Yes, you should have called them!
You was up because of their dogs, you should have made sure they were up also!

How do they get into your basement? Don't you have a door down their, and shut?

I just got a call from Carrie, her boys just informed her they need to come to Nana's and play and eat cause she is no fun and I have food...so guess I am being invaded again today...
yesterday we bought a pkg of small balloons and they played outside with them.. water balloons and just blown up.. they had more fun running around...

They have a meeting at Derek's new school today too... to get him transferred and registered... hopefully all will go well and it will be a good move... so hard to know what is best ...

Well off to get ready for my invasion... haven't even had my breakfast yet...

I walked to the Library and when I came home and sat down to read I promptly went to sleep. I'm doing that a lot any more. I feel like Cindy in her chair all day. notme

Why is it that when I used the quote button to use a part of Carol's post it isn't gray or darker blue, like anybody else's?? why

Why is it I have so many problems like that when I love my PC and love doing stuff on it so much?? why

Why isn't there a thread on here called "Why....." for whiners like me?? why
.....or is there??

You need to leave the end quote symbol in place. That is the second quote in brackets. If both the first bracketed quote and the second are in place it highlights your quote for you.
If not, it messes with all of our minds.

Dodge, you still haven't said how you blew up your stove. And I'm whining about it.

But Tina, I didn't take a quote off, myself. Do I highlight the quote first, then click the quote button? I think I did it the other way around the other time.

Good Morning TGIF party

Hello Shirley,, I think Dodge did explain about her stove and what happened I remember reading why it stopped working, I just can't remember where I read it.

I don't drink coffee as often as I used to, but this morning it is exceptionally good! Maybe it was the Creme Brulee coffeemate that makes it so good grin thumbup

Good morning Diane.

Well, I guess I will never know now. Oh well.

My coffee is good....once I got up from here and poured me a cup. grin It would be nice to be rich and have a maid. If I was rich but didn't bother with anything else fancy, I would have a maid and housekeeper......or maybe just a 'keeper' lol

LOL

My stove was the topic last nite/////I was bone tired an took a bath an fell asleep by tv.. Cleaning out the garage for major repairs.

Stove was on while I was canning Beets an a huge pop an a flame shot out from under the burner.. It must of been bad cause all the lights went out on the electric stove. It is 14 years old.
So IN another week my new one is to be here.
I don't work with electric failures.. I did put a heating element in it 2 months ago....That was not the cause.

Good morning. I have only had an electric stove a couple of times in apartments. I do not like them much. I love my propane. I can cook when the electricity is out. And they are much simpler machines in general. Besides less costly to run.

Well Dodge, inquiring minds wanted to know... shewinks...

So glad nothing really bad happened. and gee, a new stove is always a nice thing to get--

I myself love gas stoves. I have never had an electric one & I like that situation. When we bought this house the seller was going to buy me a electric stove, as it would save him form putting in the gas line---so I said, nope keep the stove, & put in a gas line with that money--he did & I bought my own stove.--But I still miss my magic Chef range that I left at the farm. As for heating elements--I seem to have to replace them every so many years, no matter waht brand of stove I have---I guess I cook alot.

I am going to a ceramics show today---They have so many vendors that this is where I buy my supplies for the year---brushes & the like--catch everyone later...

I have elec stove and have had for yrs.. it would cost 10 grand to bring gas to house so won't do it.. love to cook on gas stove though.. what I learned on yrs ago ..but I make do with what I have and do alright..

I spent this morning figuring out a weighted blanket for Jon (my son in law) he tried Derek's for his restless legs and decided it helped so I found 2 old flat twin flat sheets.. and a couple throws that are both green- one bigger then other but will make a nice border that way... it will be slightly bigger than Derek's but about same weight with beads... since it's all stuff I had already won't cost anything but the beads... and will get those when I have the money... can do the basic sewing up to loading the beads... am making it in 4 sections so it will be easier to sew with the beads...

Well off to get some more cleaning done.. no boys today.. another school meeting for Carrie so she goes to work late today.. Derek is all registered in new school.. bus schedule to be determined.. so first week we may be taking him... Carrie took week off so that won't be a problem.. Joe changed his days off the rest of this quarter so we will be able to take him too if bus isn't possible for him and to take Nicoli , Timba's school starts earlier so we won't want him walking alone.. he is only 8 ... 3 boys- 3 schools... may take 3 of us some days...LOL!
Have a good morning all!

I am glad you got an extra ceramics day tucked into your week, Carol. A time just for you.
Nana, it is hard when kids in a family are all in different schools. I walked a mile to school and back most of my elementary days. Then, after I had kids, I bought my mom's house and my older set of kids walked that same mile unless it was raining. But by the time my second set of kids was born, it was a different world and I was much more protective.

I didnt buy any ceramic pieces, althought I would have loved to. What the vendors do is they paint the pieces so to entice ceramic shops to buy their molds., so I could not buy any finished pieces... nono--
I only bought some paint & brushes. I do however have a few new halloween pieces that I have made. Later tonight I will take photos & then show them to you.

Yes it is----and actually the ceramics is just a side note---There are 5 or 6 of us that are left going to this one shop now----and we mainly go to "get away from it all" kinda like a cheap therapy session. Esp now---recently we have all started going to lunch together---so now our days together last until 2 in the afternoon---party

I wish I was more artistic.. your ceramics are always so pretty Carol... can't wait to see the new ones...

I made 4 meatloaves today- we ate one and other 3 will go in freezer for quick dinners... with school starting I am sure we will need a few of those...

It is going to be harder with all 3 in school.. if Derek can ride the bus will be a little easier... he is going to try and he told me he rode in the car all the way to and from Az so a bus ride should be easy... so keeping our fingers crossed... Nicoli took his school supplies in today... he has same teacher and she made him her asst for the first week since he knows the routine... he sat down at his desk and told her she needed to have the janitor raise it up for him cause he has grown a lot... about 2 1/2 inches... he couldn't get his legs under it... so he is growing again... we know he is doing better health wise- has only had an attack about every 3 weeks but can eat again most of time so that has helped a whole lot.. hopefully the trend will continue... one of his classmates from last yr who has gone on to 3 grade asked why he was in 2nd again and he just said he was sick to much last yr so had to do it over but was no big deal cause he knew he could do it all this yr... teacher was impressed he was so matter of fact about it... she said some kids would be embarrassed but not him..

Well off to clean up my kitchen mess... and finish my last load of laundry up... got a late start on it today. working on Jon's blanket...LOL!

Dodge, I have posted my new ceramics down in Hobbies.

Sherri: YOU are the one--you are always so busy & I think so efficient. YOU do so many find things, & do them well---sewing comes to mind w/o even thinking. I am envious of your talents, for sure.
