I live in Michigan and during the winter it's great to have (or try to find) plants that flower in the house in the winter. I've had my rose of Sharons that I grew from seed flower in the winter with luck.

Sometimes I see minature rose Bushes in small pots at the store. How would these do in the winter? I love minature rose bushes, anyone got any advice?

Hi adelore - welcome to the group! I must ask you how you grow rose of Sharon inside? I have 2 beautiful trees outside that drop seeds everywhere and I pick those seedlings out of the grass and share them with my friends and family once they are about 8 inches tall. But I've never tried growing any inside! I have several starts that are well rooted and about 12 inches tall now - leftovers that my husband's coworkers did not want this time.

Where do you grow them inside? Which sun direction - N, E, S, W???

Do you have any pictures you can share with us? We LOVE to see everyone's pictures of plants/flowers!
