Good morning.
Welcome home, Cheryl.
I am thinking of Carol going off to ceramics this morning.
Tamara, I will send more warmth eastward for you for the next couple of months.
Northern California got some unusual rain this week. A very real blessing. I would love more to come south. We could get some in our monsoonal August. I will hope.

Good Morning wavy
Yesterday was a good day at work.My Boss and His Boss spoke with me about making me in charge of the Finishing dept. This means a raise, clap
They gave me a figure of straight salary or an hourly wage raise. Today I have to give them an answer which I would rather have. I think I'm going to go with the straight salary raise. Since I have to take off work with the boys appt's., school stuff, etc, salary would work best, since I wouldn't have to clock in and out like I would if I were to leave go to the appts and come back. Salary I wouldn't have to clock in and out, I wouldn't lose time off the paycheck., so it would benefit my family with salary. clap
Being in Charge of the finishing dept, I would have to QC( quality control) every finished appliance before it left the lab, they know how picky I am, and have often said IF I were QC I wouldn't let this go out. Some of DDS are complaining about some of the work they are getting, due to our Previous QC person being in a hurry and not looking over the work as thorough as he should have . tapfoot
I still would do some office work, and consult with Dr's about designs of Partial and that is taken into consideration upon the salary wage, which is a GOOD thing.
I'm excited about this new position! clap

Congratulations Diane... good for you.. all your hard work has paid off...and 2 extra days off to boot... that's terrific..

I spent the day at Carrie's cleaning boys rooms with them helping...it's been a long day.. and I am tired.. carrie called this morning and asked me to supervise the boys cleaning- they just hit the surface if Jon does it and she just doesn't have the energy at the moment to do it.. they would clean and I would go in and find something else they needed to do... Nicoli was funny - he said Nana you can go home now I am tired! Well after I got done I was tired too... came home and took a hot bath and realized it was really hot in here.. cooler quit working.. but I think Joe has it fixed now... was 95 here today so I really hope so...

Well I have to go find something for dinner... has to be fast and easy... I am hitting my pillow early tonit.. Have a good evening all!
Nana

I hope Joe got it working well, Nana. I have put new pumps into two of mine. The third one got a new pump last year. I have new pads to go around all of them and will get my son working on that. But maybe after this current heatwave passes.

good morning,,
When I woke up this morning, I was freezing! Throat was raw ,nose was running, Julian was asleep on the couch wrapped up in a blanket,, I thought what the heck??

I looked at the thermostat and it was on 70 shock
I'm thinking Julian got up in the night to use the restroom, and reached up to turn on the hall light and turn the thermostat down instead,, Brrrrrr it was cold LOL. I looked in on Tre and Breyton and they were wrapped up in blankets too. Too funny considering when we went to bed it was still 87 degrees out side. egad weird the things we do when we are still 1/2 asleep. lol Second night in a row when I got up to go to work, Julian was on the couch instead of in his bed why

Hi all,
Yes Joe got cooler working again... Home Depot didn't have a new spider for it so he used wire to clear out the old one and superglued the part back on that broke off.. works fine now... only our second time repairing in 13 yrs so not bad... really glad he fixed it cause it's supposed to hit triple digits today...

Carrie's house has been invaded by flying ants... can't figure out where they are coming from but she sprayed and vacummed 3 times this morning... hopefully she will get them all... we used to get them before we had the cottonwood removed- it was full of ants .. so I imagine someone close to her has an infested tree...

Well paid my bills... gathered laundry to wash and had breakfast and meds so guess I better take a shower and get busy before it does heat up even more... the fires are slowly being contained- only one now growing still... they finally banned fireworks in our county.. news just came on and said there is another one now... fire... not close to us though.. we are so very dry...praying for rain!

Have a good day all!

Nana

I like it cold, my AC in my bedroom is always on and I have the door open to my room so the entire upstairs gets cool (heat rises and it gets rather hot up there lol).

We just replaced the kitchen and library windows; the kitchen window was an old aluminum single pane window and the library window WAS a really good window until it shattered (Christmas lights plus cold outside can be a bad combo lol) so we finally got it fixed... And I noticed this week that it's really doing a good job of keeping it temperate through that end of the house.

We have one window that is an old aluminim window now but it's weatherized really well so it's not much of a worry.

We called Millguard to replace our sliding glass door but they ordered the wrong size and "had to come back" which is a month out due to their mistake; did I mention it's going to be ninety most of this week? lol.

Nana, see if she can get some food grade diatomaceous earth somewhere around there. It is my new favorite insect killer. I have surrounded my house with it outdoors. It works both wet and dry and is not dangerous to children or animals. Just bugs and snails and such. It may not be a cure for flying ants if they don't actually touch it. But it works on spiders and most crawly things. You can also use it indoors.

I know what you mean about windows and doors.. we replaced all the windows and outside doors about 14 yrs ago... and had insulated siding put on house... made a big difference in our utilities costs...

I have stayed inside today and fairly cool... it only got to 96 today.. so no records yet... did get my laundry done and house dusted... hunted down the movies that weren't in cases ,, still missing one, got the case but the movie is missing... has to be in house somewhere... boys are going to get a lecture next time they are here to put things away... think it was Nicoli cause it's a Harry Potter one and he is on a binge of watching them right now...

Well off to finish last load of laundry and get it all folded... it dried outside in a bout 20 minutes today... shades of AZ... LOL!
Have a good evening all!
Nana
