I've just started the beginning of my 2014 Patio Garden, wish me luck, we've had a very very mild Winter so far, here it is 5 days from Christmas and it's 76* outside. XD

Just today, I decided to get my hands in the dirt, so... I planted a couple seeds.

Bartlett Pears, Gala Apples, Sugar Baby Watermelon, Chicago Gray Watermelon, Tea, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Onions, Broccoli, Habanero peppers, Jalapenos, Bell peppers, Green Beans, Sweet Peas, Squash, Chiles Verde, Cilantro, Rosemary, Oregano, Sweet Basil, Catnip and some Asclepias.

I think I have too large a seed collection... >.>;

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.

My dad, who would grow a pretty large garden, would quite often have to replant some of his first plants, seeds, etc. But he would do it every year, as it often does work to start early. You just have to be ready to replant some things & just accept it as part of the process....I DO wish you luck !!

You know, Sheri--you are right---I am assuming that these seedlings will get transplanted to a garden off of the patio at the right time ???

You know, for the trees, I expect to be in a home where I have the necessary space to provide them a healthy environment. As for the other plants, they fit snugly, but well, onto my patio. My main priority goes to my watermelons, which I have had great success with in the past as potted plants, surprisingly.
