Cheryl and Cindy, IF We lose 'friends' because we stand by our convictions and facts , then they were friends that didn't value us anyway, and they were the type of person that is only our friends if we agree with everything they say or feel about things. rspb

I love a good debate, and know there will be different views and opinions, but I can still value my friends at the end of it all, while others carry it too far and hold grudges. rolz

Hi Priyanka, glad you made it over to banter hall grin we're happy you landed here too grin

*******
It is dark and muggy out this morning, I hope we get the rains they are calling for.
I'm taking Breyton and Julian to get haircuts today,( their hair is growing so fast this summer) stopping by bestbuy, then home for the day.

Good morning. I am doing haircuts today as well. There are a couple more weeks before school begins so it gives me time to fix any naughty parts of a cut. I have purchased all of the school clothes and they are all put away. We are ready. I have school supplies all stacked and ready to take in at the beginning of the year.
It is going to be hot today. Back to triple digits.

Oh wow,, I can't even begin buying school clothes, all three boys shot up taller this past spring and summer. All of them will need new jeans, Tre is the hardest to find for,, 34W 36-38L,, shock and he likes the slim/ or skinny jeans fit egad. that combination is the hardest to find zoink I will have to order on line for Tre.
Julian is hard to find because he still has a size 7 waist but needs an extra long, difficult to find those, so I probably have to get an 8 long, I just don't find the xtra long anymore. why
Since I hate shopping I call all the stores I think will have the sizes I need,if they have them then I go in and OUT, to purchase.
Good thing they don't wear uniforms I'd have a heck of a problem finding pants to fit.
Right now we have a gentle rain, should hope it stays with us for the whole day ! grin looking forward to temps in the mid 80's mon and tues,, then back up we go zoink

I need a haircut. Keep meaning to get Rachel to whack about 6 inches off when she is here, but I get so excited when they visit I forget about the hair needing cut.

Hating myself today for the mistakes I've made. I understand the stress from the divorce played a part but I'm still disappointed in myself. I'm negative $300 right now. At least my car payment didn't get rejected.

I can relate. When I killed my husband in '94 I was so depressed I maxed several credit cards out. They would come to turn the water, etc off because I didn't pay the bill...and I would pay it with a credit card. (They (credit card people) are still looking for me...don't tell then you know me.)

Good morning, it hit triple digits here yesterday...same for today. Good gosh, how do you people live in heat like this??

Next year, we will be investing an AC.

Made 9 bottles of wild strawberry jam and 8 bottles of tame berry jelly so far. Feels good to see them sitting on the shelf.

It is not easy to live in the heat. As I age it gets harder. But so does cold. We get cranky and harder to please. An emergency a/c will be a good thing, Sunny. And I do not cook much when it is hot.
But heat is relative. I start hunting a sweatshirt to toss on at about 70*.
Today will be mid 90's here.
I am up too early. I may just lay myself back down for a bit before I begin my day.

I have dinner ready when it cools down enough for appetites to come alive again. BBQ pork (in the crock) sandwiches with salads and raw veggies on the side. Have a house full of fruits and vegetables to eat up. I love this season for fresh food.
Still working on my watering system up on the hillside. Then I will plant the fruit trees I purchased.

The heat--I do little of nothing outdoors in it. I go out of the evening to care for my plants, as I cannot deal with the heat either.

I still cook meals as normal though---sometimes even in the oven--but I try to make enough to have leftovers so the Microwave can be utilized the second night---

I am sorry for you Sunny---and yes an Air condition for next year might be a very good investment.

Good morning...hoping you both got your sleep you need.

I am feeling better lately, guess the meds are working. I am not nearly half as tired as I was the past month as well.

Another hot one for today...I have been cooking on the bbq instead of in the house this past week. I really need to get a crock pot as well, I have a tiny one for baked beans but it is too small for anything else. I could plug it outside so it wouldn't heat the house.

Yup next years list includes an AC and a crock pot lol

So glad your feeling better Sunny grin
I get up early on the weekends and cook , I don't know what I would do with out an ac,,even in the mornings zoink Could you maybe get a small window ac for your main living area or at least your bdrm so you can sleep comfortably? I would probably just live off sandwiches and salads fresh fruit and veggies sliced up,and bbq enough for a couple of days I guess til it cooled down. You can foil wrap veggies with some olive oil and seasoning on the grill too, it's really yummy that way thumbup
I can only imagine how you're not used to those kind of high temps there. shock

Good morning. I am waiting on some daylight to go out and work on some of my outdoor sprinklers. I cannot do that during the full on heat of the day. I may have to go out and get parts today.

Good morning wavy
Today we are having another In house lunch/meeting today at work.
This time it's a pot luck meeting. Since 70% of our workers are Korean it will be mostly Koren food. It will be an interesting lunch, with sticky rice, spicy pork, Kim chi cabbage ,green steamed sweet potatoes, along with what ever "American" foods are brought. We have done this before, it certainly made for an interesting lunch lol ME? I'm bringing fresh sliced cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes, soaking in vinegar, sugar, oil , cracked pepper. I figure I'm safe with that dish and everyone will eat it
I have to admit over the past few years I've acquired a taste for some of the Koren foods, some of it is really good!

Repairs are going well, Sunny. It is an ongoing issue here. I cannot use normal sprinklers because of my water pressure problems. It means I need fairly constant attention to my micro sprinklers. I am also finessing the cleanup things that my older son is not so good with. And surrounding my house with diatomaceous earth.
I am very grateful for the cool mornings we have had.

Good morning all wavy

Just finished posting in Diane's wonderful tribute to Bill. I had such a good time when I visited Cedar Hill, and I remember all those places in the pictures, and the stories.

It is so hot here, in the 90's, but I'm not going to complain because I hate cold weather so much. thumbup

I have been busy, busy. Such as quilting, reading, long walks etc. I have made three quilts since I was on here last.
Since my heart surgery last year I had lost weight down to 118lbs. and it is still holding steady there, only because of changing the way I eat (no diet) and walking a lot (no hard exercise), which makes me happy.

My granddaughter spent the other weekend with me and finished a quilt she was making (she's 13). She also helped me go through a bunch of shelves with lots and lots of full notebooks. They were full of a lifetime of Bible Study and Bible Class Notes for the class I taught for years. It was a lot of hours and work, and to get rid of it hurt, but it was just taking up space that I don't have. Kali said, "Grandma, do you ever read through any of it now?", to which I said no and she said, "Will you ever use it to teach again?", to which I said no so she said, very forcefully, "Then toss it!" So I did. why boohoo
But, that is a lot of stuff I won't have to move.

Well, I'm going to get on Webkinz now, which is what I do every morning, then have breakfast....and more coffee! coffee

Never mind, I found it. What a pain. rspb I don't know why it can't still be on the side. It and the Shout box were the first things I looked at before I posted anywhere. If the change was to make things 'easier', it didn't. I never understand why things, in all kinds of situations, are 'fixed if it's not broken'. why That's just me.

Good morning. More garden stuff for me then as it warms Teddy and I will go to a couple of stores. A nap then dinner. My day in a nutshell.

Nice to see Shirls checking in...

Nice breeze here, about time. Heading out in a few to help tackle DD's apartment without her knowing it. I'll be in trouble when she gets home from work devil

Someone please explain to me how a child who grew up with an OCD cleaning mother could be so unorganized? why

With a days worth of users and bots it was too much data to be lodged on the side still as it made the page stretch downward on pages without a lot of data.

Well, in order to do a proper logging of user statistical information I had to recode the box to be a larger one; it made no sense for it to only show the last 20 minutes of activity (from a logging perspective) so it was enhanced to show a days worth of logged users.
