Your rant did not scare me away. I had lots to say about it. But then I would have been getting into politics and other things not really allowed. So I went back to my regularly scheduled program. snooz I took a nap.

lol Thanks so much. Naps are a good thing to do.

I got my tire warrenty straightened out today, & then did a little shopping. I had intended to go to Michaels, but when I came out of a store, it was raining & so I just went home---which was good as I soon had to go to my MIL's & fix up her pills.

Supper is over, & now I am wondering what there is good on TV tonight...

I spent the day running... groceries, turkey day supplies.. bone density test... got results of my blood work- were mostly good so now I just need to work on losing weight ..... picked up Derek at school... brought Nicoli here to hang out with us for another 5 min or so.. they take turns it seems with one on one with us... Joe wants to grill burgers for dinner so I don't have to cook- ... good thing cause my body knows when weather is changing before it does and I am achy... may go take a nice hot bath to see if I can feel better..

I agree with you to Carol... we lost big time from our retirement.. it has taken a lot of doing without the last few yrs to make it up as much as we could and then last yr we took it all out and invested with our financial planner ... with what we have made now and his retirement pension we will be okay... best move we ever made... but I can't get the hate out of my heart for the guy who bought in Qwest from US West and then sold out all the employees as fast as he could- he went to jail but he still has the money he ripped off from all of us... and then has the nerve to claim he has found God and is a lay preacher... if he was truly sorry he would give us all our money back...... okay my rant is over now too! LOL!

Well off to see what else I can get done before it's time to shut down... ignoring the mess in my office- seems like it never gets clean anymore... maybe it will be my project for tomorrow- supposed to snow so will be a good inside job to do..

Have a good evening all,

Nana

Turkey day supplies--I need to do that--guess I should make up a list, huh???

Very happy that you are able to retire soon, Sherri. I am happy for you. I am so sorry you got "taken" as it were. That guy sounds like "something else" for sure. I will hope that you get your $$ back one day--that would be a nice windfall for you.

There are so many pension stories out there. I am sorry, Nana that yours got tangled up with one of them.
Sweet dreams all. I am getting ready to find my bed shortly. It is cold and supposed to rain tonight and definitely tomorrow. I bless the rain but not the cold so much.

Evening,

I am not planning on ever getting that money back .. he had to pay fines but I think it was about 250 dollars we got back, we lost about 100,000.. not exactly even... and his wife has most of the money cause he was allowed to put in in her name along with their 6 homes around the world... he will get his someday.......

I am glad we can see the light at the end of the tunnel now too- it's been a long time coming.....

We are supposed to get snow tonit- its already getting very cold out here... hopefully we won't have to much on the ground in the morning.... I know we need it for the water ... but it sure makes me miserable while it is here...

I have to go thru the 96 page insurance notebook tomorrow... hope I can figure it out and choose correctly for the best plan for us.... not looking fwd to it at all...

Sleep well all,

Nana

That is a LOT of money to lose. You have my complete sympathies.

Insurance---Lordy---I DO NOT look forward to ever having to look for insurance. I hope by the time Rod retires, it will be all worked out & we will have an easier time of it. why

G'nite to you all. Sweet Dreams

Hello. It is pouring outside. Originally they said it was going to drizzle. Ha! But we need the rain and the snow in the mountains so I will not complain. It means we will have water for the next year, hopefully.

Great pouring rain---I hope it does not do that here tomorrow---Forcasters said that we will get rain today and tomorrow-

I hate to drive in heavy traffic in heavy rain & I have to go to my DD tomorrow to watch my grandson.

Raining here now, but not heavy...I am going to my sister's this morning. This afternoon I have to get my Oldest DD's room ready for her---I think she is spending the weekend here with us, as we are all going to my MIL's assisted living's Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday.

Hi all,

I slept in this morning ... really late for me... just now getting up and moving ... we have about 3 inches of that white stuff on the ground.. it is freezing out there- in the teens right now.. got my heater going for sure... going to make some stew for dinner tonight.. and some bread I think... Carrie just called me to say she is going to pick up boys at school- took her 45 min to get them to school this morning- I can usually get to Derek's school in 7 min... nasty out there....

I am ignoring the insurance book so far this morn- do have to sit and go thru it... not looking fwd to it , would almost rather clean house...

Well off to get shower and dress... then off to read and try and figure out the insurance.....

Nana

I decided not to brave the roads taking Ted to school. All the news was about the horrid accidents out there. No reason to endanger ourselves. I also lit my fire on the deck today and have a warm sausage casserole in the crockpot. I need to go top it with cheese in a bit.
Thinking warm thoughts.

What do you do with the pecans, Belinda? Freeze them or something? I do collect some nuts to freeze for future uses.

That tub of nuts looks wonderful, Belinda. My Daughter's in-laws have pecan trees. The are farmers so the men spend much of the winter shelling nuts for the ladies to use.

You are one lucky lady to have access to them. thumbup

I am currently making my Thanksgiving grocery list..and as luck would have it, I don't need to buy as much as I thought I did--Thank goodness for a well-stocked pantry YAY !!!!

I got mine done this week, my mom laughed; she asked if I was planning on spending two days cooking for just her, my son, and I... She always chuckles when the answer is yes...

I never really liked the whole small holiday feel, so I always try to make things as grand as possible for Trey (and now Aubree whenever she gets to spend time with us).

---come on over---I'll save you a piece of the Pecan Pie.

I think it ia grand of you to make the holidays as festive as possible for Trey---and now Aubree. In the process, you and your mom will feel festive as well... grin

I am going to go to bed soon---as I have to get up early & go sit with my grandson.

I wish everyone a good night & a better tomorrow. shewinks

Good morning all, hoping all is well with everyone.

I have been busy, as usual...I fell behind on chores this year but am finally catching up. Working part time sure takes it's toll with the full time job I have here lol

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving planned kissie

Good morning. The windy part of our storm is sweeping through. It invaded my dreams in the night and I am up early as well. I may just go back to bed though. Because I can.

Tire maintenance is important, Belinda. Are you planning on traveling during these holidays?
It was a long Friday. But I woke an hour early so it would feel that way even without the weather. Very windy and spitting rain. It was dry down in town but up in my foothills it is wet. And the mountains above me are getting snow. The drive into town involved dodging places where the roads had flooded and it left behind lots of mud and rocks. Then there were a lot of branches and palm fronds to evade. It made for an interesting ride.

I guess no matter where we live we have driving issues.

Storming here at the moment...the older I get, the more I hate the snow.

In summer I feel like I dislike heat the most. In winter it is the cold. But my overall temps and things are fairly mild in comparison to some of you. I try not to complain much. It is more that the road conditions were interesting and confirmed my decision not to take Ted to school in that weather on Thursday.
Good morning. Still cold and windy but no more rain until Thanksgiving day. I have no plans to go out today. I do plan on getting some housework done. I may have no power so the electric company can work on the grid. But with the winds, I'm not sure that is going to happen today. We will see.

Good afternoon. I got a lot done this morning. Mostly in the house. That is good stuff. There is so much more to do. But each little bit is helpful.

wavy wavy

Sorry ladies:

See, when I got home Friday night it was time for supper--then My oldest texted me saying she was coming to spend the weekend on Friday night instead of Saturday morning---so I had to quick make up her bed & straighten her room...THEN I jammed my left foot into my end table in the livingroom--& I am still in a bad way with it----

THEN--I spent the whole weekend with my Valarie--we went shopping yesterday to try to find her some maternity clothing. Then we went to a "teacher store" to get some Christmas bulletin board trim.

Today we spent the morning with her coughing (she has a sinus infection) and me sitting with my foot up. Then this afternoon we went to my MIL's assisted livng place and had an Early Thanksgiving Dinner.---Val went home at 3:30...& we just finished a supper of Pizza.

Life is back to normal now...Sorry I was not around this weekend---I just do not get to spend time with my oldest very much these days...

Ah! I remember now. You needed to fix up Valarie's room and the dinner at assisted living. I have a head cold going and the stuffiness has removed room to retain. Not sure why I worried.
I hope your foot is in recovery mode. And gets back to normal quickly.

Thanks for worrying--it's actually nice that someone does. kissie
That is why I had Valarie become a member here back in the day, so she could come on & tell you all if something was amiss with me---but she says she has forgotten her username (I think it was Valarina00 ) & Password, so I will have to do something about that. why

Besides, head colds do that to people (make them forget)..

My foot it sure hurts, and while I thought I had broken some toes & possibly cracked the foot, I think I may get by with things as they are. Thanks for asking though. (I have a boot that I was given the last time I broke some toes, and that was all they did the last time, so).....

Tomorrow I am taking my MIL to get her blood tests & then she wants to do some grocery shopping. Later I may go help my daughter as she is having both Thanksgiving AND the "Dudley Thanksgiving" & so she has lots to do.

Finally going to sleep soon. nite-nite snooz

Good morning all, I see we were all busy.

Tina must have sent her strong winds this way, I couldn't even bring grandbaby back home yesterday with the weather...hoping to bring her home later. The winds are just awful. Drifting snow is horrible for driving.

Glad Junie got some much needed time with her DD, hoping the foot is just a minor thing kissie Be careful, that's alot of errands to do with a possible fracture.

Nice to see Dodge and Cheryl dropping in.

Good Morning !!

Yep, nice to see Cheryl & Dodge---Sheri has been around too !!!

I suspect we may see more of Cheryl--as she now only has 1 job not 2, right Cheryl ???

And we can hope that barb has less troubles getting online here from now on.
I saw on the side bar that Sheri was sick--I hope she is soon better...

I am just stopping by to say good morning---I have to get to my MIL's here in a few moments---
I wish everyone a great day wavy

Good morning. It is feeling odd to not have to get ready for school on a Monday. But we are off all week. I can actually sleep in.
Our storm is moving east and causing all kinds of problems for travelers. And some snow for Nana, I think. We are to have another on Thursday but they are not yet sure how it will affect us. I do like the rainfall.
