The suspense is over......and two months early!!! My wife saw them this evening, and it caused me, in my excitement, to split my head open and have to go to the ER to get the gash glued shut.......MY HUMMERS HAVE ARRIVED!!! My family saw one or possibly two this afternoon, so I quickly changed the nectar in my feeders, gashed my head open with my mixing bowl, and went to the ER. While I was gone they started using the feeder, which means they'll be here for the WHOLE Summer. From my daughter's description it appears to be a female, probably one of the four that I had last Summer. Hummers ALWAYS return to the same feeders that they use year after year and new ones find the feeders each year.

I sorry to hear that you hurt yourself but I'm glad the hummers are back. They are such facinating birds to watch.

I got a glimpse of it myself today. I'll look at it better later.
