How are the spring flowers progressing in your area? Here we had a cold spring but it still seems like the lilacs, lily of valley and such are early. They aren't open yet but it should be so soon! I always keep track since I was married on May 15th so we could use lilacs and lily of valley in the wedding. How about your area?

Well, we keep getting light snow but I see buds forming on my lilac bush and the pussy willows are starting to bloom. I also have buds on my mini daffodils.

I did see lilacs buds on my neighbors bush the other day when I was over there talking. Her bridal veil has also bloomed already. I love those. The azeala's are currently blooming over there.

Looks like all danger of frost is past here. I've got lots in bloom already: oriental poppies, azaleas, centaurea, gaillardia, snapdragons, dianthus, peonies, columbines, verbena, creeping phlox, ice plant, money plant, veronica, roses, salvias, geum, yarrow, mallows, armeria, catmint, red valerian, delphinium, bleeding heart, foxgloves, geraniums, hesperis, candytuft, iris, evening primrose, and scabiosa. I think that's all....

Wow what a list alanhart, it's a wonder that you remembered them all.

Nothing is blooming here, though the grass is green and the trees are budding. Most of my preiannuals are up and forming a nice set of leaves.

The lilies of valley are open now. It is at least a week early. Is it early elsewhere and do you think it is due to the winter or spring temps?
