cooking for the week ahead. Everyone keep safe and warm this week.

I grocery shopped and filled my tank yesterday.
Today I did the laundry and have been cooking for the week ahead. Portioning meat into meal sized packages for freezing. And eating pumpkin pie for breakfast.
I made up the next six month batch of laundry detergent too. Teddy had fun pouring in various cups of ingredients.
I am also considering a nap.

I never did get my nap. I had a rough afternoon as a result.

I may well go to bed soon...well, as soon as I can think to myself that Dante can last the rest of the night w/o going outside again.

Sweet Dreams Everyone wavy

Carol, that's what everyone is saying around here - they get sick, then after a while feel a little better - then it comes back and they feel worse than the first time.

I think I'm finally over it. Maybe I just needed a nice spring day. it was beautiful here today and I was in the yard all day long. I've heard that snow is coming again though.

Boy Nana, I sure hope they can figure out Nicoli's issue and get him on the road to recovery.

I am sorry you are down again, Carol. I really want you to get well quickly.
I am glad you are feeling better, Sheri. I am still watching your weather for the week. And not paying attention to precipitation so much as how cold it will be. Brrrr.

Thanks Sheri & Tina. And Sheri I too am glad that you feel better now a days. I hope I do too soon.

I have just gotten a call from a friend of mine. her MIL has passed away. This is the one, who has 2 daughters, who are best friends with MY daughters. Val has just let me know that she will be at the funeral. It just so happens that the day of the funeral is a day that my other DD works so I do not know if she can get off to come or not....BUT no one is staying here as they do not wish to expose themselves to us.

Thanks on both counts, Tina. This lady was in her lower 80's to uppper 90's. So at least it was not a shock. But still a few of my DD's freinds have lost their Grandma & a man his Momma, so it is sad. I will be glad if I can help them.

This will make me clean up Val's room here though. I just threw all the "extra" items from this room in there when we put up the crib, so I really have to get it cleaned---If not next week, it will be used in 2 weeks when Val & Brian come down for Valarie's baby shower.

It seems to always be something.

Yes, there is always something that needs cleaning or straightening or sorting.
I am waiting on one thing and then I can go to bed.

A lady in our church died yesterday so we have funeral stuff this week too Carol.

I have something to tell you guys that I think is just wrong. A man Johnny has known all his life, 50 something years old, 2 children, wife, job, house, church goer, for whatever reason decided about 3 years ago to start using crack cocaine. Why in the world would an adult man do that? Dumb [BLEEP] is all I can think. His wife has tried to deal with it and in the last year he either quit or got fired from his job, his children are old enough to be aware that their dad is using crack, and he's now taking the house money for his habit. He refused to leave so the kids could stay in their house so she got an apartment and she and the kids left the other day. They have a newer model car and an old truck and he pitched such a fit that she had taken the "good" car that she took it back and got the old truck. Now he has gotten an attorney to take his case and sue her for alimony. I'm thinking that attorney must think he has a chance because if he doesn't win the case there's no way he can afford to pay an attorney because he has no job. I can't believe this.

That is a sad case, Sheri. It is playing out all over the country. I am sorry.
Good morning. Happy Monday to all. I am ready for the week ahead, I think.

Yes, that IS a sad case. It seems more and more. The less you try the more you are rewarded for it. It is a very sad commentary on our society now days. That should be an open & shut case. with the woman getting what she needs to raise the kids, and w/o interfearance from the ne're do well father.

I have plenty to do today. First I will change around our tables in the bedroom. All Rod can say is how HE does not have access to his radio, his flashlight & his remote to the sleep number. Does anyone want to tell me why we should have changed over all those items just for an experiment ??

So, today, I will change things. THEN, if in a week he is still wanting to keep it all this way, we can move my jewelry chest to my 'new' side of the bed.
That is too heavy an item to move just for a week or so.

Then I think I will start on Val's room. BUT I do need to go buy a sympathy card & get it in the mail.

Good thing supper will be easy.
