Good afternoon. Enrolling my son is easy. But I had to ask for the enrollment packet a few days into the term.
Got a few things done today. It has been a long week already.

Enrolling the kids is easy, it's the long lines and waiting, waiting , waiting, that is tiresome zoink .
Going to the school tonight to meet the teacher for Julian, taking his supplies with me , enough to get him started the first 6 weeks that is.

Sounds good about you going to meet Julian's teacher. I always found meeting the girls teachers to be a good thing

We have no lines. The kids go to school and bring home a packet. If you are changing schools or something, you can call the district offices and the kids names are put onto the rolls. Then they go to school and bring home the packet. I have seen the lines in other places on the news and am very grateful. Middle and high school students do need to get into lines to get their class schedules their first year in each school. But the lines are normally the alphabet broken into fourths, A through F, etc

Nice to live in rural areas here.
I think classes are divided to 20 students . Like Say 8 first grades with 20 in each room.

2maro my granddaughter grade one.. Goes to meet the teacher an see their class room. Her own personal doing. Introductory into the first day of school. Haley loves school .

Glad she is excited.

Good morning. I hope you can dry out enough to get the rest of your hay in, Sunny. I would stop to shop for you but I think the shipping costs will be horrendous.

Weird weather for you,Sunny.
Good second morning from me. I was up in the middle of the night with a sick boy and the laundry involved with that. And even though he went right back to sleep, I did not. So I turned off the alarm and we will stay home to make sure he is really over whatever was causing him distress. He seems much better today.

It must have been a busy Friday for everyone. I do smile when I think of Carol getting in her grandson time.
Teddy is feeling better today. I am glad. I feel so bad for him when he is ill because he cannot complain like most can. And he is always so good.

Good morning all coffee

I don't think my landlady upstairs ever 'sleeps in' . Here it is Sat. and she doesn't have to go to work, but she's still up about 5 or 5:30, stomping around and back and forth on her hardwood floors right over my head. A dead man couldn't sleep down here! rspb
I realize lots of people just naturally like to get up early, but you would think that they would try to think about the person under them.
Oh well, I guess I should have put all that in my 'Whine' thread Cindy made....sorry.

Today I'm either going to be working on a quilt top, or typing on my PC. I've spent two days trying to get a lot of paper files (from my writing) typed into the computer files. I've torn up and thrown away two trash cans full of paper so far. This will be less junk for me to haul with me when I move....and less junk to 'put somewhere' in my new apt.

My hands and my chest bones that were 'sawed open' have been hurting me during this rainy weather, so which ever I do is kind of painful.

This week, starting today, is suppose to be sunny and about 82 though so maybe it will be OK. Otherwise I'll just read....at least my eyes or brain doesn't hurt clap

Good Morning everyone !!! Coffee in hand here...

I had a great time yesterday....Luke is saying so many new words---and they seem to be multi-sylabled. He was sad when his mom left for work, but was ok with me a minute later--but when she came home, he went to her & waved at me...you know, saying now you can leave ?? I did come home wore out though I must say...

Sunny: Yep--I guess your DH & Mine are related at that.. lol
I love pickled beets, but since Rod does not, I usually either just buy them or make 1 jar of ice-box pickled beets at a time. I am so envious of your 17 jars...YUM !!
Sounds like your weather is just as messed up as the weather the rest of us are having....I hope you got thru yesterday safely...

Tina: Thanks for the kind words. and yes, I had a very nice
time with my grandson..he is sure a sweetie, but then I would say that, right ? Sorry Ted was sick. and glad to hear that he is feeling better. I just hate it when the kids are sick---To my notion, we feel their pain..

Shirley: Golly you sure are one busy lady. I hope you are enjoying your writing, and the quilt making..sounds like fun. About the being up early--Rod says he has to get up early on his days off or else it is hard to get up on a work day---I don't have that problem, but I guess many people do ? I do agree though, they sure could be much quieter for the people around them...and my last comment---If I may ask, where/when are you moving ?? Did you find a better place ???

Dodge: I agree. I too miss Diane's writings..

I don't know when I am moving but I have moved up on a waiting list from 29th to 18th. I'm moving so I can have more rooms (and sleep). I'm getting too claustrophobic here in this little space. I'll still be in Rocky Mount, VA though! I'll also still be within walking distance to everywhere I go now, just from a different direction, and a lot closer to some other areas which had been quite a long, long walk.
