not real long--it depends on the piece.
If I am under a dealine & am using stains, once I clean it & get the greenware fired, I just bring it home & it can be done in a few days.

Hey, everyone--here is my latesat project in ceramics---5 "flat" snowmen. They have happy faces on one side & sad faces on the other---
These 2 snowmen are of the same pose--I had 2 poured.
[Linked Image]

These 2 are of the "sad" side--still kinda cute though.... why

[Linked Image]

Then finally is the last one--The twinkle in his eye was put there by a friend of mine at ceramics---it is a Snowflake twinkle--I hope you can see it well enough...

[Linked Image]

Thanks so much for looking---- bow

Wow Carol,

The work of a genius........Bet your kids will share in your loot.............

My sis in law had that business once, she is no longer living.. But she had her own kiln an stuff.
Prices were high.

Keep on painting Carol.......Who knows what you may get.. Are you able to order your own figures to be poured? Or do you have to just use theirs?

OMG, those are just to cute for words.

I'm telling you Carol, you need to start selling some of your items.

I must unpack my Christmas items to post a pic of the little Nativity that Carol made me last month. Absolutely beautiful kissie It is such a treat to get those gifts from you.

Dodge:
The people that have this business have their own molds--& as long as he has the molds, we can buy the items from him. Otherwise we usually go to a ceramics show that is held one time a year & we buy things already to paint there & bring them back to jerry's shop. he will then charge us for the paints & firings that is/are needed to complete the piece.
"Jerry Dale" has the mold for these 4 snowmen. (This one mold has the 4 snowmen to it) I had painted them all darker so I asked him to sell me 1 snowman extra and that one I painted yellow, to off set the others.----he is in the first picture above,

Well, We have thought of that--but really I am not good enough at painting the eyes to sell them to people. And besides, even if I concentrated on the things w/o eyes, it takes so long that I could not make much profit.

I just got done looking through this post and LOVE all the painting you do on the ceramics! I would never be able to pick out my favorite, although the Holloween stuff is just adorable. Keep up the "Carol" time, we all enjoy it!
